図7Aおよび図7Bは、検証例1の前提条件を示す図(その1)および(その2)である。まず、検証例1では、図7Aに示すボス部21bの存在しない冷却ジャケット21’(以下、「ボス無し」と記載する)と、図7Bに示すボス部21bの存在する冷却ジャケット21(以下、「ボス有り」と記載する)とで、冷却水の流量を10L/minおよび20L/minとした場合のそれぞれの圧力損失を比較した。
つづいて、図8A〜図8Dは、検証例2の前提条件を示す図(その1)〜(その4)である。なお、図8A〜図8Dは、図2Bの拡大模式図をさらに簡略化したものである。検証例2では、ボス部21bの突出長さhbおよび放熱フィン21cの突出長さhfの組み合わせをそれぞれ異ならせた「条件0」〜「条件3」の下での、それぞれの冷却効率を検証した。

- 冷却ジャケットと、
電力用半導体素子を含むパワーモジュールと
を備え、
前記冷却ジャケットは、
前記パワーモジュールが取り付けられる取り付け面と、
前記パワーモジュール中央部の貫通孔を貫く締結部材を固定するための孔部を有し、前記取り付け面裏側に突出させて設けられるボス部と、
前記取り付け面裏側の前記ボス部を除く領域に所定方向に沿って配設される複数の放熱フィンと、
前記ボス部および前記放熱フィンそれぞれの先端との間に所定の隙間を空けつつ取り付けられるカバーと
を備えることを特徴とするインバータ装置。 - 前記冷却ジャケットは、
該冷却ジャケットの外形を形成する面の前記所定方向において対向する面のうち、一方に冷却媒体の給水口を、他方に冷却媒体の排水口を有しており、
前記給水口および前記排水口は、
それぞれ互い違いとなる位置に配置されること
を特徴とする請求項1に記載のインバータ装置。 - 前記ボス部は、
該ボス部の突出長さが前記放熱フィンの突出長さ以上となるように設けられること
を特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のインバータ装置。
