Description

This case concerns an inner body that is placed inside a box.

One type of cushioning material known is a sheet material with multiple linearly extending slits arranged in a staggered pattern. When this sheet material is stretched in a direction intersecting the direction in which the slits extend on its extension plane, the holes corresponding to the slits open up in a honeycomb pattern (hence the name "honey paper"). As a result, the sheet material increases in thickness and changes into a net-like shape with cushioning (this function is also referred to as "cushion paper"). Packaging devices incorporating such sheet material have also been proposed (see Patent Document 1).

It has been considered to suspend the cushioning material formed from the above-mentioned sheet material inside a box body. Therefore, it is an issue to simplify the work of fitting the sheet-like cushioning material inside a box body in a suspended state.
The present invention was invented in consideration of the above problems, and one of its objectives is to facilitate the work of fitting a cushioning material in a suspended state inside a box body. However, other objectives of the present invention are to achieve actions and effects derived from the configurations shown in the "Mode for Carrying Out the Invention" described later, which are not obtainable with conventional technology.

The interior body of this case is an interior body to be placed inside a box body, and includes a pair of surfaces arranged opposite each other, and a sheet-like buffer section that is attached to an attachment area set on each of the surfaces and suspended between the surfaces, with multiple notches extending in a predetermined direction and arranged in a staggered pattern between the attachment areas.

This makes it easier to fit the cushioning material (cushioning section) into the box in a suspended state.

The embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. This embodiment is merely an example, and is not intended to exclude various modifications or the application of techniques not explicitly described in the following embodiment. Each configuration of this embodiment can be modified in various ways without departing from the spirit of the invention. In addition, the configurations can be selected or combined as necessary.

[1. Configuration]
<Box>
1, an inner body 2 according to this embodiment is placed inside a three-dimensional box 1 for packaging an item (not shown) and absorbs shock applied to the item. In this embodiment, the box 1 is a so-called B-type box in which a plug-in lid 11 is connected to a bottomed rectangular tubular main body 10.

The box 1 has a rectangular bottom portion 12 and four rectangular side portions 13, 14 extending from the four sides forming the edges of the bottom portion 12. The four side portions 13, 14 form a square tube shape and together with the bottom portion 12 constitute the main body portion 10.
In this embodiment, a box 1 that is longer in the length direction LD than in the width direction WD is illustrated. Hereinafter, of the four side surface portions 13, 14, a pair of side surface portions 13, 13 that face each other in the length direction LD of the box 1 will also be referred to as "short surface portions 13, 13," and a pair of side surface portions 14, 14 that face each other in the width direction WD of the box 1 will also be referred to as "long surface portions 14, 14." In addition, the side of the box 1 that faces the space in which items are stored (the space surrounded by the side surface portions 13, 14) is referred to as the inside, and the opposite side is referred to as the outside.

The short surface portion 13 is flat and extends along a width direction WD and a depth (height) direction DD. On the other hand, the long surface portion 14 is flat and extends along a length direction LD and a depth direction DD. The length direction LD, the width direction WD, and the depth direction DD are perpendicular to each other.
In this embodiment, the configurations of the box 1 and the inner body 2 will be described assuming that the box 1 is placed on a horizontal plane (the bottom surface portion 12 is disposed along the horizontal plane). That is, in this embodiment, the depth direction DD coincides with the vertical direction, and the length direction LD and the width direction WD are both aligned along the horizontal direction.

The lid portion 11 is connected to the upper edge of one of the long sides 14. In the box 1 of this embodiment, a flap portion 16 protrudes from the upper edge of each short side 13. When the lid portion 11 is closed, each flap portion 16 is folded inward from the short side 13 and overlaps below (inside) the lid portion 11.
The upper edge of the main body 10 defines an opening 15 through which an article is put in and taken out. When the lid 11 of the box 1 is open, the opening 15 is open upward.

<Interior body>
The inner body 2 includes a pair of surface portions 3, 3 arranged opposite each other inside the box body 1, and a sheet-like buffer portion 4 suspended between the surface portions 3, 3. In this embodiment, an inner body 2 in which the pair of surface portions 3, 3 are arranged opposite each other in the width direction WD of the box body 1 is exemplified.

