Description
本出願は、開示内容が参照により本明細書に組み込まれる、2012年7月20日に出願され、「Fiber Optic Sensor Assembly for Sensor Delivery Device」と題する米国特許出願第61/673,840号明細書に対する優先権を主張する。
Claims (17)
- 患者の血管構造内の流体圧力をモニタリングするセンサ送達デバイスであって、
ガイドワイヤに沿って摺動するサイズである細長い管状シースであって、外面を有するシースと、
センサアセンブリであって、
光ファイバセンサと、
前記センサを包囲するハウジングであって、近位穴を有する近位端部、遠位穴を有する遠位端部、前記シースの前記外面に隣接する内面、および前記内面と反対側の外面を含むハウジングと、
前記センサの前記遠位端部と前記ハウジングの前記遠位穴との間の第1空洞と、
少なくとも前記ハウジングの前記遠位端部から遠位方向に延在する前記ハウジングの前記外面の充填材であって、遠位方向に延びるに従い、前記シースの前記外面に向かって内側に先細りになる外面を有する充填材と、
前記充填材内の第2空洞であって、前記充填材の前記外面の開口部を含み、前記ハウジングの前記遠位穴に隣接する第2空洞と、
を備えるセンサアセンブリと、
前記シースの前記外面に沿って延在し、前記ハウジングの前記近位穴を通過し、遠位端部において前記センサに隣接する光ファイバと、
を具備しており、
前記充填材の上に重なりかつ穴を含む外層をさらに具備し、
前記外層が前記第2空洞を部分的に覆い、前記穴が前記第2空洞の前記開口部の上に重なり、
前記シースの前記外面が、前記第2空洞の底部を形成し、
前記ハウジングの前記遠位端部が、前記第2空洞の近位端部を形成し、
前記充填材が、前記第2空洞の遠位端部および前記第2空洞の対向側面を形成して、
前記外層が、前記第2空洞の頂部を形成している、
センサ送達デバイス。 - 前記外層が、前記センサアセンブリ、前記シースおよび前記光ファイバを囲んでいる、請求項1に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。
- 前記センサが圧力センサを含む、請求項1に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。
- 前記充填材が前記ハウジングのすべてを包囲している、請求項3に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。
- 前記充填材が、前記ハウジングの前記近位端部および前記外面から近位方向に延在し、近位方向に延びるに従って前記シースの前記外面に向かって内側に先細りになっている、請求項4に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。
- 前記第2空洞の近位端部から遠位端部までの長さが、前記外層の前記穴の近位端部から遠位端部までの前記外層の前記穴の長さより大きい、請求項1に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。
- 前記外層の前記穴が、面積が、約0.05mm2〜約0.5mm2である、請求項6に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。
- 前記第2空洞が、容積が、約0.04mm3〜約0.12mm3である、請求項7に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。
- 前記シースが遠位スリーブを備え、
前記センサ送達デバイスが、前記遠位スリーブに隣接する近位部分をさらに具備し、前記光ファイバが前記近位部分内に延在し、前記近位部分が、前記ガイドワイヤとは別個であるように構成されている、
請求項1に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。 - 前記充填材の前記開口部が、前記ハウジングの前記遠位穴に対して傾いており、かつ、前記シースの前記長手方向軸に対して傾いている、請求項1に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。
- 患者の血管構造内の流体圧力をモニタリングするセンサ送達デバイスであって、
ガイドワイヤに沿って摺動するサイズである細長い管状シースであって、外面を有するシースと、
センサアセンブリであって、
光ファイバセンサと、
前記センサを包囲するハウジングであって、近位穴を有する近位端部、遠位穴を有する遠位端部、前記シースの前記外面に隣接する内面、および前記内面と反対側の外面を含むハウジングと、
前記センサの前記遠位端部と前記ハウジングの前記遠位穴との間の第1空洞と、
少なくとも前記ハウジングの前記遠位端部から遠位方向に延在する前記ハウジングの前記外面の充填材であって、遠位方向に延びるに従い、前記シースの前記外面に向かって内側に先細りになる外面を有する充填材と、
充填材内の第2空洞であって、前記充填材の前記外面の開口部を含み、前記ハウジングの前記遠位穴に隣接する第2空洞と、
を備えるセンサアセンブリと、
前記シースの前記外面に沿って延在する光ファイバと、
前記センサアセンブリ、前記シースおよび前記光ファイバを囲み、かつ穴を備える外層であって、前記第2空洞を部分的に覆い、前記穴が前記第2空洞の前記開口部の上に重なる、外層と、
を具備し、
前記外層の前記穴が、前記ハウジングの前記遠位穴に対して傾いており、かつ前記シースの前記長手方向軸に対して傾いている、
センサ送達デバイス。 - 前記シースの前記外面が、前記第2空洞の底部を形成し、
前記ハウジングの遠位端部が、前記第2空洞の近位端部を形成し、
前記充填材が、前記第2空洞の遠位端部および前記第2空洞の対向側面を形成し、
前記外層が、前記第2空洞の頂部を形成している、
請求項11に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。 - 前記充填材が、前記ハウジングのすべてを包囲し、前記ハウジングの近位端部および前記外面から近位方向に延在し、近位方向に延びるに従って前記シースの前記外面に向かって内側に先細りになっている、
請求項11に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。 - 前記第2空洞の近位端部から遠位端部までの長さが、前記外層の前記穴の近位端部から遠位端部までの前記外層の前記穴の長さより大きい、請求項11に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。
- 前記外層の前記穴が、面積が約0.01mm2〜約1.0mm2である、請求項11に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。
- 前記第2空洞が、容積が約0.01mm3〜約0.25mm3である、請求項15に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。
- 前記シースが遠位スリーブを備え、
前記センサ送達デバイスが、前記遠位スリーブに隣接する近位部分をさらに具備し、
前記光ファイバが前記近位部分内に延在し、前記近位部分が、前記ガイドワイヤから別個であるように構成されている、
請求項11に記載のセンサ送達デバイス。
