接地補助部材10の斜面部11の先端部と、つなぎ部12の脚部12a,12bの下部には軟質材、例えばゴム材からなる接地部材11a,112a,112bを取り付けてある。
これにより、図1に示すように接地補助部材10の斜面部11が、主スロープ部材2の下側端部4から延設された効果と、つなぎ部12による下側端部4の嵩上げにより、主スロープ部材2の傾斜角が緩くなる効果により、車椅子1のフットレスト1bの取付部1cがスロープ面に干渉することなく、車輪1aがスロープ面に沿って乗り上がる。
本実施例では、つなぎ部12の上面が略水平になっているが、このつなぎ部12は斜面部11よりも緩やかな緩斜面になっていてもよい。
この際に、連結部13を軟質材としたことにより、主スロープ部材2の傾斜角のバラツキを吸収できる。
このような接地補助部材10は、各種スロープ部材に連結したまま持ち運ぶこともできる。
