Description
図1は、ハードディスク装置の一例を示す斜視図である。図1に示すように、ハードディスク装置(HDD)1は、ケース2と、スピンドル3を中心に回転するディスク4と、ピボット軸5を中心に旋回可能なキャリッジ6と、キャリッジ6を駆動するためのボイスコイルモータ7と、ケース2外の外部装置に接続されるコントローラ8等を備えている。ケース2は、図示しない蓋によって密閉される。キャリッジ6とコントローラ8とは、フレキシブル基板9を介して接続されている。
図12は、第2実施形態のフレキシャ15の一例を示す平面図である。第2実施形態は、囲繞部62を備えている点が第1実施形態と異なる。囲繞部62は、例えば第1カバー絶縁層44から形成され、第2パッド52の近傍においてタング部32の外縁32Eに沿って設けられている。囲繞部62は、少なくとも、外縁32Eのうちの貯留領域61を臨む部位(図12中に左上がり斜線で示す)を覆っている。壁部60と囲繞部62とは、図12に示す例のように隙間があってもよいし、後述する第3変形例のように連続していてもよい。
Claims (8)
- スライダが搭載されるタング部を有したメタルベースと、
前記メタルベースの上に形成された配線部材と、
前記スライダを回動させるアクチュエータと、を備えたハードディスク装置のフレキシャであって、
前記配線部材は、前記メタルベースの上に形成されたベース絶縁層と、該ベース絶縁層の上に形成された導体層と、該導体層を覆うカバー絶縁層と、を備え、
前記導体層は、前記タング部において、パッド及び壁外部材を有し、
前記アクチュエータの端部は、接着剤を介して前記パッドに固定されており、
前記配線部材は、前記パッドと前記壁外部材との間において、壁部を有し、
前記壁部は、前記メタルベースからの高さが前記パッドよりも高いことを特徴とする、フレキシャ。 - 前記壁外部材は、前記スライダの搭載位置の基準になる基準孔である、請求項1に記載のフレキシャ。
- 前記壁外部材は、前記スライダに電気的に接続される接続端子である、請求項1に記載のフレキシャ。
- 前記カバー絶縁層は、第1カバー絶縁層と、該第1カバー絶縁層の上に形成された第2カバー絶縁層と、を含み、
前記壁部は、前記第2カバー絶縁層の少なくとも一部を備えている、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載のフレキシャ。 - 前記パッドと前記壁部との間に形成された前記ベース絶縁層は、前記壁部に形成された該ベース絶縁層よりも前記メタルベースからの高さが低い、請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載のフレキシャ。
- 前記パッドと前記壁部との間には、前記ベース絶縁層が形成されていない、請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載のフレキシャ。
- 前記パッドに形成された前記ベース絶縁層は、前記壁部に形成された該ベース絶縁層よりも前記メタルベースからの高さが低い、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載のフレキシャ。
- 前記配線部材は、前記パッドと前記壁部との間に区画された貯留領域と、前記タング部の外縁のうちの少なくとも前記貯留領域を臨む部位に形成された囲繞部と、をさらに有している、請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載のフレキシャ。
