Claims (12)
- 表示光束を受けるための光導波素子であって、
前記光導波素子は入光部及び出光部を含み、
前記入光部は、
第一導光層と、
前記第一導光層の上面に、底面が接続される第二導光層と、
前記第一導光層又は前記第二導光層の上面又は底面に、底面又は上面が接続される少なくとも一つの第三導光層とを含み、
前記第一導光層及び前記第二導光層の一端側の側壁面からなる入光面が共同で第一斜面を構成し、かつ、前記第一導光層及び前記第二導光層の他端側の側壁面からなる出光面が共同で第二斜面を構成し、前記第一斜面及び前記第二斜面がそれぞれ前記第一導光層の底面に対し傾斜して接続され、
前記出光部は前記第二斜面に接続され、かつ、前記出光部の厚さが前記第一導光層、前記第二導光層及び前記少なくとも一つの第三導光層の合計厚さより小さく、
前記表示光束は前記入光部を経由して前記光導波素子に入り、かつ前記出光部を経由して表示領域まで伝送されることを特徴とする光導波素子。 - 前記出光部はその中に位置する複数のビームスプリッターを有し、前記複数のビームスプリッターが互いに平行かつ間隔を空けて配列されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光導波素子。
- 前記第一導光層は、前記第二導光層と前記少なくとも一つの第三導光層との間に位置することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光導波素子。
- 前記第一導光層と前記第二導光層との間に第一界面を有し、前記少なくとも一つの第三導光層とそれに接続する前記第一導光層又は前記第二導光層との間に第二界面を有し、前記第一界面が前記第二界面と平行し、
前記光導波素子はさらに、
前記第一界面に設置された第一部分透過部分反射層と、
前記第二界面に設置された第二部分透過部分反射層とを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光導波素子。 - 前記第一部分透過部分反射層と前記第二部分透過部分反射層の光透過率が異なることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の光導波素子。
- 前記第一導光層、前記第二導光層及び前記出光部の屈折率が同じく、かつ前記第一導光層、前記第二導光層及び前記出光部の屈折率がそれぞれ前記少なくとも一つの第三導光層の屈折率以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光導波素子。
- 前記出光部はその中に位置する複数のビームスプリッターを有し、前記複数のビームスプリッターが互いに平行かつ間隔を空けて配列され、
前記出光部の底面が前記第二斜面及び前記第一導光層の底面に接続され、
前記出光部の底面と前記第二斜面の接続部と、前記第二斜面に最も近いビームスプリッターの前記出光部の底面における正投影との間の距離が0以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光導波素子。 - 前記少なくとも一つの第三導光層の第一側壁面と前記第一斜面が同一平面にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光導波素子。
- 前記少なくとも一つの第三導光層の第二側壁面と前記第二斜面が同一平面にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光導波素子。
- 前記少なくとも一つの第三導光層の第一側壁面及び第二側壁面のうち少なくとも一つに反射層又は吸光層が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光導波素子。
- 前記少なくとも一つの第三導光層の第一側壁面及び第二側壁面のうち少なくとも一つがつや消し面であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光導波素子。
- 表示装置であって、
請求項1に記載の光導波素子と、
前記第一斜面の傍に設置された表示光源とを含み、
前記表示光源が前記表示光束を発することを特徴とする表示装置。
