Description

Claims (15)
- 粉砕プロセスまたはミリングプロセスにおいて密度に基づき、同一粒子サイズの一次鉱物を含む粒子状物質を分離する分離装置であって、
ハウジングと、
少なくとも一つのサイズ分離スクリーンを有し、前記粒子状物質が前記ハウジング内に侵入するように構成された粒子入口と、
流体が前記ハウジングの下部内に侵入して流体と粒子状物質がともに流動化ベッドを形成するように構成された流体入口と、
前記ハウジングの下部から第1の所定の密度の粒子状物質が退出するように構成された第1出口と、
前記ハウジングの上部から、前記第1の所定の密度よりも小さい第2の所定の密度の粒子状物質が退出するように構成された第2出口と、
を備え、
前記ハウジングは、スクリーンを通って流れる流体の分配を助けるように構成された少なくとも一つの分配スクリーンを有することを特徴とする分離装置。 - 前記流体入口により、十分な流速の流体を前記ハウジングに進入させると粒子状物質が流動化されるが、流速が不十分であると個々の粒子が流体内に浮遊することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の分離装置。
- 前記ハウジングは複数の前記分配スクリーンを有することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の分離装置。
- 前記分配スクリーンのうち少なくとも一つは、前記粒子状物質を通過させるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の分離装置。
- 前記ハウジングが区分されていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の分離装置。
- 複数の流体入口を備えることを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の分離装置。
- 前記流体入口は、前記ハウジングを横切って延びる多孔板の下方に位置することを特徴とする請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の分離装置。
- 前記粒子状物質が除去されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし7のいずれかに記載の分離装置。
- 前記粒子状物質が石炭であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし8のいずれかに記載の分離装置。
- 前記粒子状物質が炭酸カルシウムであることを特徴とする請求項1ないし9のいずれかに記載の分離装置。
- 粒子状物質を分離するマルチステージ分離デバイスであって、
請求項1ないし10のいずれかに記載の少なくとも二つの前記分離装置を備え、
第1分離装置の前記出口は、第2分離装置の前記粒子入口に粒子状物質を供給するように構成されることを特徴とするマルチステージ分離デバイス。 - 請求項1ないし11のいずれかに記載の装置またはデバイスを備える垂直スピンドルミル。
- 分離装置を使用する粉砕デバイスまたはミリングデバイスにおいて同一粒子サイズの粒子状物質を分離する方法であって、
前記分離装置は、
ハウジングと、
前記ハウジング内に前記粒子状物質が侵入するように構成され、少なくとも一つのサイズ分離スクリーンを有する粒子入口と、
前記ハウジング内に流体が侵入するように構成された流体入口と、
前記ハウジングの下部から所定の密度の粒子状物質が退出するように構成された第1出口と、
を備え、
前記ハウジングは、スクリーンを通って流れる流体の分配を助けるように構成された少なくとも一つの分配スクリーンを有することを特徴とし、
前記粒子入口を通して前記ハウジング内に粒子状物質を侵入させるステップと、
前記流体入口を通して前記ハウジングの下部内に前記流体を侵入させ、流体と粒子状物質がともに流動化ベッドを形成するステップと、
前記第1出口を通して前記ハウジングの下部から第1の所定の密度の粒子状物質を退出させるステップと、
を含む方法。 - 十分な流速の流体が進入すると粒子状物質が流動化されるが、流速が不十分であると個々の粒子が流体内に浮遊することを特徴とする請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記分離装置は第2出口を備え、
前記第2出口を通して前記ハウジングの上部から前記第1の所定の密度より低い第2の所定の密度の粒子状物質を退出させるステップを含む請求項13または14に記載の方法。
