吸音体2は、ポリエステル繊維不織布を矩形の板状に形成した母材21と、母材21の少なくとも音響入射側にポリエステル繊維スパンボンド不織布からなる表面材22を熱融着して一体とした複合吸音体であり(図5)、優れた吸音性能を発揮する。また、表面材22には撥水処理を施すことにより、母材21の保護材にもなる。表面材22は、母材21の音響入射側に限らず、表面全面に設けてもよい。
吸音体2の構成素材であるポリエステル繊維不織布は、軽量で優れた吸音性能を有し、リサイクルができるため地球環境に優しく、また、耐候性、耐久性、耐水性、耐薬品性にも優れ、長期的に安定して使用できる材料である。
吸音体2は、立設したFRP壁材1のうち、一枚のFRP壁材1に並列するリブ12間や、二枚並べて立設したFRP壁材1のそれぞれのリブ12間に配置する。
吸音体2の大きさは、高さ方向はFRP壁材1の高さよりも短くし、幅方向は、並列したリブ12の間隔と略同一とし、奥行き方向は、突設するリブ12の高さよりも短くする。

The sound absorbing body 2 is arranged between the ribs 12 arranged in parallel with one FRP wall material 1 among the standing FRP wall materials 1 and between the ribs 12 of the two FRP wall materials 1 standing side by side.

吸音体2は壁面材のリブ12間に配置し、また、側辺部分を側部押さえ材15により押さえるのみであり、露出部分が大きく、防音性能が高い防音壁となる。

<4>上蓋
吸音体2は母材21の表面に撥水処理を施した表面材22を熱融着したポリエステル繊維系吸音材であるため、耐水性は保有するが、万が一水が内部に入りこむと水がしばらく保持される可能性がある。
このため、吸音体2を構成するポリエステル繊維の配向方向を一方向とし、配向方向をFRP壁材1に設置した際の高さ方向とすることにより、内部に入りこんだ水が繊維に沿って下方に流れ落ちやすくなるという特色が発揮され、速やかに排水される。
また、並列したFRP壁材1の上端には、上蓋16を設ける。
上蓋16は、並列したリブ12の上端間に渡設し、リブ12の上端に突設した上蓋支持材161に固定する。上蓋16と上蓋支持材161はFRP壁材1と同じくFRP製又はGFRP製とし、リベットを介して上蓋16と上蓋支持材161を固定するのが好適である。
上蓋16で吸音体2の上方を覆うことにより、吸音体2の内部に水が浸入するのを防止できる。

表面押さえ材17と裏支持材171はFRP壁材1と同じくFRP製又はGFRP製とし、リベットを介してそれぞれ固定するのが好適である。
