Description
The present invention relates to a yarn binding bookbinding apparatus that creates a booklet having traditional decoration and excellent durability by applying a Japanese binding method.
Conventionally, there are two types of bookbinding: bookbinding for relatively inexpensive paperbacks and new books, and bookbinding for expensive commemorative magazines and albums. Of these, upper bookbinding is generally intended for long-term storage, so a strong and beautiful binding is desired. A cardboard is used for the cover, a cloth or cloth is pasted thereon, and the body is bound by a technique such as simple binding or thread binding, thereby exhibiting high strength and tear resistance.
Wireless binding is a general binding method, and it is a manufacturing method in which all the backs of signatures etc. are joined together with an adhesive without using binding materials such as wire and thread, and further joined to the cover. If the adhesive medium is inserted, the opening of the book will worsen, and if you try to open it forcibly, there is a risk of back cracking or dropping of the text.
On the other hand, thread binding is a technique of binding by making a hole in a collated signature and binding it with a thread, and is a preferable binding method for upper bookbinding because it has high strength.
For example, Patent Document 1 (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2011-79146) discloses a process of collating a plurality of upper bookbinding sheets to form a text, and a plurality of texts penetrating the text along the back edge of the text. There has been proposed a method of manufacturing an upper bound book having a step of drilling a thread hole and a step of writing a stroke so as to sew the thread hole and inserting a binding thread into the thread hole to form a body.
Patent Document 2 (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-74686) discloses a paper binding device that manufactures booklets such as flat-stitched books and saddle-stitched books. Describes a yarn binding apparatus that performs yarn binding while reciprocating the yarn binding sewing machine. In Patent Document 3 (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-341460), when finishing a signature with a thread connected, a looper that entangles the looper thread around the loop part of the needle thread carried by the needle, and a puller pulled out from the tip of the looper. A bookbinding sewing machine having a spreader for extending the looper yarn in a direction transverse to the conveying direction of the signature is described.
However, in the yarn binding apparatus to which the conventional yarn binding method is applied, the interval between adjacent yarn binding holes is short, the frictional force of the yarn inserted through the yarn binding hole becomes excessive, and the looseness of the yarn is adjusted. Since the movement of the thread binding sewing machine needle is restricted, there has been a problem that it is difficult to finish the book with a traditional texture with a handmade feeling using a relatively thick and decorative binding thread. In particular, in the bookbinding sewing machine disclosed in Patent Document 1, the movement of the upper thread that is stabbed into the booklet and the movement of the looper thread that is the lower thread must be controlled at the same time. There was also a problem of increasing the cost.
The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-described conventional problems, and mechanically realizes a yarn binding operation like a craftsman's handicraft, and can easily adjust the yarn tension and the like, and is a robust and traditional binding. It is an object of the present invention to provide a yarn binding bookbinding apparatus that can efficiently manufacture a booklet.

Next, a method for manufacturing a booklet using the yarn binding apparatus 10 will be described.
The present invention provides a bookbinding method that is cheaper and more homogenous than a booklet manufactured by a conventional yarn binding process by mechanizing part or all of the yarn binding process to which a Japanese binding method is applied. it can.
First, the booklet S collated with a plurality of bookbinding sheets is placed on the booklet transport table 12. The bookbinding paper is preferably a high-quality paper excellent in water resistance and abrasion resistance, but the paper type is not limited here.
As shown in FIG. 5, a plurality of drills 17 a of the drilling machine 17 are penetrated along the back edge (ST) of the booklet S placed on the booklet transport table 12 (four places in FIG. 5). The thread binding hole A is drilled.
The formation positions and intervals of the yarn binding holes A are appropriately determined in consideration of making it easy to see texts and pictures printed near the binding portion side of the page paper that is spread when the booklet is spread.
Next, the yarn binding process of inserting the binding thread T into the yarn binding hole A formed in the booklet S using the yarn binding apparatus 10 will be described.
In the yarn binding step, the binding thread T is inserted into a plurality of yarn binding holes A formed through the front and back surfaces of the booklet S so as to sew in a zigzag manner from the front side to the back side and from the back side to the front side. Bind the thread.
Thus, by passing the binding thread T through the thread binding hole A formed in the back side edge ST of the booklet S like a Japanese binding, decorativeness and durability of traditional texture, spreadability It can be finished into a booklet with excellent quality.
Here, FIG. 10 is an explanatory view of a conventional manual binding operation, in which a plurality of yarn binding holes A are formed in the booklet S before binding using a hole opening jig, and the booklet S is placed on a table. Set so that the short side and the long side are aligned (FIGS. 10A and 10B).
Next, the operation of sequentially inserting the binding thread T into the thread binding hole A of the aligned booklet S is repeated (FIG. 10C).
In this way, by binding the final ends of the binding thread T, the booklet that has been bound is completed.
