(2) 前記内側コア及び前記バンド上に編組体をオーバーレイする工程を更に含む、実施態様1に記載の方法。
(3) 前記編組体上に第3の溶融ポリマーを共押出しして、前記編組体、前記バンド及び前記内側コアを封入する可撓性ジャケットを形成する工程を更に含む、実施態様2に記載の方法。
(4) 前記共押出しする工程を実施する間に、前記第3の溶融ポリマーの第1の組成物を前記第3の溶融ポリマーの第2の組成物へと変えて、シャフトの近位セグメントと、遠位セグメントと、それらの間の移行セグメントとを画定する工程を更に含み、前記近位セグメントは前記遠位セグメントよりも剛性が高い、実施態様3に記載の方法。
(5) 前記近位セグメントにおいて前記編組体が第1の構成を有し、前記遠位セグメントにおいて前記編組体が第2の構成を有し、前記移行セグメントにおいて前記編組体が前記第1の構成と前記第2の構成との間を移行し、前記第1の構成が前記第2の構成と比べて前記シャフトの屈曲に対するより高い抵抗性を提供する、実施態様4に記載の方法。
(7) 前記第3の溶融ポリマーがカラーコンセントレートを含む、実施態様3に記載の方法。
(8) 前記第1の溶融ポリマーがポリアミドを含む、実施態様1に記載の方法。
(9) 固体状態で前記第1の溶融ポリマーが前記第2の溶融ポリマーよりも高いデュロメータを有する、実施態様1に記載の方法。
(10) 前記内側コアが、これを貫通して形成された2つのルーメンを有し、前記ルーメンが、前記バンドを通る直径に垂直な前記内側コアの直径上に整列しており、コアワイヤを受け入れるよう寸法設定されている、実施態様1に記載の方法。
前記内側コア及び前記バンド上に編組体をオーバーレイする工程と、
前記編組体上に第3の溶融ポリマーを共押出しして、前記編組体、前記バンド及び前記内側コアを封入する可撓性ジャケットを形成する工程と、を含む方法によって作製されたカテーテルシャフトを備える、装置。
(12) 前記第1の溶融ポリマーがポリアミドを含む、実施態様11に記載の装置。
(13) 前記第3の溶融ポリマーがポリエーテルブロックアミド及び硫酸バリウムを含む、実施態様11に記載の装置。
(14) 前記第1のポリマーが前記第2のポリマーよりも高いデュロメータを有する、実施態様11に記載の装置。
(15) 前記第3の溶融ポリマーがカラーコンセントレートを更に含む、実施態様13に記載の装置。
(17) 前記編組体が前記近位セグメントにおける第1の構成と、前記遠位セグメントにおける第2の構成とを有し、前記移行セグメントにおいて前記編組体が前記第1の構成と前記第2の構成との間を移行し、前記第1の構成が前記第2の構成と比べて前記シャフトの屈曲に対するより高い抵抗性を提供する、実施態様16に記載の装置。
(18) 前記内側コアが、これを貫通して形成された2つのルーメンを有し、前記ルーメンが、前記バンドを通る直径に垂直な前記内側コアの直径上に整列しており、コアワイヤを受け入れるよう寸法設定されている、実施態様11に記載の装置。
Claims (16)
- 第1の溶融ポリマーを第2の溶融ポリマーと共押出しする工程を含む、カテーテルシャフトを形成するための方法であって、前記第2の溶融ポリマーが可撓性の内側コアを形成し、前記第1の溶融ポリマーが前記内側コアの両側に2つのバンドを形成し、前記バンドは前記内側コアよりも剛性が高く、
前記方法は、前記内側コア及び前記バンド上に編組体をオーバーレイする工程を更に含み、
前記方法は、前記編組体上に第3の溶融ポリマーを共押出しして、前記編組体、前記バンド及び前記内側コアを封入する可撓性ジャケットを形成する工程を更に含み、
前記方法は、前記共押出しする工程を実施する間に、前記第3の溶融ポリマーの第1の組成物を前記第3の溶融ポリマーの第2の組成物へと変えて、シャフトの近位セグメントと、遠位セグメントと、それらの間の移行セグメントとを画定する工程を更に含み、前記近位セグメントは前記遠位セグメントよりも剛性が高く、
前記近位セグメントにおいて前記編組体が第1の構成を有し、前記遠位セグメントにおいて前記編組体が第2の構成を有し、前記移行セグメントにおいて前記編組体が前記第1の構成と前記第2の構成との間を移行し、前記第1の構成が前記第2の構成と比べて前記シャフトの屈曲に対するより高い抵抗性を提供し、
前記編組体は、交差編組構造で編み込まれたワイヤであり、前記遠位セグメントにおいて前記ワイヤの編組角度が前記近位セグメントと比較して増加して、前記ワイヤの密度が前記近位セグメントと比較して増加している、方法。 - 前記遠位セグメントではトルクを犠牲にしながらも軸方向において柔軟になっており、