The buffer section 4 is formed of a sheet-like material (buffer material 7 described later) also called cushion paper or honey paper. The buffer section 4 is attached to the attachment area 31 set on each surface section 3, so that the main section 40 extending between the attachment areas 31, 31 is provided in a state of hanging down toward the bottom surface section 12. In other words, the buffer section 4 is provided in a hammock shape between a pair of surfaces 3, 3. Here, the buffer section 4 is illustrated as being hung in a U-shape that is convex from the attachment areas 31, 31 toward the bottom surface section 12. Note that FIG. 1 illustrates an attachment area 31 set in a strip shape extending in the length direction LD, but the shape of the attachment area 31 is not particularly limited. The method of attaching the buffer section 4 to the attachment area 31 is also not particularly limited, and for example, an adhesive or a pressure sensitive adhesive can be used.

The main part 40 of the buffer part 4 is arranged without being attached to any part of the surface part 3. The main part 40 of the buffer part 4 (between the attachment areas 31, 31) has a plurality of staggered notches 41 extending along a predetermined direction. In this embodiment, a buffer part 4 in which the notches 41 extend along the length direction LD of the box body 1 (the predetermined direction is the length direction LD) is exemplified.

As shown in FIG. 2, when the buffer section 4 is pulled in a direction intersecting the specific direction in which the slits 41 extend (hereinafter simply referred to as the "intersecting direction"), the meshes corresponding to the slits 41 open, causing the buffer section 4 to expand in the intersecting direction. At this time, in the buffer section 4 that expands in the intersecting direction, the pieces 42 around the slits 41 rise up, causing a honeycomb-shaped three-dimensional cell structure 43 to appear. Due to the appearance of the cell structure 43 accompanying such expansion in the intersecting direction, the buffer section 4 increases in dimension in the thickness direction (the direction intersecting both the specific direction and the intersecting direction), and is transformed into a net-like shape (a thick mat-like shape) with a buffer space formed.

In this embodiment, the buffer section 4 is deformed into a net shape when pulled in a depth direction DD intersecting with the length direction LD by the slits 41 extending along the length direction LD of the box body 1. As shown in FIG. 3, in a box body 1 with the opening 15 facing upward, the weight of an item inserted from above to below through the opening 15 pulls the buffer section 4 downward, causing it to expand downward (see the two-dot chain line in FIG. 3).

Before being pulled in the cross direction (when the holes corresponding to the slits 41 are not open), the buffer section 4 is arranged with a gap between it and the bottom surface 12 of the box body 1. The greater the distance between the pair of surfaces 3, 3 (which corresponds to the dimension in the width direction WD of the box body 1 in this embodiment), the more the buffer section 4 is prevented from sagging toward the bottom surface 12. For this reason, the greater the distance between the pair of surfaces 3, 3, the more easily interference (bottoming) between the buffer section 4 and the bottom surface 12 of the box body 1 is prevented.

Each surface portion 3 is preferably formed of a sheet-like material that is thicker and harder than the material used for the buffer portion 4, and supports the buffer portion 4. In this embodiment, each surface portion 3 has a pillar portion 32 that is arranged to overlap almost the entire long surface portion 14 of the box body 1, and a fold-back portion 33 that is folded back from the pillar portion 32 to the outside (toward the long surface portion 14) and arranged to abut against a part of the long surface portion 14 from the inside. In this embodiment, an attachment area 31 to which the buffer portion 4 is attached is set on the pillar portion 32.

Each pillar 32 extends between a lower edge 34 supported by the bottom surface 12 of the box 1 and an upper edge 35 above the attachment area 31. Here, the pillar 32 is exemplified as being slightly smaller in both dimensions in the length direction LD and the depth direction DD than the long surface 14 of the box 1.
1 and 3, the column 32 of this embodiment has a support portion 36 that is bent along the outer shape of an article to be stored in the box 1. Specifically, the support portion 36 is a portion that is bent along a fold line (support line 65 described below) that imitates the outer shape of an article to be packaged in the box 1. The support portion 36 abuts against the outer surface of the article stored in the box 1. In other words, the article to be stored in the box 1 is positioned inside the box 1 so as to abut against the support portion 36. In this way, the support portion 36 also functions as an indicator for positioning the article inside the box 1.

