Description
本明細書に記載の様々な実施形態では、合金の10%以上のタングステン(W)の割合(すなわち、以下、質量%または重量%)を有する白金およびタングステン(Pt-W)を含む金属合金が、医療デバイスの製造に使用される。いくつかの実施形態では、タングステン(W)の割合が、合金の10%~25%の範囲、より好ましくは10%~20%の範囲である。それらの実施形態では、合金の残りの割合は、大部分が白金(Pt)からなり、例えば、タングステン(W)の割合が10%以上である場合、白金(Pt)の割合は合金の90%以下であり、タングステン(W)の割合が20%以上である場合、白金(Pt)の割合は合金の80%以下である。
Claims (15)
- 医療デバイスであって、
白金(Pt)とタングステン(W)とを含む合金からなる細長い部材を含む編組を含み、
前記合金中のタングステン(W)の割合は10重量%以上であり、
前記合金はさらにジルコニウム(Zr)を含み、前記合金中の(Zr)の割合は5重量%以下であり、
前記編組は、前記編組がカテーテルの外側に閉じ込められていないときの第1の幅を有し、前記編組がカテーテルの内側にあるときの第2の幅を有し、第2の幅は第1の幅より小さいことを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載の医療デバイスにおいて、
前記合金中のタングステン(W)の割合が20重量%未満であることを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載の医療デバイスにおいて、
前記合金は、30Ksi以上のヤング率を有することを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載の医療デバイスにおいて、
前記合金は、10ppmから300ppmの間のいずれかの磁化率を有することを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載の医療デバイスにおいて、
前記合金は、8重量%以下のタングステンの割合を有する白金-タングステン合金よりも、大きな極限引張強度、大きなヤング率および小さな磁化率を有することを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載の医療デバイスにおいて、
前記合金は、8重量%のタングステンの割合を有する白金-タングステン合金の極限引張強度よりも大きな極限引張強度を有することを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載の医療デバイスにおいて、
前記合金のヤング率は、8重量%のタングステンの割合を有する白金-タングステン合金のヤング率よりも大きなヤング率を有することを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載の医療デバイスにおいて、
前記合金は、8重量%のタングステンの割合を有する白金-タングステン合金の磁化率よりも小さな磁化率を有することを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載の医療デバイスにおいて、
前記カテーテルをさらに含むことを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 請求項9に記載の医療デバイスにおいて、
前記カテーテルは、最大ルーメン幅が0.02インチ未満であるルーメンを有することを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 請求項9に記載の医療デバイスにおいて、
前記編組は、前記カテーテルの内部にあるときに弾性的に丸め込まれ又はクルクルと巻かれていることを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載の医療デバイスにおいて、
前記細長い部材が、0.005インチの最大幅を有することを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載の医療デバイスにおいて、
前記細長い部材が、0.00085インチ未満の断面寸法を有することを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載の医療デバイスにおいて、
前記編組の遠位部分に結合されたコイルセグメントをさらに含むことを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載の医療デバイスにおいて、
前記合金は、350ksi以上の極限引張強度を有することを特徴とする医療デバイス。
