Claims (12)
- 下端部が密封され、上端部に開口のある環状フランジ(42)が形成され、中心軸が長軸方向に延びる細長の原子炉容器(12)、
下側に密封面を形成するように機械加工された環状部(40)を有する原子炉容器蓋体(22)、
原子炉容器蓋体(22)の下側の密封面(40)と原子炉容器フランジ(42)との間で当該フランジ上に設置される大きさの取り外し可能な環状シールリング(44)から成り、当該環状シールリング(44)は当該容器蓋体の下側の当該密封面と当該原子炉容器フランジとの間に位置し、その厚さは液圧式機構のための作動液、計測信号、または電気機構用電力より成る1種以上のユーティリティを搬送するためのユーティリティ用導管(50)を、その外周面が原子炉容器(12)の外側から内側へ貫通する半径方向通路(48)に封止された状態で収容できる大きさであり、取り外し可能な環状シールリング(44)がかかる半径方向通路(48)を1つ以上含み、
更に、核反応する炉心(14)を含む下部炉内構造物(46)および炉心の上方に位置する上部炉内構造物(62)から成る原子炉内構造物組立体を含み、当該原子炉内構造物組立体が原子炉容器(12)内に設置され、取り外し可能な環状シールリング(44)が当該原子炉内構造物組立体に取り付けられており、
更に、原子炉容器(12)の内壁と当該原子炉内構造物組立体との間に、下方に流れて核反応する炉心(14)の下側に到達する比較的冷たい原子炉冷却材の実質的な環状流路を含み、当該取り外し可能な環状シールリング(44)の少なくとも一部が当該原子炉内構造物組立体に取り付けられているところで当該環状流路の上方を延びており、当該取り外し可能な環状シールリング(44)の当該環状流路の上方に延びる部分に、原子炉冷却材を通すための原子炉容器(12)の中心軸方向に延びる開口部(64)が含まれる原子炉。
- 原子炉容器(12)の中心軸方向に延びる開口部(64)が半径方向通路(48)から原子炉容器(12)の周方向に離隔している請求項1の原子炉。
- 取り外し可能な環状シールリング(44)が上部炉内構造物(62)に取り付けられている請求項1の原子炉。
- 上部炉内構造物(62)を取り外せば、取り外し可能な環状シールリング(44)を原子炉容器(12)から取り外すことができる請求項3の原子炉。
- 1つ以上のユーティリティ用導管(50)が上部炉内構造物(62)と一体化し、原子炉容器(12)外側のユーティリティ切り離し部(66)を含んでいる請求項4の原子炉。
- 環状シールリング(44)が両側に上部および下部二重オーリングシール(68、70)を有し、上部二重オーリングシール(68)はこの両側のうち一方の側で原子炉容器フランジ(42)と係合し、下部二重オーリングシール(70)はもう一方の側で原子炉容器蓋体(40)の環状部と係合し、当該環状シールリング(44)は当該上部と下部の二重オーリングシールの間を延びて、1本の原子炉容器フランジリークオフ管へ向かう両セットのシールを介する漏洩の検出を可能にする孔を有することを特徴とする請求項1の原子炉。
- 下部二重オーリングシール(70)から延びる1本の原子炉容器フランジリークオフ管を具備する請求項6の原子炉。
- 取り外し可能な環状シールリング(44)が原子炉容器(12)と同じ熱膨張特性を有する金属から鍛造される請求項1の原子炉。
- 取り外し可能な環状シールリング(44)が(i)原子炉冷却材との接触面がステンレス鋼で覆われた炭素鋼または(ii)690合金から鍛造される請求項8の原子炉。
- 環状シールリング(44)を間に挟んで原子炉容器蓋体(22)を原子炉容器フランジ(42)に固定するスタッド(74)が通る当該原子炉容器蓋体(22)および当該原子炉容器フランジ(42)の開口部と一直線に当該環状シールリング(44)を軸方向に貫通する複数の孔(52)を有することを特徴とする請求項1の原子炉。
- 隣接する2つの前記孔(52)の間に1つ以上の半径方向通路(48)が延びている請求項10の原子炉。
- ユーティリティ用導管(50)の外周面が環状シールリング(44)内径面上で半径方向通路(48)に封止されている請求項1の原子炉。
