Description
a) ガス透過性の隔壁によって分離された複数の長手方向の流路を有する多孔質モノリス基材を提供する工程であって、該モノリス基材は、第一の端面および該第一の端面からある距離にある第二の端面を有する、工程;
b) 該ガス透過性の隔壁の細孔容積に少なくとも相当する量のゾル溶液を容器中に提供する工程であって、該ゾル溶液は、水溶性またはコロイドの、一つまたは二つ以上の触媒活性化合物の前駆体、および水溶性またはコロイドの、一つまたは二つ以上の金属酸化物触媒担体化合物の前駆体を含有し、該一つまたは二つ以上の前駆体の少なくとも一つはコロイドであり、かつ、一つまたは二つ以上の前駆体の少なくとも一つは水溶性である、工程、
c) 前記第一または第二の端面を該ゾル溶液に浸漬した状態でモノリス基材を実質的に垂直に容器内に置く工程、
d) 前記透過性の隔壁の前記ゾル溶液に浸漬された端面から所定距離まで真空または圧力を印加することなく、該ゾル溶液中に浸漬された端面から、透過性の隔壁の細孔内に毛細管力のみでゾルを吸い上げる工程、
e) 続いて、モノリス基材を反転させ、そして、反対側の端面をゾル溶液に浸漬した状態でモノリス基材を容器内に実質的に垂直に置く工程;
f) 真空または圧力を加えることなく、ゾル液中に浸漬された反対側の端面から、透過性の隔壁の細孔内に毛細管力のみによってゾルを吸い上げる工程、および
g) そうしてコーティングされたモノリス基材を乾燥させてか焼する工程、
を含む、上記の方法を提供する。
Claims (13)
- 触媒されたモノリスの製造方法であって、次の、
a) ガス透過性の隔壁によって分離された複数の長手方向の流路を有する多孔質モノリス基材を提供する工程であって、該モノリス基材は、第一の端面および該第一の端面からある距離にある第二の端面を有する、工程;
b) 該ガス透過性の隔壁の細孔容積に少なくとも相当する量のゾル溶液を容器中に提供する工程であって、該ゾル溶液は、水溶性またはコロイドの、一つまたは二つ以上の触媒活性化合物の前駆体、および水溶性またはコロイドの、一つまたは二つ以上の金属酸化物触媒担体化合物の前駆体を含有し、該一つまたは二つ以上の前駆体の少なくとも一つはコロイドであり、かつ、一つまたは二つ以上の前駆体の少なくとも一つは水溶性である、工程、
c) 前記第一または第二の端面を該ゾル溶液に浸漬した状態でモノリス基材を垂直に容器内に置く工程、
d) 前記透過性の隔壁の前記ゾル溶液に浸漬された端面から所定距離まで真空または圧力を印加することなく、該ゾル溶液中に浸漬された端面から、透過性の隔壁の細孔内に毛細管力のみによってゾルを吸い上げる工程、
e) 続いて、モノリス基材を反転させ、そして、反対側の端面をゾル溶液に浸漬した状態でモノリス基材を容器内に垂直に置く工程;
f) 真空または圧力を加えることなく、ゾル液中に浸漬された反対側の端面から、透過性の隔壁の細孔内に毛細管力のみによってゾルを吸い上げる工程、および
g) そうしてコーティングされたモノリス基材を乾燥させてか焼する工程、
を含む、上記の方法。 - 前記所定の距離が、端面間の全距離の半分である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記所定の距離が、容器内のゾル溶液の量の半分に相当する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ゾル溶液の吸い上げが、15〜30℃の温度で行われる、請求項1〜3のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- モノリス基材がウォールフローフィルターである、請求項1〜4のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 水溶性またはコロイドの、一つまたは二つ以上の触媒活性化合物の前駆体が、パラジウム、白金、ロジウム、バナジウム、モリブデン、タングステンおよびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1〜5のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 水溶性またはコロイドの、一つまたは二つ以上の金属酸化物触媒担体化合物の前駆体が、アルミニウム、チタン、セリウム、ジルコニウム、シリコンおよびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1〜6のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 多孔質モノリス基材が金属またはセラミックである、請求項1〜7のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 多孔質モノリス基材が、コージェライト、チタン酸アルミニウム、ムライトまたは炭化ケイ素である、請求項1〜7のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 水溶性またはコロイドの、一つまたは二つ以上の触媒活性化合物の前駆体および水溶性またはコロイドの、一つまたは二つ以上の金属酸化物触媒担体化合物の前駆体の粒度が、1〜1000nmである、請求項1〜9のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- コロイドの前駆体の粒度が1〜100nmである、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 工程d、eおよびfが、一回または二回以上繰り返される、請求項1〜11のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 工程における乾燥がマイクロ波の適用によって行われる、請求項1〜12のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
