Claims (4)
- 同一平面内で互いに接合されている第1ディスプレースクリーンと第2ディスプレースクリーンとを備えるタイルドディスプレースクリーンであって、
前記第1ディスプレースクリーンは第1有効表示領域と第1フレーム領域とを備え、前記第2ディスプレースクリーンは第2有効表示領域と第2フレーム領域とを備え、
前記第1有効表示領域での第1フレーム領域寄りの位置には第1画像重畳表示領域が設けられ、前記第1フレーム領域と前記第2フレーム領域とがお互いに接合されてフレーム待機表示領域を形成し、
前記第1画像重畳表示領域は、前記第1有効表示領域で表示しようとする画像に関する第1表示位置と、前記第1フレーム領域で表示しようとする画像に関する第2表示位置とを備え、前記第1表示位置と前記第2表示位置とが交代して分布され、
前記タイルドディスプレースクリーンの出光面、且つ、少なくとも前記第1フレーム領域及び前記第2フレーム領域に対応する位置に偏光分光プリズムが設けられ、前記偏光分光プリズムが、前記第1表示位置からの光の偏光方向を前記第2表示位置からの光の偏光方向に対して垂直にするように構成されていて、
前記偏光分光プリズムの出光面に、前記第1画像重畳表示領域に位置する第2表示位置の光を前記第1フレーム領域及び前記第2フレーム領域に集光させる集光プリズムが設けられていることを特徴とするタイルドディスプレースクリーン。 - 前記集光プリズムの反射面に偏光反射膜が設けられ、前記偏光反射膜は前記第1表示位置からの光に対しては反射しないが、前記第2表示位置からの光に対しては反射することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタイルドディスプレースクリーン。
- 前記集光プリズムの反射面と前記偏光分光プリズムとの間には夾角があることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタイルドディスプレースクリーン。
- 前記第1画像重畳表示領域に列おきに画像を走査する方式で信号を入力して、前記第1画像重畳表示領域での第1表示位置と第2表示位置とが交代して分布されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタイルドディスプレースクリーン。
