Description
前記正極端子および負極端子にそれぞれ接続され、少なくとも一部が互いに対向配置された少なくとも1つの第1電極および少なくとも1つの第2電極と、
前記第1電極および第2電極の互いに対向する部分の間に配置された、熱収縮性または熱溶融性を持つ絶縁部材と、
前記第1電極の電位が所定の値以上となると酸化還元反応を生じるレドックスシャトル剤と、
を有する電池が提供される。
少なくとも一部が対向配置された少なくとも1つの第1電極および少なくとも1つの第2電極との間に、熱収縮性または熱溶融性を持つ絶縁部材を配置する工程と、
前記第1電極および第2電極の周囲に、前記第1電極の電位が所定の値以上となると酸化還元反応を生じるレドックスシャトル剤を配置する工程と、
前記第1電極および第2電極をそれぞれ前記正極端子および前記負極端子に接続する工程と、
を有する電池の製造方法が提供される。
電池要素10は、正極、負極、セパレータおよび電解液を含んで構成され、これら電池要素10、正極端子11、負極端子12および外装体13は、従来の電池と同様に構成することができる。
セパレータとしては、有機材料からなるウェブおよびシート、例えば、ポリアミド、ポリイミド、セルロースなどの織布、不織布、ポリエチレンやポリプロピレンなどのポリオレフィン系、ポリアミド、ポリイミド、多孔性ポリフッ化ビニリデン膜等の多孔性ポリマー膜、またはイオン伝導性ポリマー電解質膜等を用いることができる。これらは単独または組み合わせで使用することができる。
負極は、金属箔で形成される負極集電体と、負極集電体の両面に塗工された負極活物質とを有する。負極活物質は負極用結着材によって負極集電体を覆うように結着される。負極集電体は、負極端子と接続する延長部を有して形成され、この延長部には負極活物質は塗工されない。
正極は、金属箔で形成される正極集電体と、正極集電体の両面に塗工された正極活物質とを有する。正極活物質は正極用結着剤によって正極集電体を覆うように結着される。正極集電体は、正極端子と接続する延長部を有して形成され、この延長部には正極活物質は塗工されない。
本実施形態で用いる電解液は、リチウム塩(支持塩)と、この支持塩を溶解する非水溶媒を含む非水電解液を用いることができる。
外装体としては、電解液に安定で、かつ十分な水蒸気バリア性を持つものであれば、適宜選択することができる。例えば、積層ラミネート型の二次電池の場合、外装体としては、アルミニウムと樹脂のラミネートフィルムを用いることが好ましい。外装体は、単一の部材で構成してもよいし、複数の部材を組み合わせて構成してもよい。
正極端子11および負極端子12が接続された電池要素10と、
正極端子11および負極端子12にそれぞれ接続され、少なくとも一部が互いに対向配置された少なくとも1つの第1電極17aおよび少なくとも1つの第2電極17bと、
第1電極17aと第2電極17bとの互いに対向する部分の間に配置された、熱収縮性または熱溶融性を持つ絶縁部材16と、
正極端子11に接続された第1電極17aの電位が所定の値以上となると酸化還元反応を生じるレドックスシャトル剤と、
を有する。
電池要素10に正極端子11および負極端子12を接続する工程と、
少なくとも一部が対向配置された少なくとも1つの第1電極17aおよび少なくとも1つの第2電極17bの間に、熱収縮性または熱溶融性を持つ絶縁部材16を配置する工程と、
第1電極17aおよび第2電極17bの周囲に、正極端子11と接続される第1電極17aの電位が所定の値以上となると酸化還元反応を生じるレドックスシャトル剤を配置する工程と、
第1電極17aと第2電極17bとをそれぞれ正極端子11および負極端子12に接続する工程と、
を有する。

Claims (11)
- 正極端子および負極端子が接続された電池要素と、
前記正極端子と前記負極端子との間に接続された短絡装置と、
を有し、
前記短絡装置は、前記正極端子に接続された少なくとも1つの第1電極と、前記負極端子に接続され、前記第1電極と対向する部分を持つ少なくとも1つの第2電極と、前記第1電極および前記第2電極が対向する部分の間に配置された、熱収縮性または熱溶融性を持つ絶縁部材と、前記第1電極の電位が所定の値以上となると酸化還元反応を生じるレドックスシャトル剤と、を有し、
前記絶縁部材および前記レドックスシャトル剤は前記電池要素が過充電となる前に前記正極端子と前記負極端子とを短絡させるように選択される電池。 - 前記正極端子と負極端子との短絡経路中に電気抵抗成分を有する請求項1に記載の電池。
- 前記レドックスシャトル剤は前記第1電極と第2電極との間に存在している請求項1または2に記載の電池。
- 前記電池要素を封入する外装体をさらに有する請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の電池。
- 前記第1電極と第2電極との互いに対向する部分、前記絶縁部材および前記レドックスシャトル剤を封入する容器をさらに有する請求項4に記載の電池。
- 前記絶縁部材はシート状の部材であり、前記シート状の部材の一部が前記容器に固定されている請求項5に記載の電池。
- 請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の電池を有する電動車両。
- 請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の電池を有する蓄電設備。
- 電池要素に正極端子および負極端子を接続する工程と、
前記正極端子と前記負極端子との間に短絡装置を接続する工程と、
を有し、
前記短絡装置を接続する工程は、少なくとも1つの第1電極と少なくとも1つの第2電極とを互いに対向する部分を持って配置する工程と、前記第1電極と前記第2電極との間に、熱収縮性または熱溶融性を持つ絶縁部材を配置する工程と、前記第1電極および第2電極の周囲に、前記第1電極の電位が所定の値以上となると酸化還元反応を生じるレドックスシャトル剤を配置する工程と、前記第1電極および第2電極をそれぞれ前記正極端子および前記負極端子に接続する工程と、を有し、
前記絶縁部材および前記レドックスシャトル剤は、前記電池要素が過充電となる前に前記正極端子と前記負極端子とを短絡させるように選択される電池の製造方法。 - 前記第1電極および第2電極の互いに対向する部分、前記絶縁部材および前記レドックスシャトル剤を容器に封入する工程をさらに有する請求項9に記載の電池の製造方法。
- 前記絶縁部材はシート状の部材であり、前記容器に封入する工程は、前記シート状の部材の一部を前記容器に固定することを含む請求項10に記載の電池の製造方法。
