Description

The present invention relates to a technique for attaching an annular elastic component to a wire harness.

Patent Document 1 discloses a jig for expanding a grommet by moving a plurality of jig bodies formed by equally dividing a cylindrical body in a circumferential direction in a radial direction with respect to its axis.

By the way, a connector cover may be attached to the branch part branched from the trunk part of a wire harness.

The operation of attaching the connector cover to the branch portion using the jig disclosed in Patent Document 1 may include the following steps. That is, a plurality of jig bodies are inserted into the connector cover, and then the connector covers are expanded by moving the plurality of jig bodies in the radial direction. Thereafter, the branch portion is inserted into the connector cover, and the plurality of jig bodies are pulled out from the connector cover.

However, a trunk portion exists on the proximal end side of the branch portion, and a connector exists on the distal end side of the branch portion. For this reason, even if an attempt is made to pull out the plurality of jig bodies from the connector cover after inserting the branch portion into the connector cover, it becomes difficult to perform the pulling operation because the main line portion or the connector becomes an obstacle.

Here, before attaching a connector to the front-end | tip part of a branch part, inserting a branch part in a connector cover, pulling out a jig | tool main body after that, and then attaching a connector to the front-end | tip part of a branch part is considered. However, in that case, in the entire manufacturing process of the wire harness, some connectors have to be retrofitted, so that the manufacturing efficiency is deteriorated.

Then, an object of this invention is to enable it to attach an annular elastic part easily with respect to the branch part etc. of a wire harness.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the first aspect is an expansion jig for expanding the annular elastic component when attaching the annular elastic component to the wire harness, and three or more disposed around a predetermined axis. Each of the three or more expansion members includes an extending portion extending toward one side in the predetermined axial direction, and a base end side portion thereof is centered on the predetermined axis. A base portion movably supported along a radial direction; an intermediate coupling portion extending from the distal end portion of the extending portion toward the predetermined axis; and the predetermined axial direction from the distal end portion of the intermediate coupling portion And an insertion portion extending toward the other side.

A 2nd aspect is an expansion jig | tool of the cyclic | annular elastic component which concerns on a 1st aspect, Comprising: The said intermediate | middle connection part is the said each extension in the state which the insertion part of the said 3 or more expansion member approached most. The length dimension is set to such an extent that the annular elastic component can be disposed inside the portion.

A 3rd aspect is a manufacturing method of the wire harness with an annular elastic part using the expansion jig | tool of the annular elastic part which concerns on a 1st or 2nd aspect, Comprising: (a) It branches from the trunk line part and the said trunk line part A step of preparing a wire harness having a connector attached to an end of the branch portion; and (b) a step of inserting the insertion portions of the three or more expansion members into the annular elastic component. And (c) after the step (b), expanding the annular elastic component by moving the three or more expansion members outward along a radial direction centered on the predetermined axis; (D) after the step (c), the step of inserting the branch portion into the annular elastic part; and (e) after the step (d), the three or more expansion members are attached to the predetermined shaft. A step of shrinking the annular elastic part by moving inwardly along a radial direction centered at the center, and (f) the step ( After e), a step of pulling out the insertion portion with respect to the annular elastic component is provided.

According to the 1st-3rd aspect, an insertion part is provided in the predetermined axis side with respect to the extension part. For this reason, it can be set as the state which inserted the insertion part in the cyclic | annular elastic component in the state which has arrange | positioned the cyclic | annular elastic component inside the extension part. And an insertion part can be extracted to the front end side of a base with respect to a cyclic | annular elastic component. For this reason, when attaching an annular elastic part to the branch part of the wire harness, the main line part and the connector are not easily obstructed, and the annular elastic part can be easily attached to the branch part of the wire harness. .

According to the 2nd aspect, in the state which brought the insertion part of three or more expansion members most closely, it can be set as the state which has arrange | positioned the said cyclic | annular elastic component inside each said extension part. In this state, the insertion portion can be easily pulled out from the annular elastic component.

Hereinafter, the manufacturing method of the expansion jig | tool of the annular elastic component which concerns on embodiment, and the wire harness with an annular elastic component is demonstrated.

<About wire harness with annular elastic parts>
First, a wire harness with an annular elastic part, which is an example of an application target of the extension jig, will be described.

FIG. 1 is a schematic view showing a wire harness 10 with an annular elastic component, and FIG. 2 is a partial schematic perspective view of the wire harness 10 with an annular elastic component.

This wire harness 10 with an annular elastic component includes a wire harness 12 and an elastic connector cover 16 as an annular elastic component.

The wire harness 12 includes a main line portion 13 and branch portions 14 and 14A branched from the main line portion 13. That is, the wire harness 12 is formed by bundling a plurality of electric wires using a binding member such as an adhesive tape, and bundling the plurality of electric wires so as to form the main line portion 13. The portion branches from the main line portion 13 to form branch portions 14 and 14A. Normally, more electric wires are bundled in the trunk portion 13 than in the branch portions 14 and 14A. The branch portions 14 and 14 </ b> A may be formed by bundling a plurality of electric wires or may be configured by a single electric wire.

