Description

The present invention relates to a vehicle headlamp.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a vehicle headlight such as an automobile headlight, a vehicle headlight that reflects light from a light source on a single reflecting surface and irradiates the vehicle forward is known. Such vehicle headlamps are desired to have a narrow vertical width due to design requirements, but if the vertical width of the reflective surface is simply narrowed, the reflective area will be insufficient and desired. However, there is a problem that the light distribution performance cannot be obtained.

Thus, for example, in the vehicle headlamp 100 described in Patent Document 1, the light emitted from the light source in the vertical direction is reflected to the left and right, and further, the light is reflected forward of the vehicle to solve the above problem. ing.

FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the vehicular headlamp 100, and FIG. 4 is a conceptual view of the vehicular headlamp 100 in a plan view.
As shown in these drawings, the vehicle headlamp 100 is disposed above a bulb (light source) 110, a parabolic first reflecting surface 120 having a focal point F1 near the bulb 110, and the bulb 110. The elliptical second reflecting surfaces 130, 130 having the first focal point F21 in the vicinity of the bulb 110 and extending in the left-right direction are disposed on the left and right sides of the first reflecting surface 120. Parabolic third reflecting surfaces 140 and 140 having a focal point F3 in the vicinity of the second focal point F22 of the surfaces 130 and 130, and a translucent lens 150 disposed in front of these surfaces are provided.

According to the vehicle headlamp 100, the light emitted from the bulb 110 is reflected by the first reflecting surface 120 and irradiated to the front of the vehicle, and at the same time, the light emitted upward from the bulb 110 is second reflected. The light is reflected by the surfaces 130 and 130, collected at the second focal point F <b> 22 (focal point F <b> 3), and then reflected by the third reflective surfaces 140 and 140 and is irradiated forward of the vehicle.
As described above, in the vehicular headlamp 100, even when the vertical width of the first reflecting surface 120 is narrowed, the second reflecting surface 130 and the third reflecting surface 140 compensate for the reflecting area corresponding to the narrowed portion. Therefore, it is possible to obtain desired light distribution performance while narrowing the vertical width.

By the way, in recent vehicle headlamps, there is a case where it is formed in a shape inclined forward from the vehicle side end side toward the center side due to a requirement in vehicle body design.
Here, when the inclined shape is applied to the vehicle headlamp 100 described above, in order to configure the lamp chamber compactly in the vehicle front-rear direction, as shown in FIG. It is necessary to move the second reflecting surface 130 and the third reflecting surface 140 on the vehicle center side forward of the vehicle in accordance with the camber angle θ of the lens 150.

However, when the vehicle headlamp 100 is simply tilted in this way, the focal point F3 of the third reflecting surface 140 is located in front of the third reflecting surface 140, and therefore the camber angle θ is With the increase, the third reflecting surface 140 stands up in the vehicle front-rear direction. And if the third reflecting surface 140 stands upright, the light cannot be suitably reflected from the third reflecting surface 140 to the front of the vehicle, that is, the entire vehicle headlamp 100 is suitably placed in the vehicle front-rear direction. It cannot be tilted.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and is a vehicle headlamp that can obtain desired light distribution performance while narrowing the vertical width and can be suitably tilted in the vehicle front-rear direction. Offering is an issue.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the invention described in claim 1
A translucent lens inclined toward the front of the vehicle from the vehicle side end side toward the vehicle center side forms a front surface,
A light source;
A parabolic first reflecting surface that has a focal point in the vicinity of the light source and reflects light emitted from the light source toward the front of the vehicle;
An elliptical second reflecting surface that has a first focal point in the vicinity of the light source and reflects light emitted from the light source to a second focal point;
A parabolic third reflecting surface that has a focal point in the vicinity of the second focal point of the second reflecting surface and reflects the light reflected by the second reflecting surface toward the front of the vehicle;
In a vehicle headlamp comprising:
The second reflective surface is disposed above the first reflective surface,
The third reflecting surface is disposed in front of the vehicle and in the center of the vehicle with respect to the first reflecting surface, and is formed in a shape inclined in front of the vehicle from the vehicle side end side toward the vehicle center in plan view. ,
The second focal point of the second reflective surface and the focal point of the third reflective surface are located in front of the first focal point of the second reflective surface and on the vehicle center side and behind the third reflective surface. It is characterized by.
Here, “behind the third reflecting surface” means the back side with respect to the third reflecting surface, and does not mean the back side of the vehicle or the vehicle headlamp.

