Description
第4の発明は、第1ないし第3のいずれかの発明に従属する発明であって、第2光拡散部は、第1光拡散部よりも凹凸の深さが小さい。
この発明の上述の目的、その他の目的、特徴および利点は、図面を参照して行う後述の実施例の詳細な説明から一層明らかとなろう。
図1を参照して、この発明の第1実施例である照明装置10は、棒状の導光部材80およびその端面に対向して配置される光源82を備え、電子写真方式によって用紙に画像を形成する画像形成装置100に用いられる。詳細は後述するように、照明装置10は、画像読取装置14内に設けられる。そして、光源82から導光部材80内に入射された光を、導光部材80内で導光し、導光部材80の周側面に長手方向に沿って形成される光出射面114から画像読取位置22に向けて出射して、原稿(被照射体)を照らす。
次に、図12を参照して、この発明の第2実施例である照明装置10について説明する。この第2実施例では、第2光拡散部126の凹凸の形状が上述の第1実施例と異なる。その他の部分の構成については同様であるので、上述の第1実施例と共通する部分については、同じ参照番号を付し、重複する説明は省略または簡略化する。
続いて、図13を参照して、この発明の第3実施例である照明装置10について説明する。この第3実施例では、第2光拡散部126の凹凸の形状が上述の第1実施例と異なる。その他の部分の構成については同様であるので、上述の第1実施例と共通する部分については、同じ参照番号を付し、重複する説明は省略または簡略化する。

Claims (7)
- 透明材によって棒状に形成される導光部材と、前記導光部材の少なくとも一方の端面に対向して配置される光源とを備え、前記光源からの光を、前記導光部材の内部で導光して当該導光部材の長手方向に沿って形成される光出射面から出射する照明装置であって、
前記導光部材の前記光出射面は、
前記光源に近い第1部分において、凹凸状に形成される第1光拡散部と、
前記第1光拡散部の前記光源と反対側の端縁に隣接する第2部分において、前記第1光拡散部よりも小さい光拡散率を有する凹凸状に形成される第2光拡散部とを有し、
前記第1光拡散部は、前記長手方向に延び、かつ前記導光部材の周方向に並ぶ、複数の第1凸部を有する、照明装置。 - 前記第2光拡散部は、前記長手方向に延び、かつ前記導光部材の周方向に並ぶ、複数の第2凸部を有する、請求項1記載の照明装置。
- 前記第2光拡散部は、粗面状に形成される、請求項1記載の照明装置。
- 前記第2光拡散部は、前記第1光拡散部よりも凹凸の深さが小さい、請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の照明装置。
- 前記第2光拡散部は、前記第1光拡散部よりも前記長手方向の長さが小さい、請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の照明装置。
- 請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の照明装置、
前記照明装置によって光を照射される原稿を載置する原稿台、および
前記原稿の画像を読み取る画像読取部を備える、画像読取装置。 - 請求項6に記載の画像読取装置、および
前記画像読取装置によって読み取った画像を用紙に形成する画像形成部を備える、画像形成装置。