前記バンドによって選択的方向性のある剛性がもたらされる、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記近位セグメント及び前記遠位セグメントの両方がカテーテル軸線の周りの回転トルクを前記カテーテルシャフトの遠位先端に伝えるため、操作者は前記カテーテルシャフトを所望のとおりに回転させることができる、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記第3の溶融ポリマーがポリエーテルブロックアミド及び硫酸バリウムを含む、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記第3の溶融ポリマーがカラーコンセントレートを含む、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の溶融ポリマーがポリアミドを含む、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 固体状態で前記第1の溶融ポリマーが前記第2の溶融ポリマーよりも高いデュロメータを有する、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記内側コアが、これを貫通して形成された2つのルーメンを有し、前記ルーメンが、前記バンドを通る直径に垂直な前記内側コアの直径上に整列しており、コアワイヤを受け入れるよう寸法設定されている、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 装置であって、
カテーテルシャフトであって、第2の溶融ポリマーにより形成された可撓性の内側コアと、前記内側コアの両側に第1の溶融ポリマーにより形成された2つのバンドとを備え、前記バンドは前記内側コアよりも剛性が高く、
前記内側コア及び前記バンド上に編組体がオーバーレイされており、
前記編組体上に第3の溶融ポリマーが形成され、前記編組体、前記バンド及び前記内側コアを封入する可撓性ジャケットを形成されているカテーテルシャフトを備え、
前記カテーテルシャフトは、前記第3の溶融ポリマーの第1の組成物を含む、前記カテーテルシャフトの近位セグメントと、前記第3の溶融ポリマーの第2の組成物を含む、前記カテーテルシャフトの遠位セグメントと、それらの間の移行セグメントとを更に含み、前記近位セグメントは前記遠位セグメントよりも剛性が高く、
前記編組体が前記近位セグメントにおける第1の構成と、前記遠位セグメントにおける第2の構成とを有し、前記移行セグメントにおいて前記編組体が前記第1の構成と前記第2の構成との間を移行し、前記第1の構成が前記第2の構成と比べて前記カテーテルシャフトの屈曲に対するより高い抵抗性を提供し、
前記編組体は、交差編組構造で編み込まれたワイヤであり、前記遠位セグメントにおいて前記ワイヤの編組角度が前記近位セグメントと比較して増加して、前記ワイヤの密度が前記近位セグメントと比較して増加している、装置。 - 前記遠位セグメントではトルクを犠牲にしながらも軸方向において柔軟になっており、
前記バンドによって選択的方向性のある剛性がもたらされている、請求項9に記載の装置。 - 前記近位セグメント及び前記遠位セグメントの両方がカテーテル軸線の周りの回転トルクを前記カテーテルシャフトの遠位先端に伝えるため、操作者は前記カテーテルシャフトを所望のとおりに回転させることができる、請求項10に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の溶融ポリマーがポリアミドを含む、請求項9~11のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記第3の溶融ポリマーがポリエーテルブロックアミド及び硫酸バリウムを含む、請求項9~12のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の溶融ポリマーが前記第2の溶融ポリマーよりも高いデュロメータを有する、請求項9~13のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記第3の溶融ポリマーがカラーコンセントレートを更に含む、請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記内側コアが、これを貫通して形成された2つのルーメンを有し、前記ルーメンが、前記バンドを通る直径に垂直な前記内側コアの直径上に整列しており、コアワイヤを受け入れるよう寸法設定されている、請求項9~15のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
