Description
Claims (18)
- ビークル用の複合材ストリンガーを製造する方法であって、
第1及び第2成形ブロックの間に形成されたダイキャビティに、第1及び第2装填材を配置し、
第1パンチプレートを前記ダイキャビティ内に挿入し、前記第1装填材の第1端部を前記第1成形ブロックに沿って前記ダイキャビティ内に押し込み、
第2パンチプレートを前記ダイキャビティ内に挿入し、前記第2装填材の第1端部を前記第2成形ブロックに沿って前記ダイキャビティ内に押し込み、
前記第1端部同士が非整列である場合、前記第1パンチプレートを前記第2パンチプレートに対して移動させて、前記第1装填材を前記第1成形ブロックに対して移動させることにより、前記第1及び第2装填材の前記第1端部同士を前記ダイキャビティ内で整列させ、
前記第1端部同士が前記ダイキャビティ内で整列すると、前記第1及び第2装填材の第2端部にフランジを形成し、
前記第1及び第2パンチプレートを前記ダイキャビティから取り出し、
前記第1及び第2装填材を、前記第1及び第2成形ブロックの間で圧縮する、方法。 - さらに、前記第1装填材を前記第1パンチプレートに接着させることにより、前記第1装填材と前記第1パンチプレートとの相対移動を防止し、前記第1装填材の前記第1端部を前記ダイキャビティ内に押し込む際に、前記第1装填材を前記第1成形ブロックに沿って移動させる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記第2装填材を前記第2パンチプレートに接着させることにより、前記第2装填材と前記第2パンチプレートとの相対移動を防止し、前記第2装填材の前記第1端部を前記ダイキャビティ内に押し込む際に、前記第2装填材を前記第2成形ブロックに沿って移動させる、請求項2に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記第1及び第2装填材の前記第1端部を前記ダイキャビティ内に押し込む前に、前記第1及び第2装填材を加熱する、請求項1~3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- さらに、前記第1パンチプレートを前記ダイキャビティ内に移動させる際に、前記第1パンチプレートを前記第2パンチプレートに接触させる、請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- さらに、前記第1及び第2パンチプレートを、同時に前記ダイキャビティ内に挿入する、請求項1~5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- さらに、前記第1及び第2装填材を前記ダイキャビティに挿入する前に、前記第1及び第2成形ブロックの其々にシート材を配置し、前記シート材は、前記第1及び第2装填材に対する接着性が、前記第1及び第2パンチプレートよりも低い、請求項1~6のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記第1パンチプレートを前記第2パンチプレートに対して移動させて、前記第1装填材を前記第1成形ブロックに対して移動させることにより、前記第1及び第2装填材の前記第1端部同士を前記ダイキャビティ内で整列させるに際し、前記第1パンチプレート及び前記第1装填材の前記第1端部の其々を、前記ダイキャビティ内にさらに移動させる、請求項1~7のいずれかに記載の方法。

第1及び第2成形ブロックの間に形成されたダイキャビティの上に、第1及び第2装填材を配置し、
前記第1及び第2装填材にパンチを接触させて、前記第1及び第2装填材の其々の第1端部を前記ダイキャビティ内に押し込み、
前記第1端部同士が前記ダイキャビティ内で非整列である場合、前記第1装填材に接着している前記パンチの第1部分を、前記第2装填材に接着している前記パンチの第2部分に対して移動させて、前記第1装填材を移動させることにより、前記第1装填材の前記第1端部を、前記第2装填材の前記第1端部と、前記ダイキャビティ内で整列させ、
前記第1端部同士が前記ダイキャビティ内で整列すると、前記第1及び第2装填材の第2端部でフランジを形成し、
前記パンチを前記ダイキャビティから取り除き、
前記装填材同士を前記ダイキャビティ内で圧着させる、方法。 - さらに、前記第1及び第2成形ブロックの表面よりも接着性が低いシート材を、前記第1及び第2成形ブロックの其々に配置することにより、前記第1及び第2装填材の前記第1端部が前記ダイキャビティ内に押し込まれて整列される際に、前記第1装填材が前記第1成形ブロックに接着すること及び前記第2装填材が前記第2成形ブロックに接着することを防止する、請求項9に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記第1及び第2装填材の其々の前記第1端部を前記ダイキャビティ内に押し込む際に、前記第1装填材を前記第1成形ブロック上の前記シート材に対して摺動させるとともに、前記第2装填材を前記第2成形ブロック上の前記シート材に対して摺動させる、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記第1及び第2装填材に前記パンチを接触させて、前記第1及び第2装填材の其々の前記第1端部を前記ダイキャビティ内に押し込むに際し、第1パンチプレート部を前記第1装填材に接触させて、前記第1装填材を前記ダイキャビティ内に押し込み、これとは別に、第2パンチプレート部を前記第2装填材に接触させて、前記第2装填材を前記ダイキャビティ内に押し込む、請求項9~11のいずれかに記載の方法。

- さらに、前記ダイキャビティ内における前記第1及び第2装填材の前記第1端部の相対位置をディスプレイ画面に表示させる、請求項9~13のいずれかに記載の方法。
- ビークル用の複合材ストリンガーを製造するための装置であって、
第1及び第2成形ブロックの間に形成されたダイキャビティと、
前記ダイキャビティに近接して配置された第1及び第2パンチプレートであって、前記第1及び第2パンチプレートの各々は、内面、外面、及び、前記内面と前記外面との間に延びる接触端部を含み、前記第1及び第2パンチプレートは、前記内面同士が向かい合うとともに前記接触端部が反対側の端部よりも前記ダイキャビティに近い状態で配置されて
いるパンチプレートと、
前記第1パンチプレートの前記外面に、当該外面を横切る方向に配置された第1フランジプレートと、前記第2パンチプレートの前記外面に、当該外面を横切る方向に配置された第2フランジプレートと、
前記第1及び第2パンチプレートに機能的に接続されることにより、前記第1及び第2パンチプレートの各々を、前記接触端部が前記ダイキャビティの外部に位置する第1位置と前記接触端部が前記ダイキャビティの内部に位置する第2位置との間で、個別に、前記ダイキャビティに対して、及び互いに対して移動させる、1つ以上のアクチュエータと、を含む装置。 - 前記第1及び第2パンチプレートの前記内面同士は、接触している、請求項15に記載の装置。
- 前記1つ以上のアクチュエータは、前記第1及び第2フランジプレートに機能的に接続されることにより、前記第1及び第2フランジプレートの各々を、個別に、前記第1及び第2成形ブロックに対して近接する方向及び離間する方向に、互いに対して移動させる、請求項16に記載の装置。
- 前記ダイキャビティ内における前記第1及び第2装填材の端部同士の互いに対する位置を検出する1つ以上のセンサをさらに含む、請求項15~17のいずれかに記載の装置。
