Description

The present invention relates to a stepladder, and specifically relates to the shape of a top plate in a stepladder.

Conventionally, a stepladder is known in which the upper ends of a pair of ladder bodies including a step and a support are rotatably connected and a top plate is provided at the upper end of each ladder body (see, for example, Patent Document 1). ). The above-mentioned patent document describes a stepladder in which a recess is formed in the upper surface of the top plate, and tools such as a screwdriver and mechanical parts such as bolts can be stably placed in the recess.

Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2009-299299

According to the stepladder described in the above-mentioned patent document, a hinge is fixed to the side surface of the support of each ladder body in order to connect the pair of ladder bodies. When the ladder bodies are connected via the hinge in this manner, a gap is formed between the two top plates, so there is a possibility that tools and mechanical parts placed on the top plate may fall through this gap.

Further, even if the opposing top plates are formed to extend in the direction of each other and the size of the gap is reduced, there remains a risk that tools may fall from the gap. In addition, with this configuration, the positioning accuracy of the top plate needs to be high so that the gap size is small when the ladder body is opened to form a stepladder, which may cause an increase in work costs. Become.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to enable tools and mechanical parts to be stably placed on the upper surface of a top plate, and also to allow tools and mechanical parts to be stably placed on the top surface of a top plate. In the following, a stepladder 1, which is a dedicated stepladder, will be described as a stepladder according to an embodiment using FIGS. 1 to 7. In this embodiment, the direction of the stepladder 1 is defined by the direction of the arrow shown in FIG. That is, the axial direction of the rotation axis A (see the dashed line in FIG. 1) shown in FIG. 1 (the direction in which the step ladder 4 is installed) is the left-right direction of the stepladder 1 in the use state. Further, the direction perpendicular to the left-right direction in the horizontal direction (the opening/closing direction of the ladder bodies 2, 2) is defined as the front-rear direction of the stepladder 1, and the direction orthogonal to the left-right direction and the front-rear direction is defined as the up-down direction of the stepladder 1.

As shown in FIG. 1, the stepladder 1 according to the present embodiment includes a pair of ladder bodies 2 having a common configuration. The ladder bodies 2, 2 are arranged in a substantially V-shape when viewed from the side so that their lower ends are spaced apart from each other and widen, and their upper ends are rotatably connected.

Each ladder body 2 includes a pair of elongated supports 3.3. The pillars 3 are arranged so that the distance between them is greater on the lower side than on the upper side (approximately in a V-shape when viewed from the front). In this way, the stepladder 1 according to this embodiment includes four columns 3. Each support column 3 is bent at two points along the longitudinal direction for the purpose of ensuring strength, etc., so that the cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction has a substantially U-shape. Furthermore, end fittings 3a are fixed to the lower end portions of each of the pillars 3.

A plurality of rungs 4, 4, which are hollow cylindrical members, are spanned between the pair of supports 3, 3 in the ladder body 2 at predetermined intervals. The step 4 is formed by cutting a linear extrusion molded product having a predetermined cross-sectional shape into a predetermined length (see FIG. 5(b)). Each step 4 is fixed between opposing inner surfaces 33 of the support 3 by rivets. In the stepladder 1 according to this embodiment, each support 3, step 4, and top plate 5 are light metal members made of aluminum or aluminum alloy.

Each ladder body 2 is provided with top plates 5, which are hollow cylindrical members, at the upper end. The top plate 5 is formed by cutting a linear extrusion molded product having a predetermined cross-sectional shape into a predetermined length (see FIG. 5(a)). When fixing the top plate 5 to the column 3, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a rivet R is inserted through the column 3 and the top plate 5 from the outside in the front-rear direction, and the tip of the rivet R is caulked. . Further, a bracket 31 is fixed to the inner surface 33 of the support column 3 by a first screw S1, and a top plate 5 is fixed to the bracket 31 by a second screw S2. In this way, the top plate 5 is fixed to the support column 3 by the rivets R and the brackets 31.

As shown in FIG. 3, three regions are formed on the upper surface of each top plate 5 from the inside to the outside in the front-rear direction: a connecting portion 51, a groove portion 52, and a support portion 53. In this way, the support portion 53 is formed on the opposite side of the connecting portion 51 formed on the inside of the top plate 5 in the front-rear direction.

