Claims (24)
- 体内管内に導入するため、及び前記体内管を間歇的に閉塞させるためのバルーン・カテーテルであって、遠位端部分に膨張可能バルーン(122)を担持するカテーテル・シャフト(155)と、前記カテーテル・シャフト(155)を通して延びる複数の内腔とを有するバルーン・カテーテルにおいて、
前記カテーテル・シャフト(155)の中心を通して少なくとも1つの遠位開口(127、128)へと延びる圧力センサ内腔(125)が提供され、前記少なくとも1つの遠位開口(127、128)は、前記体内管中の流体と連絡するように前記バルーン(122)の遠位に設けられていること、また
前記カテーテル・シャフト(155)を通して、前記バルーン(122)内の圧力を測定するためのバルーン圧力監視内腔(159)がさらに提供されること、
さらに、前記バルーン(122)を膨張及び収縮させるための膨張内腔(158)が提供されること、及び
前記カテーテルが、前記カテーテル・シャフト(155)に沿って延びる補剛要素(123)を有し、該補剛要素(123)が、前記バルーン(122)の近位端に隣接して位置決めされる遠位端部分(164)であって、該補剛要素(123)の残りの部分に比べて曲げ強さが低い遠位端部分(164)を有すること
を特徴とするバルーン・カテーテル。 - 前記補剛要素が、前記カテーテル・シャフト(155)を取り囲むハイポチューブ(123)を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記補剛要素(123)が、前記バルーン(122)と近位ハブ(132)の間の前記カテーテル・シャフト(155)の部分のほぼ全体にわたって延びていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 曲げ強さが低い前記補剛要素(123)の前記遠位端部分(164)が、30〜120mmの長さにわたって延びていることを特徴とする請求項1、2、又は3に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記ハイポチューブ(123)が、前記曲げ強さに影響を与える少なくとも1つの切欠(163)を有することを特徴とする請求項2、3、又は4に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記切欠(163)が螺旋線状に延び、前記螺旋線が、曲げ強さの低い前記補剛要素(123)の遠位端部分(164)において前記補剛要素(123)の残りの部分よりも小さいピッチを有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 曲げ強さの低い前記補剛要素(123)の前記遠位端部分(164)において、前記螺旋線の前記ピッチが、前記補剛要素(123)の前記遠位端から連続的に増していることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記カテーテルの前記内腔(125、157、158、159)が、互いに異なる断面幾何形状を有することを特徴とする請求項1から7までのいずれか一項に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記膨張内腔(158)が、断面でリング・セグメント形状を有し、前記圧力センサ内腔(125)の半径方向外側に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1から8までのいずれか一項に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記バルーン圧力監視内腔(159)が、断面でリング・セグメント形状であり、前記圧力センサ内腔(125)の半径方向外側に配置されることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 円形又は楕円形内腔(157)が、前記膨張内腔(158)のリング・セグメント形状断面と前記バルーン圧力監視内腔(159)のリング・セグメント形状断面の隣接端部の間に提供されることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記膨張内腔(158)及び前記バルーン圧力監視内腔(159)がそれぞれ、前記カテーテル・シャフト(155)の軸方向にずらされるように配置された少なくとも2つの半径方向開口(160、161)を介して前記バルーン(122)の内部と接続されることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記カテーテルが、前記バルーン(122)の領域に補剛手段(165)を有することを特徴とする請求項1から12までのいずれか一項に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記カテーテル・シャフト(155)の中心を通して延びる前記圧力センサ内腔(125)と流体連絡するカテーテル先端要素(129)をさらに有し、該カテーテル先端要素(129)が、前記体内管内の流体と連絡するために前記バルーン(122)の遠位に位置決めされた複数の遠位ポートを有し、該複数の遠位ポートが、複数の半径方向開口(127)を有し、該開口(127)が、前記カテーテル先端要素(129)の円周面にわたってほぼ均等に分布される請求項1から13までのいずれか一項に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記カテーテル先端要素(129)の遠位開口(128)の遠位縁部が丸み付けされていることを特徴とする請求項14に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記カテーテル先端要素(129)が、前記遠位開口(128)に向けて円錐状にテーパしていることを特徴とする請求項14又は15に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記カテーテル先端要素(129)が可撓性であることを特徴とする請求項14、15、又は16に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記カテーテル先端要素(129)の遠位端と前記バルーン(122)の前記膨張可能部分の遠位端との距離が少なくとも30mmであることを特徴とする請求項14から17までのいずれか一項に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記体内管が冠静脈洞である請求項1から18までのいずれか一項に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記補剛手段が補剛ワイヤ(165)であり、該ワイヤ(165)が、前記バルーン(122)の長さにわたって延びていることを特徴とする請求項13に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記複数の遠位ポートが3つの半径方向開口(127)を有する請求項14に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 曲げ強さが低い前記補剛要素(123)の前記遠位端部分(164)が、40〜90mmの長さにわたって延びていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
- 前記バルーン圧力監視内腔(159)の弧の中心角が、前記リング・セグメント形状の膨張内腔(158)に比べて小さいことを特徴とする請求項10に記載のバルーン・カテーテル。
