Description
Claims (3)
- 圧延工程を含む生産ライン内に設置し、移動経路に沿って移動する軸線を有する圧延ままの金属棒の表面欠陥を検出及び確認するための検査システムであって、
前記移動経路に沿った第1の位置に位置し、該第1の位置を通過して移動する際に、前記金属棒に誘導される渦電流群を示す第1出力信号を生成するように構成された貫通型渦電流欠陥検出装置である第1欠陥検出装置、
前記移動経路に沿った第2の位置に位置し、前記第1欠陥検出装置に対して予め定めた位置関係に配置され、該第2の位置を通過して移動する際の前記金属棒の複数の画像に対応する第2出力信号を生成するように構成された全周画像検査装置である第2欠陥検出装置、
前記予め定めた位置関係に基づき、前記金属棒の軸方向の位置の関数として、前記第1出力信号及び第2出力信号を同期させるように構成された同期メカニズム、及び、
第1欠陥及び第2欠陥をそれぞれ検出するために、前記第1出力信号又は第2出力信号に対して、それぞれ、応答し、また、該第1出力信号又は第2出力信号のうち、いずれか一方の出力信号を選択して、他方と相互参照する相互参照手段
を備えることを特徴とする検査システム。 - 前記金属棒上のある位置が、第1時点で前記第1欠陥検出装置を通過し、そして、該第1時点に続く第2時点で、第2欠陥検出装置を通過するように、金属棒が動き、さらに、前記検査システムが、
(i)前記第1出力信号に対応する第1データ群を有する第1データ構造と、
(ii)前記第2出力信号に対応する第2データ群を有する第2データ構造と、
を含み、
そして、前記同期メカニズムが前記予め定めた位置関係に基づいて、前記金属棒の軸線方向の位置に応じて、前記第1データ群を前記第2データ群とマッチングする手段を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の検査システム。 - 前記相互参照手段が、前記第1欠陥又は第2欠陥の一方から選択された任意の欠陥に対して、選択されていない前記第1欠陥又は第2欠陥のうち実質的に同じ軸線方向位置に位置する対応欠陥の存在を検証するように形成されたメカニズムを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の検査システム。
