Description
本発明は、金属硫化物触媒(たとえばコロイド状または分子状触媒)を用いるハイドロクラッキング反応器およびハイドロクラッキング反応器の下流にあるコーキング反応器を用いることによって重油原料を改質するための方法およびシステムであって、従来のハイドロクラッキングまたはコーキングの方法およびシステムと比較して、収率および転化率を増大させ、改質された液体炭化水素の品質を改良し、コークの生成を低減した方法およびシステムに関する。1つの実施形態によれば、本方法およびシステムは少なくとも1つのプレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器、少なくとも1つのセパレータ、および少なくとも1つのコーキング反応器を用いる。本発明の水素化処理方法およびシステムは、金属硫化物触媒(たとえばコロイド状または分子状触媒)を単独で、または固体担持触媒と組み合わせて用いることができる。ハイドロクラッキング反応器の下流のコーキングプロセスは、遅延コーキング、流体コーキング、Flexicoking(登録商標)、およびそれらの組み合わせまたは変形を含む残油コーキング等の任意のコーキングプロセスであってよい。
図1は、(a)金属硫化物触媒(たとえばコロイド状または分子状触媒)がその中に分散した、調製された重油原料102を受け入れるように構成され、改質物質106を製造するプレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器104と、(b)プレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器104から取り出された改質物質106がその中に移送されて非揮発性液体炭化水素留分110からガス状および揮発性留分116が分離されるセパレータ108と、(c)サーマルクラッキングによって非揮発性液体炭化水素留分110を改質し、改質された液体炭化水素製品114と石油コーク118とを生成するコーカー112とを含む、本発明による水素化処理システム100を概略的に説明する図である。
本発明による方法には、金属硫化物触媒(たとえばコロイド状または分子状触媒)をその中に分散させるための重油原料を調製する予備ステップが含まれ、その例は図3に方法300として描かれたフローダイアグラムに概略的に示されている。1つの実施形態によれば、ステップ302におけるように、油溶性触媒前駆体組成物は希釈用炭化水素流と予備混合されて希釈された前駆体混合物が生成する。
図7は、従来のハイドロクラッキングまたはサーマルクラッキング改質法と比較した、本発明により重油原料を水素化処理して、増大した量および品質の改質された液体炭化水素製品および低減された量のコークを生成するための例示の方法700を概略的に示すフローダイアグラムである。
上述のように、炭化水素のプロセス流は、コーキング反応器によって処理される前に追加の改質反応を受けてもよい。図8A〜図8Bは、図1に示した構成の変形である本発明による例示的システム構成を概略的に示す。図1のシステムは、スラリー相プレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器902およびホットセパレータ904を含むように実施することができ、その設計および運転は、図9に関連して以下に、より完全に示し、説明する。代替の実施形態においては、少なくとも1つのプレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器は沸騰床ハイドロクラッキング反応器1030を含んでもよく、その設計および運転は、図10に関連して以下に、より完全に示し、説明する。別の実施形態においては、少なくとも1つのプレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器は固定床ハイドロクラッキング反応器1160を含んでもよく、その設計および運転は、図11に関連して以下に、より完全に示し、説明する。
以下の実施例に、金属硫化物触媒(たとえばコロイド状または分子状触媒)を用いるハイドロクラッキング反応器中における石油の常圧または減圧残渣のハイドロクラッキング、およびそれに続く得られた残渣のコーカーによる処理の効果および利点を、従来のハイドロクラッキングプロセスまたは従来のコーキングプロセスと比較して示す試験研究を記載する。
実施例1〜5は、原料として75重量%のコールドレークと25重量%のアサバスカ減圧残渣のブレンドを用いて本発明によって実施した水素化処理プロセスの試験運転である。表1に、個別の減圧残渣および試験運転に用いた75/25ブレンドの特性を示す。

