Description

The present invention relates to a functional pole that is installed on the entrance approach to a house, etc.

Some functional columns equipped with nameplates, intercoms, etc. have lighting for illuminating the nameplate that is exposed on the front of the functional column (see, for example, Non-Patent Document 1). When lighting is exposed on the front of a functional column like this, there are problems such as the difficulty of wiring the lighting, and improvements in ease of installation were required.

In view of the above-mentioned circumstances, the present invention aims to provide a functional column that is easy to install.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the functional pillar of the invention described in claim 1 comprises a pillar body, a lighting fixture, a nameplate, and a awning, the lighting fixture is attached within the pillar body and has a row of LEDs that emit light forward, the pillar body has a long, slit-shaped notch in the front wall through which the LED light passes, the nameplate is provided below the notch in the front wall of the pillar body, and the awning is attached to the front wall of the pillar body and covers the notch in the front wall from the front, and has a reflective surface that reflects downward the LED light that passes through the notch.

The functional pillar according to the invention described in claim 1 comprises a pillar body, lighting fixtures, a nameplate, and a awning, and since the lighting fixtures are attached inside the pillar body, wiring only needs to be done inside the pillar body, making installation easy. The lighting fixtures have LEDs that emit light forward lined up in a row inside the pillar body, the pillar body has a long, slit-like notch in its front wall through which the LED light passes, the nameplate is provided below the notch in the front wall of the pillar body, and the awning is attached to the front wall of the pillar body, covering the notch in the front wall from the front and having a reflective surface that reflects the LED light that passes through the notch downward, so that the nameplate is illuminated from above by the LED light reflected by the reflective surface of the awning, making the nameplate highly visible.

Below, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Figures 1 to 4 show one embodiment of a functional pillar according to the present invention. This functional pillar is installed in the approach to the entrance of a house, and as shown in Figure 4, it comprises a pillar body 1, a nameplate 3 and an intercom 9 provided on the upper front part of the pillar body 1, and a awning 4 provided above the nameplate 3. In addition, this functional pillar comprises a post box 10 for receiving mail, newspapers, etc., and a delivery box 11 for receiving parcels delivered by courier. Inside the pillar body 1, a lighting fixture 2 for illuminating the nameplate 3 is installed, as shown in Figure 1.

As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the pillar body 1 has rectangular cross-section pillars 12, 12 erected from the ground on both the left and right sides, a lower panel 13 attached to the upper part between the pillars 12, 12, a front wall 6 and a rear wall 14 attached above the lower panel 13, and an upper panel 15 attached to the upper end.
As shown in Figures 1 and 2, a bracket 17 for a lighting device 2 is attached to the upper part of the pillar body 1 by screwing it from behind to a protruding piece 16 protruding from the rear surface of the front wall 6, and the lighting device 2 is attached by screwing it to the bracket 17. As shown in Figure 3, the lighting device 2 has a plurality of LEDs 5 that emit light forward, arranged at intervals in the left-right direction. In front of the LEDs 5, 5, ... on the front wall 6, there is provided a long and thin slit-like notch 7 through which the light from the LEDs 5, 5, ... passes. The notch 7 has a vertical dimension of 7 mm and a horizontal dimension of 110 mm. As shown in Figure 1, the notch 7 is covered by attaching a transparent panel 18 from the inside.
An interphone 9 is also installed inside the pillar body 1, and the front face of the interphone 9 can be seen through an opening 19 formed in the front wall 6 (see Figure 4).
In this manner, since the lighting fixtures 2 and intercom 9 are mounted inside the main body 1 of the functional pole, wiring only needs to be done inside the main body 1 of the pole, as shown in FIG. 2, which makes installation easy.
As shown in FIG. 2, the rear wall 14 is attached to the left and right support posts 12, 12 by screws 21 from the rear, and by removing the rear wall 14, wiring work and maintenance for the lighting fixtures 2 and intercom 9 can be easily performed.