In this embodiment, the support portion 36 is provided above the attachment area 31 (toward the upper edge portion 35). Here, assuming that three roughly cylindrical objects are stored in the box 1 lined up in the longitudinal direction LD, the support portion 36 is bent along a wavy fold line that follows the outer shape of the objects. However, the specific arrangement and shape of the support portion 36 are not limited to the above example, and are designed as appropriate depending on the size and outer shape of the objects to be packaged in the box 1.

The folded portion 33 is folded downward from the column portion 32 at the upper edge portion 35 and overlaps the outside of the column portion 32. The folded portion 33 of this embodiment has a tapered shape in which the dimension in the length direction LD (the width dimension of the folded portion 33) gradually decreases toward the lower side (toward the bottom surface portion 12). More specifically, the folded portion 33 of this embodiment has an isosceles trapezoid shape having a pair of parallel base sides along the length direction LD and with the shorter base side positioned above the longer base side when viewed from the width direction WD of the box body 1.
3, the folded portion 33 is preferably disposed with a gap 37 between it and the column portion 32 in a portion other than the upper edge portion 35. Here, the folded portion 33 is illustrated as being shorter than the column portion 32 in the depth direction DD.

<Interior seats>
The above-mentioned inner body 2 is assembled from an inner sheet 5 shown in Fig. 4. The inner sheet 5 is formed by laminating a sheet-shaped mount 6 and a sheet-shaped cushioning material 7 in the thickness direction and forming a planar shape. The mount 6 constitutes the portion that becomes the pair of surface portions 3, 3 of the inner body 2, and the cushioning material 7 constitutes the portion that becomes the cushioning portion 4 of the inner body 2. Note that the mount 6 and the cushioning material 7 are not limited to being made of paper, and may be made of, for example, plastic. Furthermore, the mount 6 and the cushioning material 7 may be made of the same material, or may be made of different materials.

Hereinafter, the two mutually perpendicular directions in a plan view (thickness direction view) of the interior sheet 5 are also referred to as the vertical direction D1 and the horizontal direction D2. In addition, in the thickness direction of the interior sheet 5, the side on which the cushioning material 7 is arranged is also referred to as the "front side," and the opposite side (the side on which the backing paper 6 is arranged) is also referred to as the "back side." The vertical direction D1 of the interior sheet 5 corresponds to the length direction LD of the interior body 2 arranged inside the box 1.

The mount 6 has two surface areas 61, 61 that become a pair of surface portions 3, 3 in the interior body 2. The surface areas 61, 61 are adjacent to each other in the horizontal direction D2 via a break assist portion 62 that extends in the vertical direction D1 in a plan view. In this embodiment, the break assist portion 62 is provided at the center of the horizontal direction D2 of the interior sheet 5, and the mount 6 is exemplified in which the two surface areas 61, 61 are formed symmetrically with respect to the break assist portion 62.

The break assist portion 62 is formed on the backing 6 so as to be relatively easier to break (than the area around the break assist portion 62). Specifically, the break assist portion 62 is formed by a perforation, a half cut, a cut tape, or the like. When the interior sheet 5 is assembled to the interior body 2, the backing 6 is broken along the break assist portion 62, dividing the two surface regions 61, 61 from each other. In the backing 6 of this embodiment, the portion broken along the break assist portion 62 becomes the lower edge portion 34 of the column portion 32 in the interior body 2.

The backing paper 6 of this embodiment has V-shaped notches 67 at both ends in the longitudinal direction D1 of the breaking assisting portion 62. The notches 67 are locations that become the starting points of breaking along the breaking assisting portion 62, and make it easier to apply shear force to the breaking assisting portion 62. Specifically, the notches 67 are formed such that their inner ends in the longitudinal direction D1 (the tips of the V) are connected to the breaking assisting portion 62.
An attachment area 63 to which the cushioning material 7 is attached is set in each surface area 61. The attachment areas 63, 63 set in the two surface areas 61 respectively correspond to the attachment areas 31, 31 set in the pair of surface portions 3, 3 of the interior body 2. As described above, the attachment area 63 in this embodiment is set in a strip shape extending in the vertical direction D1.

