Claims (7)
- レプリカされた仮想マシンのレプリカされた仮想ストレージであり、レプリカされるべきプライマリーベース仮想ディスクに実質的に対応している少なくとも一つのレプリカされたベース仮想ディスクを含んでいる、仮想ストレージと;
複数のコピータイプの差分ディスクの複数のコピーを受け取るように構成された受信器であり、
それぞれの差分ディスクは、ツリー構造において前記差分ディスク以前に作成されたそれぞれの親ディスクにリンクされており、
前記それぞれの親ディスクは、親の差分ディスクまたは前記プライマリーベース仮想ディスクであり、
前記複数のコピータイプのうち第1のコピータイプは、稼働しているシステムのストレージの一般的なスナップショットであるクラッシュコンシスタントコピーを含み、かつ、前記複数のコピータイプのうち第2のコピータイプは、コピーが作られると前記システムにおけるソフトウェアに通知することに応じて作成された前記稼働しているシステムのストレージのスナップショットであるアプリケーションコンシスタントコピーを含む、
受信器と;
前記差分ディスクが前記プライマリーベース仮想ディスクに関して配置されていたように、受け取った前記複数のコピータイプの前記差分ディスクのコピーを前記レプリカされたベース仮想ディスクに関して配置するように構成されたレプリケーション管理モジュールと、を有する、
ことを特徴とする装置。 - 前記レプリケーション管理モジュールは、さらに、
前記レプリカされた仮想マシンのオペレーションを開始するための潜在的な復元ポイントとして、一つまたはそれ以上の前記受け取った差分ディスクのコピーを保管するように構成されている、
請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記装置は、さらに、
開始のときに前記レプリカされた仮想マシンに対する変更を保管するために、前記差分ディスクの前記保管されたコピーの一つに対する子のディスクとして、読み出し/書き込み差分ディスクを作成すること、を含む、
請求項2に記載の装置。 - 前記レプリケーション管理モジュールは、さらに、
前記潜在的な復元ポイントのうち選択された一つ、および、選択された復元ポイントを連続して引き継ぐ差分ディスクの保管されたコピーのうち一つまたはそれ以上の選択されたもの、からの前記レプリカされた仮想マシンの開始を促進するように構成されている、
請求項2に記載の装置。 - コンピューターで実施される方法であって、
複数のコピータイプの差分ディスクの複数のコピーを受け取るステップ、を含み、
それぞれの差分ディスクは、ツリー構造において前記差分ディスク以前に作成されたそれぞれの親ディスクにリンクされており、
前記それぞれの親ディスクは、親の差分ディスクまたはプライマリーベース仮想ディスクであり、
前記複数のコピータイプのうち第1のコピータイプは、稼働しているシステムのストレージの一般的なスナップショットであるクラッシュコンシスタントコピーを含み、かつ、前記複数のコピータイプのうち第2のコピータイプは、コピーが作られると前記システムにおけるソフトウェアに通知することに応じて作成された前記稼働しているシステムのストレージのスナップショットであるアプリケーションコンシスタントコピーを含む、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記方法は、さらに、
ソフトウェアへの通知に応じた一つまたはそれ以上の通知されたアプリケーションから、ソフトウェアデータを獲得するステップを有する、
請求項5に記載の方法。 - 請求項5または6に記載の方法をコンピューターシステムにより実行させるように構成された複数のインストラクションを含む、コンピュータープログラム。
