Description
図1は、本発明が適用された硬質被膜被覆部材の一例であるボールエンドミル10を説明する正面図で、図2は先端側から見た拡大底面図である。このボールエンドミル10は、超硬合金にて構成されている工具母材12(図3~図8参照)を備えており、工具母材12には、シャンク14および刃部16が一体に設けられている。刃部16には、外周刃18およびボール刃20から成る切れ刃が軸心に対して対称的に一対設けられており、軸心まわりに回転駆動されることにより、それ等の外周刃18およびボール刃20によって断続的に切削加工が行われる。外周刃18およびボール刃20は滑らかに連続するように設けられているとともに、それ等の外周刃18およびボール刃20を挟んで両側にすくい面22および逃げ面(二番面)24が設けられている。言い換えれば、すくい面22および逃げ面24が交差する稜線部分に外周刃18およびボール刃20が設けられている。ボールエンドミル10は硬質被膜被覆工具で、断続切削工具に相当する。
《切削試験条件》
・被削材:S50C(JISの規定による機械構造用炭素鋼)
・切削速度:254m/min
・回転速度:13500min-1
・送り速度:f=0.12mm/t、F=3240mm/min
・切込み:ap(軸方向)=0.3mm、ae(径方向)=0.6mm
Claims (7)
- 母材の表面を被覆するように該表面に付着される硬質被膜であって、
前記硬質被膜は、A組成、B組成、およびC組成の中の何れか2つの組成から成る2種類の単一組成層と、前記A組成、前記B組成、および前記C組成の中の何れか2つの組成から成る2種類のナノレイヤー層を交互に積層したナノレイヤー交互層との、計3種類の層が予め定められた順番で1周期以上積層されて、総膜厚が0.5~20μmの範囲内となるように構成されており、
前記A組成は、組成式がAla Crb αc 〔但し、a、b、cはそれぞれ原子比で、0.30≦a≦0.85、0.15≦b≦0.70、0≦c≦0.10、且つa+b+c=1であり、任意添加成分αはB、C、Ti、V、Y、Zr、Nb、Mo、Hf、Ta、およびWより選ばれる1種以上の元素である〕の窒化物で、
前記B組成は、組成式がAld Cre Sif βg 〔但し、d、e、f、gはそれぞれ原子比で、0.20≦d≦0.85、0.10≦e≦0.50、0.03≦f≦0.45、0≦g≦0.10、且つd+e+f+g=1であり、任意添加成分βはB、C、Ti、V、Y、Zr、Nb、Mo、Hf、Ta、およびWより選ばれる1種以上の元素である〕の窒化物で、
前記C組成は、組成式がAlh Cri (SiC)j γk 〔但し、h、i、j、kはそれぞれ原子比で、0.20≦h≦0.85、0.10≦i≦0.50、0.03≦j≦0.45、0≦k≦0.10、且つh+i+j+k=1であり、任意添加成分γはB、C、Ti、V、Y、Zr、Nb、Mo、Hf、Ta、およびWより選ばれる1種以上の元素である〕の窒化物であり、
前記2種類の単一組成層の膜厚は、何れも0.5~1000nmの範囲内であり、
前記ナノレイヤー交互層を構成している前記2種類のナノレイヤー層の各膜厚は、何れも0.5~500nmの範囲内で、前記ナノレイヤー交互層の膜厚は1~1000nmの範囲内である
ことを特徴とする硬質被膜。 - 前記2種類の単一組成層の各膜厚T1、T2と、前記ナノレイヤー交互層の膜厚T3との比T1/T3、T2/T3は、何れも0.2~10の範囲内である
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の硬質被膜。 - 前記予め定められた順番で1周期以上積層された前記2種類の単一組成層および前記ナノレイヤー交互層の最下部の層が前記母材の表面に直接設けられている
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の硬質被膜。 - 前記硬質被膜は、前記母材との間に界面層を備えており、
前記界面層は、
前記A組成、前記B組成、および前記C組成の中の何れか1つの組成から成る単一組成層、
前記A組成、前記B組成、および前記C組成の中の何れか2つの組成から成り、それぞれ膜厚が0.5~500nmの範囲内の2種類のナノレイヤー層を交互に積層したナノレイヤー交互層、
およびB、Al、Ti、Y、Zr、Hf、V、Nb、Ta、Cr、およびWの中の1種類以上の元素から成る金属の窒化物、炭窒化物、または炭化物の層、
の計3種類の層の中の何れか1つの層にて構成されており、
前記界面層の膜厚は10~1000nmの範囲内である
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の硬質被膜。 - 前記硬質被膜は、最表面に表面層を備えており、
前記表面層は、前記A組成、前記B組成、および前記C組成の中の何れか1つの組成から成る単一組成層、または前記A組成、前記B組成、および前記C組成の中の何れか2つの組成から成り、それぞれ膜厚が0.5~500nmの範囲内の2種類のナノレイヤー層を交互に積層したナノレイヤー交互層にて構成されており、
前記表面層の膜厚は5~1000nmの範囲内である
ことを特徴とする請求項1~4の何れか1項に記載の硬質被膜。 - 母材の表面の一部または全部が硬質被膜によって被覆されている硬質被膜被覆部材であって、
前記硬質被膜は請求項1~5の何れか1項に記載の硬質被膜である
ことを特徴とする硬質被膜被覆部材。 - 前記硬質被膜被覆部材は、軸心まわりに回転させられるとともに、該回転に伴って切れ刃が断続的に切削加工を行う断続切削工具である
ことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の硬質被膜被覆部材。
