Claims (12)
- ミリ波信号伝送用の誘電体導波路であって、
前記誘電体導波路は、電磁場を前記誘電体導波路に沿って通すことによりミリ波信号を伝送するように構成された誘電体媒質を含む内部コア(210)を含み、
前記誘電体媒質(220)は誘電体を含み、
前記誘電体は、伝搬する前記電磁場を前記内部コア(210)に閉じ込めるように構成された誘電特性を有し、かつミリ波周波数範囲の信号周波数で低伝送損失を加え、
前記誘電体媒質(220)は、複数のファイバ(225)の1つまたは複数の束を含み、前記複数のファイバのそれぞれは、前記ミリ波周波数範囲の信号周波数で3.0よりも高い比誘電率および0.001よりも低い損失正接を示す、前記誘電体から作られている、
ことを特徴とする誘電体導波路。 - 前記ミリ波周波数範囲は、50GHz〜300GHzの範囲の周波数を含む、
請求項1に記載の誘電体導波路。 - 前記内部コア(210)を取り囲むクラッディング(230)をさらに含み、前記クラッディング(230)は、前記ミリ波周波数範囲の周波数で前記電磁場を前記内部コア(210)にさらに閉じ込めるように構成された、
請求項1または2に記載の誘電体導波路。 - 前記クラッディング(230)は、前記内部コア(210)に直接隣接し、非金属材料から作られている、
請求項3に記載の誘電体導波路。 - 前記クラッディング(230)は、前記ミリ波周波数範囲の周波数で0.001よりも低い損失正接を有するポリマー材料から作られている、
請求項3または4に記載の誘電体導波路。 - 前記誘電体は、
3.0よりも高い比誘電率および0.0001よりも低い損失正接を有する石英、および/または、
アルミナを含む、
請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体導波路。 - 前記誘電体媒質は、前記内部コアの容積を満たす前記誘電体の粉末および/または粒子を含む、
請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体導波路。 - 少なくとも1つの束の前記複数のファイバ(225)の各々は、前記内部コア(210)に沿って延びる、
請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体導波路。 - 少なくとも1つの束の前記複数のファイバは、前記内部コアに沿って延びる糸を形成し、前記糸の各ファイバの長さは前記内部コアの長さよりも短い、
請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体導波路。 - 前記ミリ波周波数範囲の信号周波数で、伝搬する前記電磁場の電力の約3%未満が前記誘電体導波路を取り囲む媒質によって通される、
請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体導波路。 - 前記取り囲む媒質は空気である、請求項10に記載の誘電体導波路。
- 請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体導波路(200)を含む、ミリ波周波数で信号を伝送するためのケーブル。
