Description
(a)中心孔(21)を有しかつ1枚の鍔部(15)および1本の軸部(17)を備えた一体的金網構造(19)、および
(b)少なくとも一部分が上記中心孔(21)内にある金属インサート(23)、
を備えており、
その場合に、上記金属インサート(23)は、外表面を有する壁を備え、かつこの外表面が、上記一体的金網構造(19)の中心孔(21)の金網と係合するための少なくとも2個の開口部(27)を備えている。
(a)1個の開口部(33)当たりの可撓性フィンガ(35)の数が3と16との間であり、かつ
(b)各可撓性フィンガ(35)の縦横比が、1:1から3:1までの範囲内にあり、例えば1.6:1である。
(a)内部で金網が圧縮される1個のキャビティを形成する1本のスリーブ(55)であって、1枚の基板に係合する位置を有するスリーブ(55)、および
(b)上記スリーブ(55)が上記基板に係合する位置にあるときを判断する1個のセンサ、
を備え、
その場合に、
(1)上記成形装置は、上記スリーブ(55)がその上記基板に係合する位置にあることを上記センサ(57)が発信する以前には、上記金網の圧縮を回避し、かつ
(2)上記スリーブ(55)がその上記基板に係合する位置にあるときに、上記スリーブ(55)によって上記基板(7,65)に加えられる力が10ポンド(4.5kg)未満である。

(2)1本の軸(71)を上記チューブの中心孔に挿入する、

(c)上記チューブ(73)の第2の部分を第2のキャビティ(83)で取り囲み、
(d)この第2のキャビティ(83)の容積を縮小して、上記第1のキャビティ(81)の容積は殆ど縮小させずに、上記チューブ(73)の第2の部分を圧縮することによって、上記リベットの鍔部(15)を形成し、
(e)上記固定された底面(77)に対する上記可動壁(79)の移動を通じて上記第1のキャビティ(81)の容積を縮小させる、

Claims (2)
- 中心孔を有し、一端に1つの鍔部を備え、かつ他端に1本の軸部を備えた一体的金網構造を備え、前記鍔部の平均密度が前記軸部の平均密度よりも大きく、前記軸部が熱遮蔽板の孔に挿入され前記鍔部と同等の平均密度を有する第2の鍔部を形成するように圧縮されるリベットであって、
前記第2の鍔部を形成するために前記軸部を圧縮する前の前記リベットの鍔部の体積に対する該鍔部を構成するワイヤの体積の割合Dcollarが15%から25%までの範囲内にあり、
前記第2の鍔部を形成するために前記軸部を圧縮する前の前記リベットの軸部の体積に対する該軸部を構成するワイヤの体積の割合Dshankが7.5%から12.5%までの範囲内にあり、
前記体積の割合Dcollar、Dshankが以下の式から求められるものであり、
Dcollar=100×(Wcollar/(Vcollar×ρ))
Dshank=100×(Wshank/(Vshank×ρ))
ただし、
Dcollar:鍔部の体積に対するこの鍔部を構成するワイヤの体積の割合(パーセント)
Wcollar:鍔部の重さ
Vcollar:鍔部の体積
Dshank:軸部の体積に対するこの軸部を構成するワイヤの体積の割合(パーセント)
Wshank:軸部の重さ
Vshank:軸部の体積
ρ:一体的金網構造を構成するワイヤの密度(重さ/体積)、
少なくとも一部分が前記中心孔内にある金属インサートをさらに備え、
前記金属インサートが、外表面を有する壁を備え、かつ前記外表面が、前記一体的金網構造の前記中心孔の金網と係合するための少なくとも2個の開口部を備えていることを特徴とするリベット。 - 前記少なくとも2個の開口部が、以下の少なくとも1つにより特徴付けられる請求項1記載のリベット:
(a)前記少なくとも2個の開口部が、前記一体的金網構造の金網でほぼ満たされている;
(b)前記少なくとも2個の開口部が、前記壁の厚さの途中まで延びている;および
(c)前記少なくとも2個の開口部が、前記壁の厚さを完全に貫通して延びている。