In the present embodiment, the backing paper 6 has, in each surface region 61, a top line 64 that extends in the vertical direction D1 outside the attachment region 63 in the horizontal direction D2, and a support line 65 that extends inward in the horizontal direction D2 from the top line 64 along the outer surface shape of the item to be stored in the box 1. Each top line 64 becomes the upper edge 35 of the column section 32 in the inner body 2, and each support line 65 becomes a support section 36 in the inner body 2. In addition, in each surface region 61, a fold-back region 66 that is outward in the horizontal direction D2 from the top line 64 becomes a fold-back section 33 in the inner body 2.

Both the apex crease 64 and the support crease 65 are formed in the backing paper 6 so as to be relatively easier to bend (than the areas around the apex crease 64 and the support crease 65), and assist in folding when the interior sheet 5 is assembled into the interior body 2. Specifically, the apex crease 64 and the support crease 65 are formed by grooves (scores), perforations, half cuts, or the like.
In this embodiment, the apex crease 64 is provided as a straight line extending along the vertical direction D1. Meanwhile, the support crease 65 is provided as a wavy line extending while curving in the vertical direction D1. When the interior sheet 5 is assembled into the interior body 2, each surface region 61 is folded so that the apex crease 64 and the support crease 65 are convex toward the front side.

The folded region 66 has a tapered shape in which the dimension in the vertical direction D1 gradually decreases toward the outside in the horizontal direction D2. More specifically, the folded region 66 in this embodiment has an isosceles trapezoid shape in plan view that has a pair of parallel bases along the vertical direction D1 and the shorter base is positioned further outward in the horizontal direction D2 than the longer base.

The cushioning material 7 is layered on the backing 6 across the break assisting portion 62 and attached to each attachment area 63. The entire cushioning material 7 is arranged in a planar manner along the backing 6. That is, in the cushioning portion 4 of the interior body 2, the main portion 40 is arranged to hang down, whereas in the cushioning material 7 of the interior sheet 5, the main portion 70 extending between the attachment areas 63, 63 is arranged in a planar manner parallel to the backing 6.

The main portion 70 of the cushioning material 7 (between the attachment areas 63, 63) has a plurality of staggered notches 71 extending along a predetermined direction. In the cushioning material 7 of this embodiment, the notches 71 extend along the vertical direction D1 (the predetermined direction is the vertical direction D1). The notches 71 of the cushioning material 7 correspond to the notches 41 of the cushioning section 4 in the interior body 2.

<Interior seat assembly procedure>
To assemble the interior sheet 5 to the interior body 2, first, the backing sheet 6 is broken along the break assist portion 62 from the cutout portion 67, as shown in Fig. 5(a). This separates the two surface regions 61, 61 from each other. Such breaking along the break assist portion 62 can be performed by, for example, a user manually tearing the backing sheet 6 along the break assist portion 62 without using a tool such as scissors or a cutter.

5(b), each surface region 61 is folded so as to be convex toward the front side at the apex lines 64 and the support lines 65. As a result, in each surface region 61 that will become the surface portion 3 of the interior body 2, the folded-back region 66 is folded back from the portion corresponding to the column portion 32, and the support portion 36 is formed.
5(c), the surface regions 61, 61 are opposed to each other with a gap therebetween in a position in which the apex line 64 that becomes the upper edge 35 of the column portion 32 is positioned above the portion that becomes the lower edge 34 of the column portion 32 (the portion broken along the breaking auxiliary portion 62 in this embodiment). This completes the interior body 2 in which the buffer portion 4 is suspended between the pair of surface portions 3, 3.

<Interior body assembly procedure>
To assemble (fit) the inner body 2 to the box body 1, as shown in Fig. 6(a), the inner body 2 is inserted through the opening 15 of the box body 1 with the face portions 3, 3 arranged substantially parallel to the long face portions 14. Then, as shown in Fig. 6(b), the lower edge portions 34 of the pillar portions 32 are abutted against the bottom face portion 12 of the box body 1, and the folded portions 33 are abutted against the long face portions 14, 14 from the inside. This completes the assembly of the inner body 2 to the box body 1 (the work of fitting the inner body 2 to the box body 1).

As shown by the two-dot chain line in Fig. 6(b) , the box 1 with the inner body 2 inside is inserted with the article 8 from above through the opening 15. The article 8 is positioned so as to abut against the support portion 36 between the pair of surfaces 3, 3, and is placed on the buffer portion 4 from above.
The buffer section 4 that receives the article 8 expands downward and deforms into a net shape due to the weight (gravity) of the article 8. As a result, the buffering properties of the buffer section 4 are ensured, and the article 8 is protected by the buffer section 4.

