Description

The present invention relates to a vehicle cowl structure.

Conventionally, the cowl top cover is made into a molding part by providing a molding part on the lower surface of the lower end of the windshield panel, providing a claw on the lower surface of the cowl top cover, and engaging the claw of the cowl top cover with the claw of the molding part. A structure for assembling to the windshield panel via the above is known (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

Japanese Patent No. 5614894

Here, the claws of the cowl top cover are formed by being continuously connected along the vehicle width direction. Therefore, when the claws of the cowl top cover are engaged with the claws of the molding parts, the cowl top cover tends to bend in the middle part along the vehicle width direction of the cowl top cover, so that the cowl top cover is assembled to the vehicle body. There was a problem that the work efficiency was lowered for the attachment work.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a cowl portion structure of a vehicle that suppresses a decrease in assembly work efficiency for assembling a cowl top cover to a vehicle body.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the cowl portion structure of the vehicle according to the present invention includes a cowl top cover that is engaged with a holding member provided at the lower end portion of the windshield panel. An engaging piece projecting downward is provided on the lower surface of the front portion of the cowl top cover, and the engaging projection is formed on the engaging piece so as to project toward the vertical wall of the holding member. There is. On the vertical wall of the holding member, an engaged convex portion is formed so as to project toward the engaging piece of the cowl top cover and engage with the engaging projection of the engaging piece, and the cowl top cover is engaged. A plurality of protrusions are arranged at predetermined intervals along the vehicle width direction , a through hole is formed in the engaging piece of the cowl top cover, and the engaging protrusion is formed on the lower peripheral edge of the through hole. Is formed .

In this way, since a plurality of engaging protrusions of the cowl top cover are arranged at predetermined intervals along the vehicle width direction, when the engaging protrusions are continuously connected and formed along the vehicle width direction. In comparison, the workability of assembling the cowl top cover to the vehicle body is improved. Hereinafter, a specific description will be given.

When engaging the engaging protrusion of the cowl top cover with the engaged protrusion of the holding member, of the plurality of engaging protrusions of the cowl top cover, the engaging protrusion at the center in the vehicle width direction is first engaged convex. The engagement position is gradually moved to the outside in the vehicle width direction of the cowl top cover so as to engage the portion and then engage the engaging protrusion adjacent to the outside in the vehicle width direction with the engaged protrusion. Finally, the outer end in the vehicle width direction is engaged. Therefore, the cowl top cover according to the present invention can be more efficiently assembled to the vehicle body than the case where the engaging protrusions are continuously connected and formed along the vehicle width direction. When the engaging protrusion is engaged with the engaged protrusion, the operator receives a clear feel with his / her fingers, so that the cowl top cover can be reliably assembled to the vehicle body.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In the drawings, FR indicates the front side of the vehicle, RR indicates the rear side of the vehicle, RH indicates the right side in the vehicle width direction, and LH indicates the left side in the vehicle width direction.

As shown in FIG. 1, in the front portion 1 of the vehicle, the cowl top cover 3 extends along the vehicle width direction. A pair of hood bridge supports 5 and 5 are arranged on the left and right sides of the cowl top cover 3. A windshield panel 7 extending diagonally downward toward the front extends along the vehicle width direction behind and above the cowl top cover 3. The lower end 35 of the windshield panel 7 is curved so that the central portion 9 in the vehicle width direction is arranged on the front side of the left side portion 11 and the right side portion 13 in the front view. A cushioning material 15 is attached to the upper side of both left and right ends of the cowl top cover 3.

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 6, the cowl top cover 3 has a main body portion 17, an extension portion 19 formed at the tip of the main body portion 17, and a hook that protrudes downward from the lower surface to the extension portion 19. A coalescence piece 21 is provided, and the engaging piece 21 is formed with an engaging projection 23 that projects toward the vertical wall 45 of the holding member 39 (that is, toward the front side of the vehicle). Hereinafter, a specific description will be given.

