Description
Claims (5)
- 液晶表示パネルが複数形成された第1の領域と、前記第1の領域を囲み前記液晶表示パネルが形成されていない第2の領域を有し、マザーTFT基板とマザー対向基板からなるマザー基板であって、
前記液晶表示パネル内の表示領域において、TFT基板と対向基板の間隔は第1の柱状スペーサと前記第1の柱状スペーサの先端と接する第1の台座によって規定され、
前記第2の領域には、前記第1の領域に形成された複数の液晶表示パネルを共通に囲むように複数の第2の柱状スペーサが形成され、かつ、前記第1の領域および前記複数の前記第2の柱状スペーサを囲むようにマザー基板シール材が形成され、
前記マザー対向基板と前記マザーTFT基板の前記第2の領域における間隔は前記第2の柱状スペーサと前記第2の柱状スペーサの先端と接する第2の台座によって規定され、
前記第1の台座と前記第2の台座は同じ層構造を有しており、
前記第2の台座における導電膜はフロートであり、
前記マザー基板シール材の内部は気密に保たれていることを特徴とするマザー基板。 - 前記第1の柱状スペーサは第1の台座の上に形成され、前記第2の柱状スペーサは第2の台座の上に形成され、前記第1の台座と前記第2の台座は同じ層構造を有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のマザー基板。
- 前記第2の台座は島状に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のマザー基板。
- 前記第2の台座は島状に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のマザー基板。
- 前記第1の台座と前記第2の台座は前記マザーTFT基板側に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに1項に記載のマザー基板。