[2. Actions and Effects]
<Interior body>
According to the inner body 2, the following actions and effects can be obtained.
(1) The inner body 2 is provided with a pair of face portions 3, 3 arranged opposite each other and a sheet-like buffer portion 4 suspended between the face portions 3, 3. Therefore, by simply fitting the inner body 2 inside the box body 1, the buffer portion 4 (buffer material 7) can be suspended inside the box body 1. This facilitates the task of fitting the buffer material 7 inside the box body 1 in a suspended state.

(2) As shown in FIG. 3, if the fold-back portion 33 folded downward from the column portion 32 at the upper edge portion 35 of the column portion 32 is placed in contact with the long surface portion 14 of the box body 1 from the inside, the posture of the inner body 2 can be stabilized relative to the box body 1. In addition, the restoring force (elastic force) acting in the direction of folding back the fold-back portion 33 folded back from the column portion 32 allows the fold-back portion 33 to function like a cushion against impacts in the width direction WD. This improves the cushioning properties of the inner body 2. This further improves the protection of items placed above the cushioning portion 4 suspended between the pair of surfaces 3, 3.

(3) If the support section 36, which is bent to conform to the outer shape of the item to be stored in the box 1, is provided on the column section 32, the contact area with the item is ensured by the support section 36, so that the item can be more stably supported by the inner body 2. This prevents the item from shifting out of position relative to the inner body 2, further enhancing the protection of the item.

(4) The folded-back portion 33 has a tapered shape in which the dimension (width dimension) in the length direction LD gradually decreases toward the bottom, making it easier to insert the folded-back portion 33 into the box body 1 from above, facilitating the work of fitting the inner body 2 into the box body 1. This improves the ease of assembling the inner body 2 to the box body 1.

(5) If a gap 37 is provided between the column 32 and the folded-back portion 33 in a portion other than the upper edge 35, the folded-back portion 33 can be allowed to deform relative to the column 32, and the cushioning properties of the folded-back portion 33 against impacts in the width direction WD can be further enhanced. This further improves the cushioning properties of the interior body 2.

<Interior seats>
The interior sheet 5 provides the following functions and effects.
(1) The interior sheet 5 is provided with the backing 6 in which the two surface regions 61, 61 are separated from each other by breaking along the break assisting portion 62, and the sheet-like cushioning material 7 attached to the attachment region 63 of each surface region 61. Therefore, the cushioning material 7 can be suspended inside the box body 1 simply by fitting the interior body 2 assembled from the interior sheet 5 to the box body 1. This facilitates the task of fitting the cushioning material 7 to the box body 1 in a suspended state. In addition, the interior sheet 5 that can be assembled to the interior body 2 can be manufactured simply by overlapping the cushioning material 7 on the backing 6 in which the two surface regions 61, 61 are adjacent to each other in the horizontal direction D2 via the break assisting portion 62 extending in the vertical direction D1 and attaching it to each attachment region 63. This improves the ease of manufacture of the interior body 2.

(2) If the backing 6 has V-shaped notches 67 at both ends of the breaking assist portion 62 in the longitudinal direction D1, the notches 67 become the starting points for breaking, making it easier to break the backing 6 along the breaking assist portion 62. This makes it easier to assemble the interior sheet 5 to the interior body 2. This improves the ease of assembly of the interior sheet 5.

3. Modifications
The configurations of the interior body 2 and the interior sheet 5 are not limited to those exemplified in the above embodiment.
7, each surface portion 3 of the interior body 2 may further have foot portions 38 bent at the lower edge portions 34 from the column portions 32 in a direction approaching each other (inward in the width direction WD in this modified example). The foot portions 38 are disposed in contact with the bottom surface portion 12 of the box body 1 from the inside (upper side). In this modified example, an interior body 2 in which two foot portions 38 are disposed spaced apart from each other in the width direction WD is exemplified.