Next, the yarn binding process using the yarn binding apparatus 10 of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the operation explanatory diagram of the chuck rotating unit of FIG.
The yarn binding apparatus 10 according to the present invention mechanically executes part or all of the conventional Japanese binding operation described in FIG. That is, in the yarn binding step using the yarn binding apparatus 10 of the present invention, first, a booklet transport table on which a booklet S having a yarn binding hole A formed along the back side edge ST is placed. 12 is moved horizontally and positioned so that the yarn binding hole A through which the yarn is first passed is directly below the yarn binding needle 20 (FIG. 6A). For example, it is programmed in advance how many mm the position of the thread binding hole A through which the thread passes first is from the left side (in the drawing) of the booklet S.
In other words, the number of yarn binding holes, positions, hole diameters, etc. are taught in data for drilling, and the taught yarn binding holes are sequentially passed through the yarn. At this time, the yarn binding needle 20 is held at two upper and lower portions by the first needle chuck 15 and the second needle chuck 16 provided at predetermined intervals.
Next, as shown in FIG. 6B (the following (b) to (g) are side views similar to (a)), the needle gripping of the second needle chuck 16 on the side close to the booklet S is performed. The state is released and retracted (retracted) so as to be drawn toward the chuck rotating unit 14. That is, the position where the second needle chuck 16 does not interfere with the booklet S during the downward vertical movement operation of the chuck rotating unit 14 (operation for passing the tip end side of the yarn binding needle 20 through the booklet S: (c)). , The tip of the yarn binding needle 20 held by the chuck rotating unit 14 is inserted into the yarn binding hole A of the booklet S by lowering the lifting platform 13b of the lifting support mechanism 13. Stop at an approximately intermediate position (FIG. 6C).
Subsequently, as shown in FIG. 6 (d), the second needle chuck 16 in the retracted position is advanced outward (to the left in the drawing) to grip the lower portion of the yarn binding needle 20.
Next, the needle gripping of the first needle chuck 15 positioned on the front side (upper side in FIG. 6) is maintained while the second needle chuck 16 positioned on the back side (lower side in FIG. 6) of the booklet S is maintained in the needle gripping state. The state is released and retracted to the retracted position (retracted) (rightward in FIG. 6 (e)).
Then, the yarn binding needle 20 whose lower portion is gripped by the second needle chuck 16 is further vertically moved downward so as to be pulled out from the yarn binding hole A (FIG. 6 (f1)) .
Thereafter, on the back side of the booklet S, the first needle chuck 15 in the retracted position is advanced, and is pulled out from the thread binding hole A and the binding thread T is passed through the thread hole 21 at the needle proximal end. The upper part of the needle 20 is gripped (FIG. 6 (f2)).
Then, an operation is performed to reverse the top and bottom of the yarn binding needle 20 that is pulled out from the yarn binding hole A and passed through the yarn hole 21 at the needle base end. That is, the chuck rotating unit 14 is rotated 180 degrees .
At the same time, the booklet transport table 12 is moved horizontally to position the thread binding hole A ′ to be inserted next directly below the front end of the thread binding needle 20 (FIG. 6G).
The needle standby position in FIG. 6G is in a state where the top and bottom of the yarn binding needle 20 are inverted with respect to the state in FIG.
The process after FIG.6 (g) becomes an operation | movement which repeats the process similar to the yarn binding process from Fig.6 (a) from a back side (lower side).
As described above, by repeating the yarn binding process shown in FIGS. 6A to 6G, a Japanese-binding booklet can be manufactured. That is, the booklet binding process is executed by repeating the vertical movement and rotation of the chuck rotating unit 14.
7 to 9 illustrate the relationship between the vertical movement and rotation of the chuck rotating unit 14 and the horizontal transfer operation of the booklet transport table 12 in the yarn binding process described with reference to FIG. FIG. 7 is an explanatory diagram, and a series of yarn binding steps (numerals 1 to 33 shown in the upper part of the drawing) will be described with reference to FIGS.
As shown in the drawing, the base end of the binding thread T is locked to the body portion of the chuck rotating unit 14, and the looseness and entanglement of the binding thread T are adjusted according to the looseness state of the binding thread T and the like.
For example, the looseness or entanglement of the binding thread T may be adjusted by appropriately rotating the chuck rotation unit 14.
7 to 9, the booklet transport table 12 is moved horizontally, the lifting support mechanism 13 is moved up and down, the chuck rotating unit 14 is rotated, the first needle chuck 15 and the The needle gripping operation and advance / retreat operation of the two-needle chuck 16 can be program-controlled by the control unit 18.
If necessary, a part or all of them can be performed stepwise by manual operation with an operator.
As shown in FIGS. 7 to 9, the first needle chuck 15 and the second needle chuck 16 that hold the yarn binding needle 20 are located between the front side and the back side of the booklet S placed on the booklet transport table 12.
