Claims (3)
- 前面板および基板がそれぞれスペーサ部材を介して封着接合される真空容器と、この真空容器内の前記基板上に設けられた陽極および蛍光体層と、この蛍光体層の上方で前記前面板側に架設されたフィラメント状陰極と、前記フィラメント状陰極を張り渡す張架部が形成された一対のフレームと、該フレームに支持されるゲッターと、前記蛍光体層と前記フィラメント状陰極との間に配置されたグリッドとを備えてなる蛍光表示装置であって、
前記一対のフレームは、前記前面板に沿って配置され、その一部が前記前面板と前記スペーサ部材との間に挟持されて固定されており、
前記一対のフレームの少なくとも一方が、該フレームの前記基板側で前記ゲッターを支持するゲッター支持部を有し、該ゲッター支持部により、前記ゲッターが該フレームと前記フィラメント状陰極との間に潜り込んだ状態で支持されていることを特徴とする蛍光表示装置。 - 前記ゲッター支持部は、前記フレームと一体に形成された突状部を、前記基板側に略垂直に折り曲げた後、該垂直部分の高さが前記フレームと前記フィラメント状陰極との中間位置となる高さで、さらに前記フレーム側に略垂直に折り曲げて構成され、その先端部で前記ゲッターを支持することを特徴とする請求項1記載の蛍光表示装置。
- 請求項1または請求項2記載の蛍光表示装置の製造方法であって、
前記ゲッターを前記フィラメント状陰極に干渉しない位置で前記ゲッター支持部に固着した後に、前記ゲッター支持部を変形させて前記ゲッターを前記フレームと前記フィラメント状陰極との間に潜り込ませて配置することを特徴とする蛍光表示装置の製造方法。