8 , in the interior sheet 5 to be assembled to the interior body 2 provided with the foot portions 38, the backing paper 6 has a bottom crease 68 extending in the vertical direction D1 on the inside in the horizontal direction D2 of the attachment area 63 of each surface area 61. Each bottom crease 68 in this modified example becomes the lower edge portion 34 of the column portion 32 in the interior body 2.
The bottom crease 68, like the top crease 64 and the support crease 65, is formed in the backing 6 so as to be relatively easier to bend (than the area around the bottom crease 68), and assists in folding when the interior sheet 5 is assembled into the interior body 2. Specifically, the bottom crease 68 is formed by a groove (score), perforation, half cut, or the like.

The bottom crease 68 is provided in a straight line extending along the vertical direction D1. When the interior sheet 5 is assembled into the interior body 2, each surface area 61 is folded at the bottom crease 68 so as to be convex toward the back side. In this way, at each bottom crease 68, the surface area 61 is folded in the opposite direction to the folding direction at the apex crease 64 and the support crease 65.

According to the interior body 2 of this modified example, the legs 38 bent in a direction approaching each other from each column 32 are placed against the bottom surface 12 of the box body 1 from the inside, so that each surface 3 can be stabilized in an upright position along the long surface 14. This makes it possible to further stabilize the position of the interior body 2 relative to the box body 1. This further enhances the protection of items placed above the buffer section 4 suspended between the pair of surfaces 3, 3.

In addition, because the dimension of the surface portion 3 in the depth direction DD is reduced when the foot portion 38 is folded, the dimension of the inner body 2 in the depth direction DD can be adjusted by adjusting the size of the folded foot portion 38. This makes it possible to make the dimension of the inner body 2 correspond to the dimension of the box body 1 in the depth direction DD. Therefore, the inner body 2 can be more appropriately fitted to box bodies 1 of various dimensions.

The backing 6 may have a plurality of bottom lines 68 in each surface region 61 that are spaced apart from each other in the horizontal direction D2. With this configuration, by bending the foot 38 at a bottom line 68 among the plurality of bottom lines 68 that corresponds to the dimension of the box body 1 in the depth direction DD, the dimensions of the inner body 2 in the depth direction DD can be easily made to correspond to the dimensions of the box body 1. This improves the ease of assembly of the inner body 2, which can be applied to box bodies 1 of various dimensions.

In the interior body 2, the fold-back portion 33 may be omitted from each surface portion 3. The support portion 36 may be provided only on one of the pillar portions 32, or may be omitted from both pillar portions 32. The support portion 36 may be arranged so as to overlap the attachment area 31, or may be arranged on the lower edge portion 34 side of the attachment area 31 in the pillar portion 32. The same is true for the interior sheet 5, where one or both of the support lines 65 may be omitted, or the arrangement of the support lines 65 may be changed.

In the interior sheet 5, both the apex line 64 and the folded-back region 66 may be omitted. Similarly, one or both of the cutout portions 67 may be omitted.
The shapes of the folded-back portion 33 of the inner body 2 and the folded-back region 66 of the inner sheet 5 are not limited to the tapered shape described above, and may be, for example, rectangular. Also, in the inner body 2, the folded-back portion 33 may be formed to a size that overlaps with the entire column portion 32. The same is true for the interior sheet 5, and the folded-back region 66 may be formed to a size equal to the region of the inner body 2 that becomes the column portion 32.

The predetermined direction in which the slits 41, 71 of the buffer section 4 and the buffer material 7 extend is not limited to the length direction LD and the vertical direction D1 described above. Regardless of the predetermined direction (in whichever direction the slits 41, 71 extend), the buffer section 4 and the buffer material 7 are deformed into a net shape by being pulled in the intersecting direction, so that the buffering properties are ensured as in the above embodiment. Therefore, it is possible to provide an interior body 2 and an interior sheet 5 in which the buffer section 4 and the buffer material 7 ensure the buffering properties.

The specific configuration of the box 1 to which the inner body 2 is applied is not limited to the above example. The box 1 may have side portions 13, 14 formed in a rectangular shape of equal size, and the lid portion 11 and the flap portion 16 may be omitted.
The pair of surface portions 3, 3 of the inner body 2 may be disposed along the short surface portions 13, 13 of the box body 1. Even in this case, the work of fitting the cushioning material 7 in a suspended state inside the box body 1 can be facilitated, as in the above embodiment. Furthermore, if the folded-back portions 33 of the surface portions 3 are disposed in contact with the short surface portions 13 of the box body 1 from the inside, the cushioning properties can be improved, as in the above embodiment.
