Claims (10)
- 視感度最高色である第一色のサブ画素と第二色のサブ画素と視感度最低色である第三色のサブ画素とを内包する矩形状の画素が2次元に配列された画素アレイにおいて、
前記第二色のサブ画素は、前記矩形状の画素の第1の方向に隣り合う2隅近傍に配置される第1部分及び第2部分を含み、
前記第三色のサブ画素は、前記矩形状の画素の前記第1の方向に隣り合う他の2隅近傍に配置される第1部分及び第2部分を含み、
前記第一色のサブ画素は、前記矩形状の画素の重心を含む中央部に配置され、
前記第三色のサブ画素は、前記第一色のサブ画素並びに前記第二色のサブ画素よりも面積が大きく、
前記第1の方向に直交する第2の方向において、前記第二色のサブ画素及び前記第三色のサブ画素は、前記画素の前記第1の方向の端部近傍で幅が最も広く、前記第一色のサブ画素は、前記画素の重心を含み、
各々のサブ画素は、電極上に発光材料を備える構造を有し、
前記第二色のサブ画素及び/又は前記第三色のサブ画素は、前記第1部分と前記第2部分とで、前記発光材料が分離し、かつ、前記電極が連続しており、
前記第二色のサブ画素及び/又は前記第三色のサブ画素の前記第1部分と、前記第1の方向の前記第1部分側に隣り合う画素の同色のサブ画素の第2部分とは、前記発光材料が連続し、
前記第二色のサブ画素及び/又は前記第三色のサブ画素の前記第2部分と、前記第1の方向の前記第2部分側に隣り合う画素の同色のサブ画素の第1部分とは、前記発光材料が連続し、
前記電極は、画素毎に分離している、ことを特徴とする画素アレイ。 - 前記第一色のサブ画素は、前記第二色のサブ画素及び前記第三色のサブ画素の前記第1部分及び前記第2部分との間隔が略一定となる形状である、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画素アレイ。
- 前記第二色のサブ画素及び/又は前記第三色のサブ画素の前記第1部分及び前記第2部分は、前記画素内で分離している、ことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の画素アレイ。
- 前記第一色のサブ画素、前記第二色のサブ画素及び前記第三色のサブ画素は、前記画素の重心を通り、前記第2方向に延在する中心線に対して線対称である、ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか一に記載の画素アレイ。
- 前記第二色のサブ画素と前記第三色のサブ画素とは対称に配置されていない、ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一に記載の画素アレイ。
- 前記第一色はG(Green)、前記第二色はR(Red)、前記第三色はB(Blue)である、ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか一に記載の画素アレイ。
- 請求項1乃至6のいずれか一に記載の画素アレイと、前記画素アレイを駆動する回路部と、を備える、ことを特徴とする電気光学機器。
- 有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子からなる請求項1乃至6のいずれか一に記載の画素アレイと、前記画素アレイを駆動する回路部と、がフレキシブル基板上に形成された有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置を表示装置として備える、ことを特徴とする電気機器。
- 基板上に画素アレイを形成する際に使用されるメタルマスクであって、
前記画素アレイは、視感度最高色である第一色のサブ画素と第二色のサブ画素と視感度最低色である第三色のサブ画素とを内包する矩形状の画素が2次元に配列されたものであり、
前記第二色のサブ画素は、前記矩形状の画素の第1の方向に隣り合う2隅近傍に配置される、互いに分離した第1部分及び第2部分を含み、前記第三色のサブ画素は、前記矩形状の画素の前記第1の方向に隣り合う他の2隅近傍に配置される、互いに分離した第1部分及び第2部分を含み、前記第一色のサブ画素は、前記矩形状の画素の重心を含む中央部に配置され、
前記第二色又は前記第三色の発光材料を成膜するためのメタルマスクは、前記第二色のサブ画素又は前記第三色のサブ画素の前記第1部分と、前記第1の方向の前記第1部分側に隣り合う画素の同色のサブ画素の第2部分とに対して、1つの開口部を備え、前記第二色のサブ画素又は前記第三色のサブ画素の前記第2部分と、前記第1の方向の前記第2部分側に隣り合う画素の同色のサブ画素の第1部分とに対して、1つの開口部を備える、ことを特徴とするメタルマスク。 - 前記第一色はG(Green)、前記第二色はR(Red)、前記第三色はB(Blue)である、ことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のメタルマスク。