ここでAはコーカー供給液中の水素含量、11.28は得られるコーカー由来液体中の水素含量、3.8は得られるコーク中の水素含量、Lはコーカー由来液体となるコーカー供給液の重量%である。
(実施例6〜9)
実施例6〜9は、上述の実施例と同様にして、ハイドロクラッキング試験は連続流パイロットユニットで行ない、コーキング性能の予測は引用した参考文献の方法を用いて行なった。これらの実施例について、いくつかの異なった原料組成物を試験した。実施例6ではブラックロック常圧残渣を試験した。実施例7および8ではブラックロック減圧残渣を用いた。実施例9ではマーフィー減圧残渣を用いた。これらの供給原料のそれぞれの特性を表4にまとめる。
(実施例10〜13)
実施例10から13は、前の実施例と同様の方法で行なった。この場合には、全ての実施例でKu850°F+減圧残渣を用いた。その特性を表7に示す。

- 重油原料を水素化処理して、改質された液体炭化水素製品の生産を増大させ、コークの生成を低減させる方法であって、
重油原料に油溶性触媒前駆体をブレンドして、重油原料中にコロイドの大きさの活性金属硫化物触媒粒子を形成させることによって、 アスファルテンまたはその他のコーク生成前駆体を含む343℃(650°F)を超える沸点を有する多量の炭化水素と、コロイドの大きさの活性金属硫化物触媒粒子と、で構成される重油原料を調製するステップと、
前記重油原料および水素を、プレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器に導入するステップと、
前記重油原料を、ハイドロクラッキング温度に加熱または維持して前記重油原料から炭化水素フリーラジカルを生成させるステップであって、
前記金属硫化物触媒粒子は、水素と炭化水素フリーラジカルとの改質反応を触媒して改質物質を生成し、
前記改質反応は、アスファルテンまたはその他のコーク生成前駆体の量を低減させ、前記改質物質中の水素/炭素比を増大させ、前記重油原料と比較して前記改質物質中の炭化水素の沸点を低下させる、ステップと、
前記改質物質を、残存金属硫化物触媒粒子および水素とともにセパレータに移送して、液体炭化水素留分からガス状および揮発性留分を分離するステップと、
前記液体炭化水素留分の少なくとも一部を、1または複数のコーキング反応器に導入し、前記液体炭化水素留分のサーマルクラッキングを起こさせて、改質された炭化水素製品およびコークを生成するステップと、

ことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法に従って重油原料を水素化処理してコークおよび改質された炭化水素製品を生成させるための水素化処理システムであって、
343℃を超える沸点を有する多量の炭化水素と、前記原料中に分散したコロイドの大きさの金属硫化物触媒粒子とで構成される重油原料と、
前記重油原料中の高沸点炭化水素の少なくとも一部を低沸点炭化水素に転化し、それにより改質物質を生成させるために、前記重油原料を水素とともにハイドロクラッキング温度に加熱しまたは維持するプレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器であって、
(i)前記重油原料および水素を導入するための前記プレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器底部の入口ポートと、
(ii)前記改質物質、コロイドの大きさの金属硫化物触媒粒子、および水素を取り出すための前記プレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器頂部の出口ポートと、を有するプレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器と、
前記改質物質中の液体炭化水素留分からガス状および揮発性留分を分離するセパレータであって、
(i)前記改質物質を前記セパレータ中に導入するための入口と、
(ii)前記ガス状および揮発性留分を取り出すための第1の出口と、
(iii)前記液体炭化水素留分を取り出すための第2の出口と、
を有するセパレータと、
前記液体炭化水素留分を受け入れて処理するために構成された1または複数のコーキング反応器であって、1または複数の遅延コーキング反応器、流体コーキング反応器、またはFlexicoking(登録商標)反応器を含む、1または複数のコーキング反応器と、を含むことを特徴とする水素化処理システム。 - 前記プレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器の下流に第2のプレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器をさらに含み、前記第2のプレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器は、前記改質物質をさらに改質して、前記セパレータに導入されるさらなる改質物質を生成し、前記第2のハイドロクラッキング反応器は、スラリー相反応器、沸騰床反応器または固定床反応器の少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする請求項19に記載の水素化処理システム。
- 前記セパレータの下流に、第2のプレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器、および前記第2のプレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器の下流に第2のセパレータをさらに含み、
前記第2のプレコーキングハイドロクラッキング反応器は、前記セパレータからの前記液体炭化水素留分を改質して、前記第2のセパレータに導入されるさらなる改質物質を生成し、前記第2のセパレータは、前記さらなる改質物質中の液体炭化水素留分からガス状および揮発性留分を分離する、
ことを特徴とする請求項19に記載の水素化処理システム。
