本発明に係る合わせガラス用中間膜は、ポリビニルアセタール樹脂100重量部と、可塑剤42〜60重量部とを含有し、可塑剤が、炭素数16〜20の不飽和脂肪酸アルキルエステルであるため、合わせガラスを作製するときに、オートクレーブ処理を必ずしも行う必要がない。オートクレーブ処理ではない方法、たとえば、減圧したゴムバッグ中で中間膜とガラス板とを重ねて加熱する減圧加熱処理によって、中間膜とガラス板とを容易に密着させることができる。また、中間膜とガラス板との接着界面に気泡などの残留のない透明な合わせガラスを得ることができる。よって、高温・高圧下で中間膜とガラス板とを圧着する必要がないので、大型で高価な設備が不要となり、また製造コストも安くなる。更に、高温環境下においても耐貫通性に優れている合わせガラスを得ることができる。
K 6726「ポリビニルアルコール試験方法」に基づいて測定することができる。
攪拌装置を備えた反応器に、イオン交換水2890g、平均重合度1700及び鹸化度98.9モル%のポリビニルアルコール275gを投入し、攪拌しながら加熱溶解させ、溶液を得た。この溶液を12℃に調節した後、触媒として濃度35重量%の塩酸水溶液201gとn−ブチルアルデヒド148gとを加え、溶液温度を12℃に保って反応生成物を析出させた。その後、溶液を45℃に3時間保って反応を完了させた。過剰の水で反応生成物を洗浄し、水酸化ナトリウム水溶液で中和し、さらに過剰の水で2時間洗浄し、反応生成物を乾燥させて、ポリビニルブチラール樹脂Aの白色粉末を得た。得られたポリビニルブチラール樹脂の平均重合度は1700、ブチラール化度は65モル%、残存アセチル基量は1モル%であった。
上記ポリビニルブチラール樹脂A100重量部に、可塑剤として上記リシノール酸メチル42重量部を添加し、ミキシングロールで均一に溶融混練した後、プレス成形機を用いて、150℃で30分間プレス成形を行った後、エンボスロールを通過させた。それによって、厚み1.3mmで表面に刻線状のエンボス模様(以下、「エンボス刻線」という)が形成されており、JIS B0601:1994に準拠して測定された表面の十点平均粗さRzが30μmである合わせガラス用中間膜を作製した。
実施例2〜60、比較例1〜20では、可塑剤の種類、及び、配合割合を下記表1〜10に示すように変更したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして合わせガラス用中間膜を作製した。
(1)気泡の残留の有無、及びエンボス刻線の痕跡の有無
実施例及び比較例で得られた合わせガラス用中間膜を2枚の透明な湾曲ガラス板(長さ30cm、幅30cm)の間に挟持しサンドイッチ体を得た。このサンドイッチ体をゴムバックに入れて吸引脱気しながら0.018MPaの減圧下で、温度90℃で、ガラス板と中間膜とを予備接着させた。次に、サンドイッチ体を、0.018MPaの減圧下、温度100℃で20分間静置し、湾曲した合わせガラスを作製した。なお、各実施例及び比較例において、それぞれ3枚の合わせガラスを作製した。
◎:20倍のルーペを用いて観察したときに、3枚の合わせガラスのいずれにおいても気泡の残留がなく透明であった。
○:目視で観察したときに、3枚の合わせガラスのいずれにおいても気泡の残留がなく、透明であった。
△:目視で観察したときに、3枚の合わせガラスの内のいずれかの合わせガラスにおいて、わずかに気泡の残留が認められた。
×:目視で観察したときに、3枚の合わせガラスの内1枚以上の合わせガラスにおいて、明確な気泡の残留が認められた。
◎:20倍のルーペを用いて観察したときに、3枚の合わせガラスのいずれにおいても、エンボス刻線の痕跡がなく、透明であった。
○:目視で観察したときに、3枚の合わせガラスのいずれにおいても、エンボス刻線の痕跡がなく、透明であった。
△:目視で観察したときに、3枚の合わせガラスの内のいずれかの合わせガラスにおいて、わずかにエンボス刻線の痕跡が認められた。
×:目視で観察したときに、3枚の合わせガラスの内1枚以上の合わせガラスにおいて、エンボス刻線の明瞭な痕跡が認められた。
JIS R 3212に準拠して、得られた湾曲した合わせガラスの30℃における耐貫通性能の評価を行った。湾曲した合わせガラスを凸部が上側、凹部が下側になるように配置した後、質量2260±20g及び直径約82mmの鋼球を合わせガラス(長さ30cm、幅30cm)上に、4mの高さから合わせガラスの中心部分に落下させることにより行った。各3枚の合わせガラスについて評価した。耐貫通性能を下記評価基準で評価した。
○:3枚の合わせガラスの内の2枚以上の合わせガラスにおいて鋼球が貫通しなかった。
△:鋼球は、3枚の合わせガラスの内の1枚の合わせガラスのみを貫通しなかった。
×:鋼球は、3枚の合わせガラスのいずれをも貫通した。
Claims (5)
- ポリビニルアセタール樹脂100重量部と、可塑剤42〜60重量部とを含有し、
前記可塑剤が、炭素数16〜20の不飽和脂肪酸アルキルエステルである、合わせガラス用中間膜。 - 前記不飽和脂肪酸アルキルエステルがリシノール酸アルキルエステルである、請求項1に記載の合わせガラス用中間膜。
- 前記不飽和脂肪酸アルキルエステルがオレイン酸アルキルエステルである、請求項1に記載の合わせガラス用中間膜。
- 前記不飽和脂肪酸アルキルエステルがリノール酸アルキルエステルである、請求項1に記載の合わせガラス用中間膜。
- 少なくとも2枚の透明ガラス板と、該少なくとも2枚の透明ガラス板の間に接着されて挟持されている、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の合わせガラス用中間膜とを備える、合わせガラス。