The invention according to claim 2 is the vehicle headlamp according to claim 1,
An elliptical fourth reflecting surface that has a first focal point in the vicinity of the light source and reflects light emitted from the light source to a second focal point;
It is a parabolic reflecting surface that has a focal point in the vicinity of the second focal point of the fourth reflecting surface and reflects light reflected by the fourth reflecting surface to the front of the vehicle, and more than the third reflecting surface. A fifth reflecting surface disposed at the rear of the vehicle;
Is further provided .

According to the present invention, even if the first reflecting surface that directly reflects the light from the light source to the front of the vehicle is formed to be short in the vertical direction, the light from the light source is reflected to the front of the vehicle while being guided to the vehicle center side. The reflection area can be supplemented by the second reflection surface and the third reflection surface. Therefore, desired light distribution performance can be obtained while narrowing the vertical width.
In addition, since the second focal point of the second reflecting surface and the focal point of the third reflecting surface are located behind the third reflecting surface, the light emitted from the light source and reflected by the second reflecting surface is the second reflecting surface. Before being focused on the second focal point (the focal point of the third reflecting surface), the light is reflected forward of the vehicle by the third reflecting surface. Therefore, unlike the conventional vehicle headlamps in which the focal point of the third reflecting surface is located in front of the third reflecting surface, the light reflected by the second reflecting surface does not spread and seems to be condensed. Since the light is incident on the third reflecting surface, the third reflecting surface is not raised in the vehicle front-rear direction, and the vehicle headlamp can be suitably tilted in the vehicle front-rear direction.

In addition, the third reflecting surface is a parabolic surface having a focal point behind it, that is, a surface formed in a convex shape instead of a concave shape as in the past, and thus a new appearance that is different from the conventional one. It can be.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 1 is a conceptual diagram in a plan view of a vehicle headlamp 1 according to the present embodiment.
As shown in this figure, the vehicle headlamp 1 includes a translucent lens 2 that inclines forward of the vehicle toward the center of the vehicle. The bulb 3 and the first reflecting surface 11 to the fifth reflecting surface 15 are accommodated in the lamp chamber in which the translucent lens 2 forms the front surface.
Among these, the bulb 3 has a filament 31 as a light source.

The first reflecting surface 11 is a parabolic free-form surface based on a rotating paraboloid and opens forward of the vehicle. The first reflecting surface 11 has a focal point F1 located in the vicinity of the filament 31, and reflects the light emitted from the filament 31 to the front of the vehicle. Here, “the vicinity of the filament 31” means the vicinity including the position where the filament 31 is disposed, and the description of “the vicinity” is used in the same meaning in the following description. The first reflecting surface 11 has a narrow vertical width and is elongated in the vehicle left-right direction.

The second reflecting surface 12 is a downward surface disposed above the half of the first reflecting surface 11 on the vehicle center side, and is an elliptical free-form surface based on a spheroid. The elliptical second reflecting surface 12 is inclined so that its long axis follows the translucent lens 2, and a first focal point F21 located in the vicinity of the filament 31 and the front of the first focal point F21 in the vehicle and And a second focal point F22 located on the vehicle center side. The second reflecting surface 12 reflects the light emitted from the filament 31 and focuses it on the second focal point F22.