The main line portion and the branch portion are relatively grasped portions. Therefore, when a certain wire bundle is branched from the thickest part of the wire harness and at least one electric wire is further branched from this electric wire bundle, the certain electric wire bundle is a trunk portion, and at least one branched from there It can also be understood that the electric wire is a branched portion.

A connector 15 is attached to the tip of the branch portions 14 and 14A. And in the state which this wire harness 12 was assembled | attached to the vehicle, the connector 15 is connected to the various electrical components mounted in the vehicle. As a result, various electrical components mounted on the vehicle are electrically connected through the wire harness 12.

An elastic connector cover 16 is attached to at least a part of the branch portions 14 and 14A.

The elastic connector cover 16 is a member formed of an elastic material such as rubber, and includes a cover portion 17 and a cylindrical portion 18.

The cover portion 17 is formed in a rectangular parallelepiped shape that can accommodate the connector 15. The part which becomes the connection end of the connector 15 among the cover parts 17 is opened.

The cylinder part 18 is formed in a cylindrical shape thinner than the cover part 17, and the branch part 14A can be inserted into the inside thereof. Preferably, the inner diameter dimension of the cylindrical portion 18 is set to a size that allows the branch portion 14A to be tightened, that is, equal to or smaller than the outer diameter dimension of the branch portion 14A. Thereby, infiltration of water can be suppressed between the cylinder part 18 and the branch part 14A.

Further, the elastic connector cover 16 is formed in a shape that gradually narrows from the cover portion 17 toward the cylindrical portion 18.

<About expansion jigs for annular elastic parts>
The expansion jig for the annular elastic part will be described. FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing the expansion jig 20 of the annular elastic part.

The expansion jig 20 is a jig for expanding the elastic connector cover 16 so as to widen the hole inside the elastic connector cover 16 when the elastic connector cover 16 is attached to the wire harness 12, and is arranged around a predetermined axis X. Three or more expansion members 22 are provided.

In order to widen the hole inside the elastic connector cover 16, it may be widened radially outward at three points separated in the circumferential direction. For this reason, the expansion member 22 should just be at least three. However, in order to effectively widen the hole inside the elastic connector cover 16, it is preferable to widen it outward in the radial direction at four or more points apart in the circumferential direction. In the present embodiment, an example in which the expansion jig 20 includes four expansion members 22 will be described.

Each expansion member 22 is supported around a predetermined axis X by the expansion drive mechanism 40. The expansion drive mechanism unit 40 supports the expansion member 22 with a space around a predetermined axis X at an equal angle (especially, 90 degrees here). More specifically, the expansion member 22 is provided at a vertical position and a horizontal position with respect to a predetermined axis X. Further, the expansion drive mechanism 40 synchronizes a plurality of (four in this case) expansion members 22 along a radial direction centered on the predetermined axis X with an operation by a step or the like or an operation by an actuator. It includes a moving mechanism such as a link mechanism that moves close and away. Such a moving mechanism itself is a well-known structure by those skilled in the art as a structure employ | adopted as the apparatus used to expand the grommet with which a wire harness is mounted | worn.

The expansion member 22 includes a base portion 24, an intermediate connection portion 28, and an insertion portion 29. Here, the expansion member 22 is a member formed such that an elongated metal member is appropriately bent.

The base portion 24 includes an extending portion 25 that extends toward one side of the predetermined axis X. A base end side portion of the base portion 24 is supported so as to be movable along a radial direction about the axis X.

Here, the base portion 24 includes an extending portion 25 and a fixing portion 26. The extending portion 25 is a rod-shaped portion that extends along the axis X direction. The extending portion 25 may extend toward one side of the axis X while being inclined or bent with respect to the axis X.

The fixed portion 26 is formed in an L-shaped portion that extends from the base end portion of the base portion 24 toward the axis X and extends toward the other side of the shaft X. The fixed end portion 27 of the fixed portion 26 is fixed to the extended drive mechanism portion 40, so that the base end side portion of the base portion 24 moves along a radial direction centered on a predetermined axis X. Supported as possible.

The fixing portion 26 may extend linearly with respect to the extending portion 25. However, the extending portion 25 can be disposed at a position away from the axis X by using the configuration in which the fixing portion 26 bends in an L shape so as to move close to the axis X. Thereby, it becomes easy to utilize the general grommet expansion apparatus which uses a linear bar-shaped member as an expansion member.

The intermediate connecting portion 28 is formed in a bar shape extending from the distal end portion of the extending portion 25 toward the predetermined axis X. Here, the intermediate connecting portion 28 extends along the radial direction centered on the axis X, but may be shaped toward the axis X while being inclined or bent with respect to the radial direction.

In addition, the insertion portion 29 is formed in a rod shape extending from the distal end portion of the intermediate coupling portion 28 toward the other side in the predetermined axis X direction. The insertion portion 29 preferably extends along the axis X, but this is not essential. The length dimension of the insertion portion 29 in the direction along the axis X is smaller than the length dimension of the extending portion 25 in the same direction.

