水性ブラック顔料インクと、水性イエロー染料インクと、水性マゼンタ染料インクと、水性染料シアンインクと、処理剤と、を含み、
前記水性ブラック顔料インクは、カーボンブラックと、水と、を含み、
前記水性イエロー染料インクは、イエロー染料と、水と、を含み、
前記水性マゼンタ染料インクは、マゼンタ染料と、水と、を含み、
前記水性シアンインクは、シアン染料と、水と、を含み、
前記処理剤は、カチオン性ポリマーエマルションを含む、
ことを特徴とする。
本発明のセットについて説明する。本発明のセットは、水性ブラック顔料インクと、水性イエロー染料インクと、水性マゼンタ染料インクと、水性シアン染料インクと、処理剤と、を含む。
前記水性ブラック顔料インクは、カーボンブラックと、水と、を含む。
前記水性イエロー染料インクは、イエロー染料と、水と、を含む。
前記水性マゼンタ染料インクは、マゼンタ染料と、水と、を含む。
前記水性シアン染料インクは、シアン染料と、水と、を含む。
つぎに、前記処理剤について説明する。前記処理剤は、カチオン性ポリマーエマルションを含む。
R1~R4は、それぞれ、炭素原子数1~30の炭化水素基であり、R1~R4は互いに同一でも異なっていてもよく、
X-は、アニオンである。
つぎに、本発明の処理剤について説明する。本発明の処理剤は、本発明のセットに用いる処理剤であって、カチオン性ポリマーエマルションを含むことを特徴とする。本発明の処理剤は、前述の本発明のセットにおける処理剤と同様であり、その説明を援用できる。
つぎに、本発明の記録方法について説明する。
本発明のセットを用いて、布帛に記録する記録方法であって、
前記布帛に前記処理剤を付与する処理剤付与工程と、
前記処理剤の付与部に、前記水性ブラック顔料インク、前記水性イエロー染料インク、前記水性マゼンタ染料インク及び前記水性シアンインクをインクジェット方式により吐出してコンポジットブラックを形成するコンポジットブラック形成工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする。
つぎに、本発明のコンポジットブラックについて説明する。本発明のコンポジットブラックは、本発明の記録方法により、布帛上に形成されたことを特徴とする。
つぎに、本発明のインクメディアセットについて説明する。本発明のインクメディアセットは、本発明のセットと、布帛と、を含むことを特徴とする。
水性インク組成(表1)における、顔料を除く成分を、均一に混合しインク溶媒を得た。つぎに、前記顔料に、前記インク溶媒を加え、均一に混合した。その後、得られた混合物を、東洋濾紙(株)製のセルロールアセテートタイプメンブレンフィルタ(孔径3.00μm)でろ過することで、表1に示すインクジェット記録用水性ブラック顔料インクBk1、インクジェット記録用水性イエロー顔料インクY1、インクジェット記録用水性マゼンタ顔料インクM1及びインクジェット記録用水性シアン顔料インクC1を得た。
水性インク組成(表2)の各成分を、均一に混合した。その後、得られた混合物を、東洋濾紙(株)製のポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)タイプメンブレンフィルタ(孔径:0.20μm)を用いてろ過することで、インクジェット記録用水性ブラック染料インクBk2、インクジェット記録用水性イエロー染料インクY2、インクジェット記録用水性マゼンタ染料インクM2及びインクジェット記録用水性シアン染料インクC2を得た。
〔処理剤の調製〕
処理剤組成(表3)の各成分を、均一に混合して、実施例1~9及び比較例1~5のセットを構成する処理剤を得た。
平面サイズが15cm×5cmの布帛(綿(シーチング))に、実施例及び比較例のセットを構成する処理剤約1gを、スプレー方式により均一に付与した。前記処理剤付与後の布帛に、210℃を上限とした高温(180℃~210℃)に設定したアイロンを2分間かけて乾燥させた。つぎに、ブラザー工業(株)のインクジェットプリンタ搭載デジタル複合機DCP-J4225Nを使用して、実施例及び比較例のセットを構成する水性ブラックインク、水性イエローインク、水性マゼンタインク及び水性シアンインクを用いて、コンポジットブラックを形成した。コンポジットブラック形成後の前記布帛を、水の中で前記布帛の一部が他の部分と擦れることがない程度に振りながら5分間水洗した。水洗後、乾燥して得られた前記布帛の記録面の記録部分のL*、a*及びb*を、Gretag Macbeth社製の分光測色計Spectrolino(測定視野:2°;白色基準:Abs(絶対白色);光源:D50;濃度基準:ANSI T)により測定した。これらの数値は、1976年に国際照明委員会(CIE)で規格化されたL*a*b*表色系(CIE1976(L*a*b*)表色系)に基づくものである(JIS Z 8729参照)。このa*値及びb*値から、下記式により彩度C*を算出した。前記布帛の水洗前後での彩度(C*)の差(ΔC*=水洗後のC*-水洗前のC*)を算出し、下記評価基準に従って評価した。実施例9においては、前記布帛としてポリエステル(ツイル)を用い、前記アイロンの温度を160℃を上限とした中温(140℃~160℃)とした以外は、同様にして、耐水性を評価した。