The cowl top cover 3 is provided with an engaging piece 21. The engaging piece 21 is formed at the same height along the vehicle width direction, and the engaging piece 21 extends in a direction substantially orthogonal to the main body portion 17. That is, an engaging piece 21 that projects downward is provided on the lower surface of the front portion of the cowl top cover 3. A plurality of rectangular through holes 25 are formed in the engaging piece 21 at predetermined intervals along the vehicle width direction when viewed from the front. Engagement protrusions 23 are formed along the lower peripheral edge of each through hole 25. The engaging protrusion 23 is formed in a triangular cross section and projects toward the front side of the vehicle. Further, the length of the engaging protrusion 23 along the vehicle width direction is equivalent to the length of the through hole 25 in the vehicle width direction. Further, a protrusion 31 having a triangular cross section is formed at the lower end of the rear side surface of the engaging piece 21 toward the rear side of the vehicle, and a holding recess 33 is formed at the upper portion of the root portion of the protrusion 31. ..

As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a holding member 39 is bonded to the lower surface of the lower end portion 35 of the windshield panel 7 via an adhesive sealing material 37. The holding member 39 includes a holding body 41 joined to the lower end 35 of the windshield panel 7 via an adhesive sealing material 37, and a U-shaped U-shaped holding body 43 integrally formed on the front portion of the holding body 41. Is formed from. The front vertical wall 45 constituting the U-shaped holder 43 extends substantially orthogonal to the main body 17 of the cowl top cover 3. An engaged convex portion 47 having a triangular cross section is provided at the upper end portion of the vertical wall 45 so as to project rearward. The holding member 39 is configured by embedding a metal bone portion 49 inside the resin 48. The bone portion 49 is configured so that the rigidity of the holding member 39 is improved and the vertical wall 45 is easily elastically deformed even when a load is input to the vertical wall 45. Further, a protrusion 51 projecting to the front side of the vehicle is formed on the rear side of the vertical wall 45 described above.

Next, the procedure for assembling the cowl top cover 3 to the holding member 39 will be described with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6.

First, as shown in FIG. 6, the front end portion of the cowl top cover 3 is arranged on the holding member 39. Then, when the engaging piece 21 of the cowl top cover 3 is lowered in the direction indicated by the alternate long and short dash line, the protruding portion 31 elastically deforms the protruding portion 51 in the direction of pushing down the protruding portion 51, and the engaging protrusion 23 is engaged and convex. The vertical wall 45 is elastically deformed toward the front side of the vehicle by hitting the portion 47.

As a result, as shown in FIG. 5, the protrusion 51 is pushed into the holding recess 33 and held. Further, the engaging protrusion 23 engages with the engaged convex portion 47. The front side surface (lower side surface) of the engaging protrusion 23 is formed as an inclined surface toward the rear side toward the lower side, and the upper side surface of the engaged convex portion 47 also is inclined toward the rear side toward the lower side. It is formed on the surface. Therefore, when the engaging protrusion 23 hits the engaged convex portion 47, the front side surface (lower side surface) of the engaging protrusion 23 slides on the upper side surface of the engaged convex portion 47. Of the portions of the cowl top cover 3 in the vehicle width direction, the central portion in the vehicle width direction shown in FIG. 1 is first engaged with the holding member 39, and then the portion to be engaged is gradually moved to the outside in the vehicle width direction. It is moved, and finally, both end portions in the vehicle width direction are engaged with the holding member 39.

Here, a method of molding the cowl top cover 3 will be briefly described with reference to FIGS. 7 and 8.

As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the mold includes an upper mold 61 and a lower mold 63. Further, a punch 65 for forming a through hole 25 of the engaging piece 21 of the cowl top cover 3 is also used. A hole forming portion 75 is provided at the end of the punch 65, and a protrusion 67 is provided at the tip of the hole forming portion 75. On the other hand, the lower mold 63 is formed with an insertion portion 71 into which the protrusion 67 of the punch 65 is inserted.

First, as shown in FIG. 7, the upper die 61 and the lower die 63 are closed and the punch 65 is inserted. In this state, the molten resin 73 is filled in the cavity space formed between the upper mold 61, the lower mold 63, and the punch 65. After being left for a while, the upper mold 61, the lower mold 63 and the punch 65 are cooled, and the molten resin 73 is cooled and cured.