The third reflecting surface 13 is a parabolic convex free-form surface based on the rotating paraboloid, and is disposed on the vehicle front side and the vehicle center side of the first reflecting surface 11. The third reflecting surface 13 has a focal point F3 located near the second focal point F22 of the second reflecting surface 12 and behind the third reflecting surface 13, and is reflected by the second reflecting surface 12. The reflected light L1 is reflected to the front of the vehicle before being focused on the focal point F3. Note that “behind the third reflecting surface 13” simply means the back side of the third reflecting surface 13, and does not mean the back side of the vehicle or the vehicle headlamp 1.

The fourth reflection surface 14 is a downward surface disposed above the half of the first reflection surface 11 on the vehicle side end side, and is an elliptical free-form surface based on a spheroid. The elliptical fourth reflecting surface 14 has a long axis substantially along the left-right direction of the vehicle, and is positioned on the vehicle-side end side of the first focus F41 located near the filament 31 and the first focus F41. And a second focal point F42. The fourth reflecting surface 14 reflects the light emitted from the filament 31 and focuses it on the second focal point F42. In addition, the part in which the 2nd reflective surface 12 and the 4th reflective surface 14 overlap in FIG. 1 should just be formed in any one of these reflective surfaces according to desired light distribution performance.

The fifth reflecting surface 15 is a parabolic free-form surface based on a rotating paraboloid, and is disposed on the vehicle side end side of the first reflecting surface 11. The fifth reflecting surface 15 has a focal point F5 located in the vicinity of the second focal point F42 of the fourth reflecting surface 14, and the light L2 reflected by the fourth reflecting surface 14 and passed through the focal point F5 is forward of the vehicle. Reflect.

According to the above vehicle headlamp 1, even if the first reflecting surface 11 that directly reflects the light from the filament 31 to the front of the vehicle is formed short in the vertical direction, the light from the filament 31 is transmitted to the vehicle. The second reflecting surface 12 and the third reflecting surface 13 that reflect to the front of the vehicle while being guided toward the center, and the fourth reflecting surface 14 and the fifth reflection that reflect the light from the filament 31 toward the front of the vehicle while being guided to the vehicle side end side. The reflection area can be supplemented by the surface 15. Therefore, desired light distribution performance can be obtained while narrowing the vertical width.

Further, since the second focal point F22 of the second reflecting surface 12 and the focal point F3 of the third reflecting surface 13 are located behind the third reflecting surface 13, they are emitted from the filament 31 and reflected by the second reflecting surface 12. The light L1 is reflected forward of the vehicle by the third reflecting surface 13 before being condensed at the second focal point F22 of the second reflecting surface 12 (focal point F3 of the third reflecting surface 13). Therefore, unlike the conventional vehicle headlamp in which the focal point of the third reflecting surface is located in front of the third reflecting surface, the light reflected by the second reflecting surface 12 is condensed without spreading. Thus, since it injects into the 3rd reflective surface 13, this 3rd reflective surface 13 is not made to stand in the vehicle front-back direction, and the vehicle headlamp 1 can be suitably inclined in the vehicle front-back direction by extension.

In addition, the third reflecting surface 13 is a parabolic surface having a focal point F3 behind it, that is, a surface formed in a convex shape instead of a concave shape as in the prior art, and thus a new appearance different from the conventional one. The appearance can be as follows.

The embodiments to which the present invention can be applied are not limited to the above-described embodiments, and can be appropriately changed without departing from the spirit of the present invention.

For example, in the above-described embodiment, it has been described that five reflecting surfaces of the first reflecting surface 11 to the fifth reflecting surface 15 are provided, but if a desired light distribution performance can be realized, as shown in FIG. Without providing the fourth reflecting surface 14 and the fifth reflecting surface 15, only the three reflecting surfaces of the first reflecting surface 11 to the third reflecting surface 13 may be provided.

Moreover, although the 2nd reflective surface 12 and the 4th reflective surface 14 demonstrated as providing above the 1st reflective surface 11, it is good also as providing below.