In this embodiment, the connecting portion 51 and the supporting portion 53 form substantially the same surface in a side view. In this way, in the stepladder 1, the connecting part 51 and the support part 53 are formed to be almost flush with each other, so that when the user stands on the upper surface of the top plates 5, 5 in the stepladder 1, which has a relatively low shape, Improves stability. Note that it is also possible to form the connecting portion 51 so as to be flush with the bottom surface of the groove portion 52.

The groove portion 52 formed on the upper surface of the top plate 5 is a recessed portion that is more depressed than the connecting portion 51 and the supporting portion 53. The groove portion 52 is formed from the right end side to the left end side on the upper surface of the top plate 5 so as to be parallel to the rotation axis A of the top plate 5.

Further, the top plates 5, 5 are rotatably connected to each other by a rotating portion 5U in the connecting portion 51, so that the pair of ladder bodies 2, 2 can be rotated relative to each other. Specifically, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a rotation groove 5a is formed in the connecting portion 51 on the rear top plate 5 (the right side top plate 5 in FIG. 3), and A rotation shaft portion 5b is formed in the portion 51. By inserting the rotation shaft portion 5b into the rotation groove portion 5a, a rotation portion 5U is formed, and the top plates 5 can be rotated. In this way, the upper surfaces of the two top plates 5, 5 are continuous with each other at the connecting portions 51, 51 of the top plates 5, 5.

As described above, in the stepladder 1, the ladder bodies 2, 2 are connected by the top plates 5, 5, so that the axial direction is parallel to the installation direction of the step 4 (the direction in which the tread 4 is spanned). It is possible to rotate around a rotation axis A having a rotation axis A.

According to the stepladder 1 according to the present embodiment, as described above, by forming the groove 52 which is a recess on the top surface of the top plate 5, it is possible to stably place tools and mechanical parts in this groove 52. It is said that Further, since the stepladder 1 has a structure in which the connecting portions 51 on the top plates 5 are connected to each other, no gap is formed between the top plates 5. This can reduce the possibility that tools and mechanical parts will fall from the grooves 52 of the top plates 5. In this way, in the stepladder 1, since the connecting portions 51 of the top plates 5 are connected in a simple configuration, there is no need to perform positioning of the top plates 5 with high precision.

Further, according to the stepladder 1, the groove portion 52 formed from the right end side to the left end side on the upper surface of the top plate 5 is formed as a recess so as to be parallel to the rotation axis A. Thereby, the groove portion 52 can be formed simultaneously with the extrusion process of the top plate 5, so that the recess (groove portion 52) can be easily formed.

In this embodiment, both left and right end portions of the top plates 5 are covered with cover members 6 made of resin. This improves the design and safety of the stepladder 1. In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, the cover member 6 is provided so as to close the opening at the end of the groove 52 in the top plate 5. A closing portion 61 that closes the opening of the groove portion 52 is formed in the cover member 6 . In this way, by configuring the opening portion of the groove 52 to be closed by the closing portion 61 of the cover member 6, objects placed in the groove 52 are prevented from falling.

Further, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the closing portion 61 is formed with a recessed portion 61a that is recessed outward in the longitudinal direction of the groove portion 52. As shown in FIGS. Thereby, the user of the stepladder 1 can lock the tip of the hook portion of a tool in the recessed portion 61a. Further, when a tool such as a screwdriver is placed in the groove 52, the tip of the tool enters the recess 61a, making it difficult for the tool to fall.

Note that it is also possible to form a notch having the same shape as the opening at the end of the groove 52 in the top plate 5 without forming the closing part 61 in the cover member 6. In this case, it becomes possible to stably place an elongated rod-shaped member longer than the length of the stepladder 1 in the left-right direction (the length of the top plate 5) in the groove portion 52 of the top plate 5.

The stepladder 1 is used depending on the angle formed by the pair of ladder bodies 2, 2 (specifically, the angle formed by the supports 3, 3, which are moved close to each other by the relative rotation of the ladder bodies 2, 2, in side view). It can take two forms: state and storage state. In use, as shown in FIG. 1, the stepladder 1 is supported by four pillars 3, with the angle between the ladder bodies 2, 2 being about 30 degrees. The stored state is such that the angle formed by the ladder bodies 2 approaches approximately 0 degrees.