Then, as shown in FIG. 8, after the molten resin 73 is cured, the upper mold 61 is raised and the punch 65 is pulled out to complete the molding of the cowl top cover 3.

The effects of the embodiments of the present invention will be described below.

(1) The cowl portion structure of the vehicle according to the present embodiment includes a cowl top cover 3 that is engaged with a holding member 39 provided at the lower end portion 35 of the windshield panel 7. An engaging piece 21 projecting downward is provided on the lower surface of the front portion of the cowl top cover 3, and the engaging piece 21 is engaged with the engaging member 39 so as to project toward the vertical wall 45 of the holding member 39. The protrusion 23 is formed. The vertical wall 45 of the holding member 39 is formed with an engaged convex portion 47 that projects toward the engaging piece 21 of the cowl top cover 3 and engages with the engaging projection 23 of the engaging piece 21. There is. A plurality of engaging protrusions 23 of the cowl top cover 3 are arranged at predetermined intervals along the vehicle width direction.

In this way, since a plurality of engaging protrusions 23 of the cowl top cover 3 are arranged at predetermined intervals along the vehicle width direction, the engaging protrusions are continuously connected and formed along the vehicle width direction. Compared with the case, the workability of assembling the cowl top cover 3 to the vehicle body is improved. Hereinafter, a specific description will be given.

When the engaging protrusion 23 of the cowl top cover 3 is engaged with the engaged convex portion 47 of the holding member 39, among the plurality of engaging protrusions 23 of the cowl top cover 3, the engaging protrusion 23 at the center in the vehicle width direction First engages with the engaged convex portion 47, and then gradually cowls the engaging position so that the engaging protrusion 23 adjacent to the outside in the vehicle width direction is engaged with the engaged convex portion 47. The top cover 3 is moved outward in the vehicle width direction, and finally the outer end in the vehicle width direction is engaged. Therefore, the cowl top cover 3 according to the present embodiment can be more efficiently assembled to the vehicle body than the case where the engaging protrusions are continuously connected and formed along the vehicle width direction. .. When the engaging protrusion 23 is engaged with the engaged protrusion 47, the operator receives a clear feel with his / her fingers, so that the cowl top cover 3 can be reliably assembled to the vehicle body. it can.

(2) A through hole 25 is formed in the engaging piece 21 of the cowl top cover 3, and the engaging projection 23 is formed on the lower peripheral edge of the through hole 25.

Since the through hole 25 is formed in the engaging piece 21, the engaging projection 23 is more likely to be elastically deformed in the front-rear direction of the vehicle than when the through hole 25 is closed. Therefore, according to the present embodiment, the engaging projection 23 is easily elastically deformed, and the cowl top cover 3 assembly work becomes efficient.
(3) The lower end portion 35 of the windshield panel 7 is curved so that the central portion 9 in the vehicle width direction is arranged on the front side of the left side portion 11 and the right side portion 13 in the front view.

When the lower end of the windshield panel 7 is formed so that the central portion 9 in the vehicle width direction, the left side portion 11 and the right side portion 13 are substantially linear along the vehicle width direction in the front view, the cowl top cover is formed. Even if the engaging protrusions are formed by being continuously connected along the vehicle width direction, it is relatively easy to assemble the cowl top cover to the vehicle body without bending the cowl top cover. However, when the lower end 35 of the windshield panel 7 is curved, if the engaging protrusions of the cowl top cover are continuously connected along the vehicle width direction, the cowl top cover is in the middle of assembly. There is a problem that the cowl top cover tends to bend.

Therefore, when the lower end portion 35 of the windshield panel 7 is curved, if a plurality of engaging projections 23 of the cowl top cover 3 are arranged at predetermined intervals along the vehicle width direction, the cowl top cover 3 The cowl top cover 3 is less likely to bend in the middle of assembling, and the workability of assembling the cowl top cover 3 to the vehicle body is further improved.

The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications and modifications can be made based on the technical idea of the present invention.