C:前記ΔC*が、1.5以上
(a)耐水性評価と同様にして作製した水洗前の前記布帛のコンポジットブラック形成部分を綿棒で擦ったときに前記綿棒に付着するインク量を目視で観察し、下記評価基準に従って評価した。
A:綿棒の擦過表面部において、水性インクの付着が見られない、又は約10%未満の面積に水性インクの付着が見られた
B:綿棒の擦過表面部において、水性インクの付着が見られ、付着面積が約10%~30%未満であった
C:綿棒の擦過表面部において、水性インクの付着が見られ、付着面積が約30%以上であった
10人の被験者が、(a)耐水性評価と同様にして作製した水洗前の前記布帛と、処理剤の付与及びコンポジットブラックの形成を行っていない元の綿(実施例9においては、処理剤の付与及びコンポジットブラックの形成を行っていない元のポリエステル)と、を指で触り、前記布帛が、前記元の綿(実施例9においては、前記元のポリエステル)と比べ、手触りが硬くなったと感じた人数を集計し、下記評価基準に従って評価した。
AA:前記布帛の手触りが硬くなったと感じた人数が、10人中1人以下
A :前記布帛の手触りが硬くなったと感じた人数が、2人~4人
B :前記布帛の手触りが硬くなったと感じた人数が、5人以上

Claims (14)
- 水性ブラック顔料インクと、水性イエロー染料インクと、水性マゼンタ染料インクと、水性シアン染料インクと、処理剤と、を含み、
前記水性ブラック顔料インクは、カーボンブラックと、水と、を含み、
前記水性イエロー染料インクは、イエロー染料と、水と、を含み、
前記水性マゼンタ染料インクは、マゼンタ染料と、水と、を含み、
前記水性シアン染料インクは、シアン染料と、水と、を含み、
前記処理剤は、カチオン性ポリマーエマルションを含み、
25℃における前記処理剤の粘度が、20mPa・s以下である、
ことを特徴とするセット。 - 前記処理剤全量における前記カチオン性ポリマーエマルションの固形分含有量が、2.5質量%~20質量%である、請求項1記載のセット。
- 前記処理剤全量における前記カチオン性ポリマーエマルションの固形分含有量が、2.5質量%~10質量%である、請求項2記載のセット。
- 前記カチオン性ポリマーエマルションが、ウレタン構造を含む、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載のセット。
- 前記ウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーエマルションが、前記ウレタン構造以外の部分に、アクリル構造を含む、請求項4記載のセット。
- 前記ウレタン構造が、エステル系のウレタン構造である、請求項4又は5記載のセット。
- 前記カーボンブラックの平均粒子径が、130nm以下である、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載のセット。
- 前記処理剤が、さらに、湿潤剤を含む、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載のセット。
- 前記湿潤剤が、多価アルコールを含む、請求項8記載のセット。
- 前記処理剤が、ノニオン性界面活性剤及びカチオン性界面活性剤の少なくとも一方を含む、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載のセット。
- 布帛に記録する記録方法であって、
前記布帛にカチオン性ポリマーエマルションを含む処理剤を付与する処理剤付与工程と、
前記処理剤の付与部に、カーボンブラックと水とを含む水性ブラック顔料インク、イエロー染料と水とを含む水性イエロー染料インク、マゼンタ染料と水とを含む水性マゼンタ染料インク及びシアン染料と水とを含む水性シアン染料インクをインクジェット方式により吐出してコンポジットブラックを形成するコンポジットブラック形成工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする記録方法。 - 請求項1~10のいずれか一項に記載のセットを用いて、布帛に記録する記録方法であって、
前記布帛に前記処理剤を付与する処理剤付与工程と、
前記処理剤の付与部に、前記水性ブラック顔料インク、前記水性イエロー染料インク、前記水性マゼンタ染料インク及び前記水性シアン染料インクをインクジェット方式により吐出してコンポジットブラックを形成するコンポジットブラック形成工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする記録方法。 - さらに、前記布帛を水で洗浄する洗浄工程を含み、
前記洗浄工程を、前記コンポジットブラック形成工程の後に実施する、請求項11又は12記載の記録方法。 - 前記処理剤付与工程において、前記布帛の面積あたりの前記処理剤の付与量が、4.7mg/cm2~50mg/cm2である、請求項11~13のいずれか一項に記載の記録方法。
