Description
図1から図5を参照して本実施形態を説明する。以降の説明では、図1から図5におけるX方向を前方、Y方向を右方、Z方向を上方とする。本実施形態の端子カバー10は、車両のバッテリーに接続される端子金具12を保護するためのカバーであって、樹脂により形成されており、箱状の本体部14及び蓋部16、を備える。
本明細書によって開示される技術は上記記述及び図面によって説明した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、例えば次のような種々の態様も含まれる。
(1)上記実施形態では、端子カバー10の押さえ部34は、内壁32A、32Bの中央部から斜め上方向に突出する第1板部36Aと、内壁32A、32Bの中央部から斜め下方向に突出する第2板部36Bと、から構成されていることとしたが、図6に示すように、端子カバー10Aの第1板部36Cは、内壁32A、32Bの上方部から斜め下方向に突出し、第2板部36Dは、内壁32A、32Bの下方部から斜め上方向に突出する構成としても良い。
(2)上記実施形態では、押さえ部34は、内壁32A、32Bの中央部から斜め上方向に突出する第1板部36Aと、内壁32A、32Bの中央部から斜め下方向に突出する第2板部36Bと、から構成されていることとしたが、第1板部又は第2板部のいずれか一方のみ設けられる構成としても良い。また、第1板部及び第2板部は、いずれも斜め上方向に傾斜する構成としても良いし、いずれも斜め下方向に傾斜する構成としても良い。
(3)上記実施形態のバレル部18と異なる形状、大きさのバレル部についても、第1板部及び第2板部の突出方向の長さ、及び、内壁と押さえ部との間の角度等を調整することで、上記実施形態と同様に適用することができる。

Claims (3)
- 電線の端末部に圧着され、バレル部を有する端子金具を保護するための端子カバーであって、
開口を有し、前記バレル部が前記開口から収容される収容部と、
前記収容部の前記開口を覆蓋する蓋部と、
前記収容部の内壁のうち、前記開口の軸線方向、及び、前記電線の延在方向の双方と交差する方向に対向する一方の内壁、及び、他方の内壁から、前記バレル部に向けて斜めに突出し、前記バレル部の両側部にそれぞれ弾性的に接触する板状の一対の押さえ部と、を備え、
前記押さえ部の突出方向の端部は、前記開口側に向けて傾斜するテーパー部とされており、一対の前記押さえ部の前記テーパー部が前記バレル部の両側部に弾性的に接触し、一対の前記押さえ部の反力により、前記バレル部は、前記開口側に押され、前記蓋部と前記一対の押さえ部との間に挟まれる端子カバー。 - 前記テーパー部は、前記開口に近い側に位置する第1テーパー部と、前記開口から遠い側に位置する第2テーパー部と、を備え、前記第1テーパー部の傾斜は、前記第2テーパー部の傾斜よりも緩やかな傾斜となっている請求項1に記載の端子カバー。
- 前記押さえ部は、
前記延在方向の一方側に向かう斜め方向に突出し、前記バレル部の側部に弾性的に接触する板状の第1板部と、
前記延在方向の他方側に向かう斜め方向に突出し、前記バレル部の側部に弾性的に接触する板状の第2板部と、を備える請求項1又は請求項2に記載の端子カバー。
