- 流体薬剤を送達するシステムであって、
流体薬剤を収容する内部容積を持つ貯蔵容器内で軸方向に移動可能なプランジャヘッドと、前記貯蔵容器と前記プランジャヘッドの間に配置される少なくとも一つのシール部材と、を含み、
前記プランジャヘッドは、
流体薬剤が前記貯蔵容器の内部容積内に存在するときに流体薬剤と接触し、前記貯蔵容器の内部容積内の流体薬剤に適合する第1材料を含む第1外径の第1部位と、
前記第1部位の、前記貯蔵容器の内部容積と反対側に位置し、プランジャアームに接続可能で前記第1材料とは異なる第2材料を含む第2外径の第2部位と、
前記第1部位と前記第2部位の間に位置し、前記第1外径及び前記第2外径よりも小さい第3外径を有し、前記第1部位と前記第2部位とを共に連結する第3部位と、を含み、
前記第1部位、前記第2部位、及び前記第3部位の少なくとも一つは、環状オレフィン共重合体及び環状オレフィン重合体の一方を含む材料で作製され、

- 前記プランジャヘッドの前記第1部位及び前記第3部位の少なくとも一方に、前記プランジャヘッドの前記第2部位を着脱可能に取り付ける連結構造体を更に含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記プランジャヘッドの前記第3部位は、前記プランジャヘッドの前記第1部位及び前記第2部位それぞれの一部を収容して、前記プランジャヘッドの前記第1部位と前記第2部位とを共に連結するように構成される、請求項4に記載のシステム。
- 前記第3部位は、環状オレフィン共重合体及び環状オレフィン重合体の一方を含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2材料は、前記貯蔵容器の内部容積内の流体薬剤に適合しない、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1部位は第1隆起部を有し、
前記第2部位は第2隆起部を有し、
前記第1隆起部及び前記第2隆起部の少なくとも一方の周りに、複数の突出部が配置される、請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 前記突出部のそれぞれと前記貯蔵容器との間に空間が設けられる、請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1隆起部及び前記第2隆起部は、間隔を空けて分離されている、請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記プランジャヘッドから前記貯蔵容器の内側表面に向かって延びる複数の突出部であって、前記プランジャヘッドが前記貯蔵容器内で前記軸方向に移動するときに、前記貯蔵容器に対して前記プランジャヘッドを安定させる突出部を更に含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記プランジャヘッドは、当該プランジャヘッドが前記貯蔵容器内に存在するときに、前記貯蔵容器の前記軸方向に沿って位置する軸を有し、前記複数の突出部は、互いに間隔を空けて設けられ、かつ、前記プランジャヘッドの軸を中心として周方向に配列される、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記プランジャヘッドから前記貯蔵容器の内面に向かって延びる複数の突出部であって、前記プランジャヘッドが前記貯蔵容器内で前記軸方向に移動するときに、前記貯蔵容器に対して前記プランジャヘッドを安定させる複数の突出部を更に含み、前記複数の突出部は、前記プランジャヘッドの前記第1部位から延びる第1の複数の突出部、及び前記プランジャヘッドの前記第2部位から延びる第2の複数の突出部を含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも一つのシール部材は、前記プランジャヘッドに配置され、前記プランジャヘッドが前記貯蔵容器内に位置するときに、前記プランジャヘッドから前記貯蔵容器の内面に向かって第1の距離で延びるシール部材を含み、前記システムは、前記プランジャヘッドから前記貯蔵容器の内側表面に向かって延びる複数の突出部であって、前記プランジャヘッドが前記貯蔵容器内で前記軸方向に移動するときに、前記貯蔵容器に対して前記プランジャヘッドを安定させる複数の突出部を更に含み、前記突出部は、それぞれ、前記第1距離よりも小さい第2距離だけ、前記プランジャヘッドから外側に向かって延びる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2距離は前記第1距離の約2分の1である、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の突出部は、第1の複数の突出部を含み、前記第1の複数の突出部は、互いに間隔を空けて設けられ、かつ、前記プランジャヘッドの前記第1部位において当該第1部位の周方向に配列される、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の突出部は、第2の複数の突出部を含み、前記第2の複数の突出部は、互いに間隔を空けて設けられ、かつ、前記プランジャヘッドの前記第2部位において当該第2部位の周方向に配列される、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 前記プランジャヘッドは、当該プランジャヘッドが前記貯蔵容器内に存在するときに、前記貯蔵容器の前記軸方向に沿って位置する軸を有し、前記第2の複数の突出部は、前記プランジャヘッドの軸を中心として、前記第1の複数の突出部からオフセットされる、請求項17に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも一つのシール部材は、前記プランジャヘッドの前記第1部位と前記第3部位の間の第1の溝に配置される第1シール部材と、前記プランジャヘッドの前記第2部位と前記第3部位の間の第2の溝に配置される第2シール部材と、を含む、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の突出部は、互いに間隔を空けて設けられる第1の複数の突出部であって、前記プランジャヘッドの第1部位において当該第1部位の周方向に配列される第1の複数の突出部と、互いに間隔を空けて設けられる第2の複数の突出部であって、前記プランジャヘッドの第2部位において当該第2部位の周方向に配列される第2の複数の突出部と、を含む、請求項19に記載のシステム。
- 流体薬剤を送達するシステムの作製方法であって、
流体薬剤を収容する内部容積を持つ貯蔵容器内で軸方向に移動可能なプランジャヘッドと、前記貯蔵容器と前記プランジャヘッドの間に配置される少なくとも一つのシール部材と、を設けることを含み、
前記プランジャヘッドは、流体薬剤が前記貯蔵容器の内部容積内に存在するときに流体薬剤と接触し、前記貯蔵容器の内部容積内の流体薬剤に適合する第1材料を含む第1外径の第1部位と、前記第1部位の、前記貯蔵容器の内部容積と反対側に配置され、プランジャアームに接続可能で前記第1材料とは異なる第2材料を含む第2外径の第2部位と、前記第1部位と前記第2部位の間に配置され、前記第1外径及び前記第2外径よりも小さい第3外径を有し、前記第1部位と前記第2部位とを共に連結する第3部位と、を含み、前記第1部位、第2部位、及び第3部位の少なくとも一つは、環状オレフィン共重合体及び環状オレフィン重合体の一方を含む材料で作製され、
前記少なくとも一つのシール部材は、前記プランジャヘッドの前記第3部位に配置される、方法。 - 少なくとも前記プランジャヘッドと前記貯蔵容器の間で、前記貯蔵容器の内面に潤滑剤を設け、
前記貯蔵容器の内面上の前記潤滑剤にプラズマ処理を施す、請求項21に記載の方法。 - 前記貯蔵容器の内面は、環状オレフィン共重合体及び環状オレフィン重合体の一方を含む材料で作製される、請求項21または22に記載の方法。
- 前記貯蔵容器は、環状オレフィン共重合体及び環状オレフィン重合体の一方を含む材料で作製される、請求項21または22に記載の方法。
- 前記潤滑剤は、シリコンを含まない潤滑剤を含む、請求項22に記載の方法。
