Claims (4)
- 金属製の相手部材にブーツ端部が取付固定される等速自在継手用ブーツの取付方法であって、
前記相手部材の外径面である被取付面にスリットを形成し、相手部材の被取付面にブーツ端部を外嵌させた後、リング状をなす高周波誘導加熱コイルをブーツ端部に外嵌し、この高周波誘導加熱コイルへ高周波電流を通電して前記相手部材の被取付面の表層部分のみを高周波誘導により加熱されて、アンカー効果が発揮されるようにブーツ材料が前記スリット内へ侵入硬化し、ブーツ端部の内径面である取付面と前記相手部材の外径面である被取付面とを接合一体化するものであり、高周波誘導加熱コイルの内径面と、ブーツ端部の反取付面とは接触するとともに、この接触を締め代とすることを特徴とするブーツ取付方法。 - 相手部材の被取付面に形成するスリットの深さを0.1mm〜1mmの範囲とすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のブーツ取付方法。
- ブーツ端部の取付面の内径と相手部材の被取付面の外径との直径における比を、0.995〜0.98の締め代とすることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2のいずれか1項に記載のブーツ取付方法。
- ブーツ材質を熱可塑性ポリエステル系エラストマーとすることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか1項に記載のブーツ取付方法。