When the stepladder 1 is in the above usage state, the lock portion 7 defines the angle formed by the ladder bodies 2 and restricts relative rotation. The lock portion 7 is provided near the top step 4. In addition, when the stepladder 1 is configured higher than in this embodiment, the lock portion 7 may be provided near the step stool 4 on the second step from the top. As shown in FIG. 2, the lock portion 7 is composed of a pair of first link members 7a, a pair of second link members 7b, and a lock lever 7c. The first link member 7a and the second link member 7b are connected so as to be relatively rotatable, and in a pair of mutually connected ladder bodies 2, 2, the step bars 4 which are arranged opposite to each other are connected.

The lock lever 7c is spanned between a portion where the first link member 7a and the second link member 7b are connected to be relatively rotatable. The user of the stepladder 1 pulls up the lock lever 7c to relatively rotate the first link member 7a and the second link member 7b so that they approach each other, and moves the ladder bodies 2 and 2 closer together to raise the stepladder 1. It is in a stored state. Note that when the lock lever 7c is located downward, the first link member 7a and the second link member 7b are located in a straight line, so that relative rotation of the ladder bodies 2 is restricted.

In the stepladder 1 according to the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 5(a), the support portion 53 of the top plate 5 has a groove shape 5G parallel to the rotation axis A of the top plate 5 as an anti-slip shape. and a rib shape 5R adjacent to the outside of the groove shape 5G are formed. The rib shape 5R is formed such that the height difference H2 of the inner slope is larger than the height difference H1 of the outer slope.

By configuring as described above, the height of the rib shape 5R is low in the opposite direction from the lifting surface side (outside in the front-rear direction), making it difficult for the user to get caught, making it easier for the user to climb onto the stepladder 1. On the other hand, in the opposite direction, since the rib shape 5R has a high peak due to the groove shape 5G, it is easy to get caught, and the slip prevention effect when the user gets off the stepladder 1 can be enhanced.

Further, as shown in FIG. 5(a), a curved top plate bulge 54 is formed on the outer upper part of the top plate 5 so as to extend outward. In this way, the stepladder 1 is configured so that it will not hurt even if the user of the stepladder 1 touches his thighs or shins against the top plate 5 while working.

Further, in the stepladder 1 according to the present embodiment, the step ladder 4 is also formed in the same shape as the support portion 53 on the top plate 5. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 5(b), the treadle 4 has a treadle groove shape 4G parallel to the longitudinal direction and a treadle rib shape 4R adjacent to the outside of the treadle groove shape 4G. A group is formed. The step rib shape 4R is formed such that the height difference between the inner slopes is greater than the height difference between the outer slopes. As a result, the shape of the step ladder 4 can be shaped so that, like the top plate 5, the user can easily climb up the step ladder 1, and also have a high anti-slip effect when getting off the step ladder 1.

Further, as shown in FIGS. 5A and 5B, the outer lower surfaces of the top plate 5 and the step bars 4 are formed into smooth curved shapes. In this way, when the user carries the stepladder 1 on his/her shoulders, the load on the stepladder 1 is not concentrated, so that the user does not have pain in his/her shoulders.

Further, in the stepladder 1 according to the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 6, the support 3 has a curved bulge 32 formed in a cross-sectional view along the longitudinal direction at the outer corner. Thereby, the user's hands are not hurt when performing work such as lifting, lowering, carrying, and storing (standing up against) the stepladder 1 while holding the support 3. Further, the corner portions of the cover member 6 are also shaped into curved surfaces that are continuous with the bulging portion 32, so that the periphery of the stepladder 1 is hard to be damaged (see FIG. 2).

Further, as shown in FIG. 7, the end fitting 3a fixed to the lower end portion of the support column 3 has a recessed portion 3b whose sides are open along the shape of the support column 3. By forming the concave portion 3b with open sides in the end fitting 3a in this way, the end fitting 3a can be shaped so that dirt, water, etc. are less likely to accumulate therein, and dirt can be easily wiped off.

Further, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, a large number of groove shapes are formed in the opposing inner surfaces 33, 33 of the support 3 of the stepladder 1 along the longitudinal direction. This reduces the friction between the step 4 and the inner surfaces 33 when the user steps on the tread 4 to go up and down. In this way, the stepladder 1 makes it possible to reduce the squeak noise caused by friction during use.
