平均粒径1.4μの準化学量論的炭窒化チタン粉末、Ti(C0.3N0.7)0.8を、平均粒径5μmのAl粉末とタンブラー混合機を用いて混合した。Ti(C0.3N0.7)0.8とAlとの質量比は、90:10であった。その粉末混合物をチタンカップ中にプレスし、圧粉体を形成し、真空中で1025℃へ30分間加熱し、次に破砕し、粉砕した。その粉末混合物を次に4時間摩擦粉砕した。平均粒径が0.7μmの約30重量%のCBN及び平均粒径が2μmの残余のCBNを含むCBN粉末混合物を、60全体積%のCBNが得られるような或る量でスラリーに添加した。CBN含有スラリーを、摩擦粉砕を用いて1時間粉砕混合した。スラリーを真空中で乾燥し、圧粉体へ成形し、55キロバール(5.5GPa)で約1300℃で焼結し、CBN成形体を形成した。
材料1A:

材料2A:

材料3A:
平均粒径1.4μmの準化学量論的窒化チタン、TiN0.7を、平均粒径5μmのAl粉末とタンブラー混合機を用いて混合した。TiN0.7とAlとの質量比は、90:10であった。その粉末混合物をチタンカップ中にプレスし、圧粉体を形成し、真空中で1025℃へ30分間加熱し、次に破砕し、粉砕した。その粉末混合物を次に4時間摩擦粉砕し、平均粒径が0.7μmのCBNを添加し、ヘキサン中で1時間摩擦粉砕した。混合物中の計算したCBNの全体積%が約60%になるような仕方でその量のCBNを添加した。スラリーを真空中で乾燥し、圧粉体へ成形し、55キロバール(5.5GPa)で約1300℃で焼結し、CBN成形体を形成した。
Claims (5)
- 平均粒子径の異なる2つの粒子群から構成されたCBN粒子を含む製造組成物を焼結して得られたCBN成形体であって、
前記CBN成形体が、CBN粒子及びマトリックス相を含み、かつ、前記CBNの粒径頻度体積分布が、1μm以上のd90−d10として表した分布分散度を有し、d90最大値が2.5μm以下である、CBN成形体。 - 前記マトリックス相が、第4族、5族若しくは6族遷移金属の窒化物若しくは炭窒化物を含む化合物、又はそれらの混合物若しくは固溶体を含む第二硬質相を含む、請求項1に記載のCBN成形体。
- 前記第4、5、又は6族遷移金属がチタンである、請求項2に記載のCBN成形体。
- マトリックス相が、更に、アルミニウムを含む結合剤相を含む、請求項2又は請求項3に記載のCBN成形体。
- 請求項1〜請求項4のいずれか1項に記載のCBN成形体を含む工具挿入体。