As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the eaves 4 is attached to the front surface 21 (front surface of the front wall 6) of the pillar main body 1 and covers the notch 7 of the front wall 6 from the front. The eaves 4 is a square bar-shaped member whose vertical dimension is slightly larger than that of the notch 7 of the front wall 6, and the protruding dimension X (see Figure 1) from the front surface 21 of the pillar main body 1 is approximately the same as or smaller than the protruding dimension of the nameplate 3 from the front surface 21 of the pillar main body 1. Specifically, the vertical dimension of the eaves is 16 mm compared to the vertical dimension of the notch 7 of 7 mm, and the protruding dimension X of the eaves 4 from the front surface 21 of the pillar main body 1 is approximately 20 mm.
In this way, by making the eaves 4 in the shape of a thin rectangular bar and making the protruding dimension X from the front surface 21 of the pillar body 1 as small as possible, the eaves 4 is made inconspicuous (see FIG. 4).
As shown in Figure 1, the eaves 4 is formed from an aluminum profile having a generally U-shaped cross section, with a front wall 22, an upper wall 23, and a rear wall 24, the rear wall 24 being shorter than the front wall 22 so as not to cover the notch 7. A tapping hole 25 is provided at the corner between the front wall 22 and the upper wall 23. The rear wall 24 of the eaves 4 is abutted against the front wall 6 of the pillar body 1, and is fastened at two points, left and right, with screws 26 from the rear. Therefore, the screws 26 are not exposed to the outside.
Grooves 27, 27 are formed inwardly on the lower edge of the front wall 22 and the lower edge of the rear wall 24, and the reflector 8 is held in these grooves 27, 27 and attached at an angle so that the front side is lower. Light emitted forward from the LEDs 5 of the lighting fixture 2 passes through the notch 7 in the front wall 6 and is reflected by the reflector 8 and diffused downward, as shown by the arrow 28 in Figure 1. Square side panels 29 are attached to both the left and right ends of the eaves 4 and fixed with screws (countersunk screws) 30 that screw into the tapping holes 25.

The nameplate 3 is made of translucent resin and, as shown in FIG. 1, is attached via metal fittings 31 at a distance 32 from the vertical front surface 21 of the pillar body 1. The light of the LEDs 5 reflected by the reflector 8 of the eaves 4 illuminates the top surface of the nameplate 3 and the front and rear sides of the nameplate 3. This makes the nameplate 3 appear illuminated and raised, improving its visibility. Moreover, the eaves 4 attached above the nameplate 3 are made in the shape of a thin rectangular bar and do not protrude further forward than the nameplate 3, resulting in a nearly flat front surface of the functional pillar with a clean design. Furthermore, the shadow of the eaves 4 does not fall on the nameplate 3 during the day.

The post 10 is formed in a horizontally long rectangular box shape when viewed from the front, and is attached adjacent to the lower panel 13 of the column body 1 and between the left and right supports 12, 12.
The delivery box 11 is formed in a vertically long rectangular box shape when viewed from the front, and is attached adjacent to the lower part of the post 10 and between the left and right support pillars 12, 12. The front faces of the post 10 and the delivery box 11 are flush with the front face 21 of the pillar body 1.

As described above, this functional column comprises a column body 1, lighting fixtures 2, nameplate 3, and eaves 4, and since the lighting fixtures 2 are attached inside the column body 1, wiring only needs to be done inside the column body 1, making installation easy. The lighting fixtures 2 have LEDs 5, 5, ... that irradiate light forward lined up in a row inside the column body 1, the column body 1 has a long and narrow slit-shaped notch 7 in its front wall 6 through which the light of the LEDs 5, 5, ... passes, the nameplate 3 is provided below the notch 7 in the vertical front surface 21 of the column body 1, the eaves 4 covers the notch 7 in the front surface 21 of the column body 1 from the front and has a reflective surface (reflector) 8 that reflects downward the light of the LEDs 5, 5, ... that passes through the notch 7, so that the nameplate 3 is illuminated from above by the light of the LEDs 5, 5, ... reflected by the reflective surface 8 of the eaves 4, making the nameplate 3 highly visible.
Furthermore, in this functional column, the eaves 4 are square bar-shaped members whose vertical dimensions are slightly larger than those of the notch 7 in the front wall 6, and the protruding dimension X from the front face 21 of the column body 1 is approximately the same as or smaller than the protruding dimension of the nameplate 3 from the front face 21 of the column body 1, so that the eaves 4 are not conspicuous and have a good design.
Furthermore, in this functional column, the nameplate 3 is held at a distance 32 from the column body 1 toward the front, and the light of the LEDs 5, 5, ... reflected by the reflective surface 8 illuminates the upper end surface of the nameplate 3 and the front and rear sides of the nameplate 3, further improving the visibility of the nameplate 3.

The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments. The structure of the pillar body, the shape and material of the eaves, etc. can be changed as appropriate. The dimensions of the notches and eaves described in the description of the embodiments are merely examples and can be changed as appropriate without departing from the spirit of the present invention. The nameplate may be made of a non-translucent material such as metal, and the nameplate may be attached directly to the front of the pillar body. The mailbox, delivery box, and intercom are not necessarily required. The functional pillar of the present invention may be integrated with a gatepost (a so-called functional gatepost).

This functional pillar comprises a pillar body, lighting fixtures, a nameplate, and a awning, the lighting fixtures being attached inside the pillar body and having a row of LEDs that irradiate light forward, the pillar body having a long, thin slit-like notch in its front wall through which the LED light passes, the nameplate being provided below the notch in the front wall of the pillar body, the awning being attached to the front wall of the pillar body, covering the notch in the front wall from the front, and having a reflective surface that reflects downward the LED light that passes through the notch.