The length dimension of the intermediate connecting portion 28 can form a space in which the elastic connector cover 16 can be disposed inside the plurality of extending portions 25 in a state where the plurality of insertion portions 29 are closest to the axis X. It is set to a size of about. In other words, the extending portion 25 is located on the outer side of the diameter method with the axis X as the center with respect to the inserting portion 29, and the distance of the extending portion 25 from the inserting portion 29 is set to a plurality of extending portions 25. The size of the elastic connector cover 16 is set so that the elastic connector cover 16 can be disposed inside.

Then, with the plurality of expansion members 22 moved closer to the axis X side, the cover portion 17 of the elastic connector cover 16 is disposed inside the plurality of extending portions 25 and at the distal end side of the insertion portion 29. However, a plurality of insertion portions 29 positioned around the axis X can be inserted into the cylindrical portion 18. Further, in this state, by moving the plurality of expansion members 22 away from the axis X, the cylindrical portion 18 can be expanded so as to widen the inner hole.

<Attachment method of annular elastic parts>
A method of manufacturing the wire harness 10 with the annular elastic component by attaching the elastic connector cover to the wire harness 12 using the expansion jig 20 will be described.

First, as shown in FIG. 4, as described above, the wire harness includes the trunk portion 13 and the branch portions 14 and 14A branched from the trunk portion 13, and the connector 15 is attached to the end of the branch portion 14A. 12 is prepared (step (a)).

Then, as shown in FIG. 5, the elastic connector cover 16 is set on the expansion jig 20 at the same time as or before and after the step (a). More specifically, the cover portion 17 of the elastic connector cover 16 is moved to a position approaching the axis X while being disposed at a position on the distal end side of the insertion portion 29 inside the plurality of extending portions 25. The plurality of inserted portions 29 are inserted into the cylindrical portion 18 (step (b)).

Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 6, each expansion member 22 is moved outward along the radial direction centered on the axis X to expand the cylindrical portion 18 of the elastic connector cover 16 (step (c)). ).

Thereafter, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the branch portion 14 </ b> A having the connector 15 attached to the end portion is inserted into the elastic connector cover 16. More specifically, the connector 15 is disposed in the cover portion 17, and the branch portion 14A extending from the connector 15 is disposed in the expanded cylindrical portion 18 (step (d) )).

Next, as shown in FIG. 9, each expansion member 22 is moved inward along a radial direction centered on the axis X, and the elastic connector cover 16 is contracted. That is, the cylindrical portion 18 of the elastic connector cover 16 is contracted to the original shape by the elastic restoring force (step (e)).

Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 10, each expansion member 22 is moved relative to the elastic connector cover 16 to one side of the axis X, and the insertion portion 29 is pulled out from the elastic connector cover 16. At this time, since the extending portion 25 extends through the outside of the connector 15 and the elastic connector cover 16 to the other side of the axis X, that is, the opposite side of the main line portion 13, the expansion member 22 is connected to the connector 15. The elastic connector cover 16 and the main line portion 13 hardly interfere with each other. For this reason, the said extraction operation | work can be implemented easily. As a result, the connector 15 is accommodated in the cover portion 17 and the cylindrical portion 18 is fitted on the branch portion 14A extending from the connector 15 (step (f)).

Then, as shown in FIG. 11, when each expansion member 22 is moved away from the axis X, as shown in FIG. 12, a branch portion 14A to which the elastic connector cover 16 is attached from the inside of each expansion member 22. Can be easily removed. Thereby, the wire harness 10 with an annular elastic component can be manufactured.

According to the method of manufacturing the expansion jig for the annular elastic component and the wire harness with the annular elastic component configured as described above, the insertion portion 29 is provided away from the extending portion 25 on the axis X side. Therefore, the insertion portion 29 can be inserted into the elastic connector cover 16 with the elastic connector cover 16 disposed inside the extension portion 25. Then, the insertion portion 29 can be pulled out to the base end side of the base portion 24 with respect to the elastic connector cover 16. For this reason, when attaching the elastic connector cover 16 to the branch portion 14A of the wire harness 12, the main line portion 13, the connector 15 and the like are not easily obstructed and easily elastic to the branch portion 14A of the wire harness 12. A connector cover 16 can be attached.

Further, in a state where the insertion portion 29 of each expansion member 22 is closest, the elastic connector cover 16 can be disposed inside each extension portion 25, and in this state, the insertion portion 29 is connected to the elastic connector. The cover 16 can be easily pulled out.

{変形例}
{Modifications}
The expansion target by the expansion jig 20 is not limited to the elastic connector cover 16. The expansion jig 20 can be used as a device for expanding various annular elastic parts such as grommets formed of an elastic member such as rubber.

In addition, the position where the annular elastic component expanded by the expansion jig 20 is attached to the wire harness is not limited to the branch portion 14A. The present extension jig 20 can be applied in the case where some parts exist before and after the attachment target portion of the wire harness and the parts interfere when the linear jig is inserted or removed.
