Claims (19)
- ステントの大部分に沿って、らせん状に巻かれて円筒形とされた単一のワイヤを備え、
前記ワイヤは、一連の角度が付けられたストラットと、周囲で隣接する角度が付けられたストラットを接続する曲げ部分によって形成され、
前記らせん状に巻かれて円筒形とされた前記ワイヤの前記角度が付けられたストラットのそれぞれが、等しい長さを有し、
周囲方向で隣接する曲げ部分が、前記らせん状に巻かれて円筒形とされた前記ワイヤの、前記ステントの軸の横断面に対するピッチ角を画定し、
前記曲げ部分と前記角度が付けられたストラットとが、前記曲げ部分を通って周囲で隣接する角度が付けられたストラットの間を伸びている二等分線を画定し、前記二等分線が前記らせん状に巻かれて円筒形とされたワイヤの長手方向軸に対して約5度から約20度の角度を有しており、
長手方向で隣接する前記曲げ部分が互いに前記周囲方向でずれて入れ子になっている、ステント。 - 前記ワイヤは弾性があり、それによって、前記ステントが自己拡張型である、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記二等分線が前記長手方向軸に対して、約5度から約15度の角度を有している、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記二等分線が前記長手方向軸に対して、約10度の角度を有している、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記ピッチ角が約5度から約20度である、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記ピッチ角が約10度である、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記ワイヤが円形の断面を有する、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記らせん状に巻かれて円筒形とされたワイヤは、弛緩状態にある、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記ワイヤが、放射線不透過性のコアを有する延伸充填チューブワイヤからなる、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記延伸充填チューブワイヤが、更に、前記放射線不透過性のコアを囲んでいるニチノールのチューブを有する、請求項9に記載のステント。
- 前記らせん状に巻かれて円筒形とされたワイヤに着けられたグラフトを更に備える、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記二等分線が概ね前記ピッチ角に等しい角度とされ、前記ワイヤが弾性があり、それ故、前記ステントが自己拡張型であり、前記ワイヤが円形の断面を有し、そして、前記らせん状に巻かれて円筒形とされた前記ワイヤが弛緩状態とされた前記ワイヤからなる、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記二等分線が前記長手方向軸に対して、約5度から約15度の角度を有する、請求項12に記載のステント。
- 前記ワイヤが、放射線不透過性コアと前記放射線不透過性コアを囲むニチノールのチューブを有する延伸充填チューブワイヤからなる、請求項13に記載のステント。
- 前記らせん状に巻かれて円筒形とされたワイヤに着けられたグラフトを更に備える、請求項14に記載のステント。
- 前記二等分線が、前記長手方向軸に対して約10度の角度を有し、前記ピッチ角が約10度である、請求項13に記載のステント。
- 前記らせん状に巻かれて円筒形とされたワイヤに着けられたグラフトを更に備える、請求項16に記載のステント。
- 前記ワイヤが、放射線不透過性コアと前記放射線不透過性コアを囲んでいるニチノールのチューブを有する延伸充填チューブワイヤを備える、請求項17に記載のステント。
- ステントを製造する方法であって、
円形の断面を有するマンドレルの周囲にらせん状に単一のワイヤを巻き、該ワイヤを前記ステントの大部分に沿って円筒形とするすることを含み、
前記マンドレルは、半径方向に伸びる一連のピンを備え、そのピンの周囲に前記ワイヤをかけて曲げ、前記ワイヤを、一連の角度を付けられたストラットと、周囲方向で隣接する角度が付けられたストラットを接続する曲げ部分とを一続きに有するようにし、
前記らせん状に巻かれて円柱形とされたワイヤの前記角度が付けられたストラットの各々が等しい長さであり、
周囲方向で隣接する曲げ部分が前記らせん状に巻かれて円筒形とされたワイヤの、前記ステントの軸の横断面に対するピッチ角を画定し、
前記曲げ部分と前記角度が付けられたストラットは、前記曲げ部分を通って、周囲方向で隣接した角度が付けられたストラットの間を伸びる二等分線を画定し、前記二等分線が、前記らせん状に巻かれて円筒形とされたワイヤを通って伸びる長手方向軸に関して、約5度から約20度の角度をなし、長手方向で隣接する前記曲げ部分が互いに前記周囲方向でずれて入れ子になるようにされた、ステントを製造する方法。
