(燃料噴射弁)5、燃焼室4から排ガスGaを排出する排気弁装置6、及び燃焼室4へ空気Aiを供給する吸気弁装置7を備える。
センサ24、DPF温度センサ25aと25b、及びDPF差圧センサ26aと26bを備える。このクランク角センサ23で検知されたクランク角とカム角センサ24で検知されたカム角を用いて、ECU12が、インジェクタ5の噴射タイミングや、排気バルブ6aの開弁タイミングを調節している。エンジン10にはその他にも各種センサが設けられているが、実施の形態の説明では省略する。

Claims (7)
- 排ガスの後処理装置と、排気弁の開弁時期を自在に変化できる可変弁機構を備える内燃機関において、
前記後処理装置を再生するときに、
前記可変弁機構が、前記排気弁を排気行程で開閉する前に、膨張行程の後燃え期間の範囲内で開弁し、その膨張行程の下死点前で閉弁する膨張行程の開弁期間により、気筒内へ噴射された燃料の燃焼による排ガスを前記後処理装置へと供給することにより、前記後処理装置を昇温する手段を備えると共に、
前記昇温する手段での前記開弁期間に合わせて、気筒内の燃料噴射弁のアフター噴射、又は、排気路に設けた添加弁の前記アフター噴射と同じタイミングの噴射の少なくともどちらか一方により前記後処理装置に未燃燃料成分を供給して酸化させる手段を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関。 - 膨張行程における前記排気弁の開弁のタイミングが、膨張行程の早期で、且つ前記後燃え期間の範囲内である20°ATDC〜50°ATDCに設定され、前記排気弁の閉弁のタイミングを下死点より前の50°ATDC〜90°ATDCに設定されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記昇温する手段での前記排気弁の開弁のタイミングから閉弁のタイミングまでの間の範囲内に、前記燃料噴射弁の追加噴射を開始するタイミングと終了するタイミング、又は前記添加弁の噴射を開始するタイミングと終了するタイミングが設定されることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関。
- 多気筒内燃機関の何れか1つの気筒の排気ポートに前記添加弁を備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記後処理装置に尿素SCR触媒を含むと共に、膨張行程における前記排気弁の開弁のタイミングから閉弁のタイミングまでの間の範囲内に尿素水を噴射する尿素添加弁を排気ポートに備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記昇温する手段により前記後燃え期間の範囲内で前記排気弁の開弁する同一サイクル
内で、
前記昇温する手段による前記後燃え期間の範囲内での前記排気弁の開弁前に、前記排気弁を一旦開弁することで低下するトルクを補うように、前記燃料噴射弁の主噴射量を増加させる手段を備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関。 - 排ガスの後処理装置を備える内燃機関の制御方法において、
前記後処理装置を再生するときに、
前記排気弁を排気行程で開閉する前に、膨張行程の後燃え期間の範囲内で開弁し、その膨張行程の下死点前で閉弁する膨張行程の開弁期間により、気筒内へ噴射された燃料の燃焼による排ガスを前記後処理装置へと供給し、
前記開弁期間に合わせて、気筒内の燃料噴射弁のアフター噴射により、又は、排気路に設けた添加弁の前記アフター噴射と同じタイミングの噴射により、前記後処理装置に未燃燃料成分を供給して酸化することを特徴とする内燃機関の制御方法。
