Description

The present invention relates to a ventilation device having a shutter.

Conventionally, this type of ventilation device is known to have a shutter at the outlet opening end of a hollow rectangular prism-shaped frame. This shutter is configured with a shutter plate that opens and closes the outlet opening of the frame, and a long shutter support member on the inner surface on both sides of the outlet opening end of the frame. The shutter plate has a shutter hole in the side wall that is formed upright on the side, and the shutter plate is fixed in a rotatable state around the shutter plate mounting shaft 102 by inserting the shutter hole into the shutter hole. Furthermore, the shutter support member to which the shutter plate is attached is supported by the frame of the ventilation device.

As shown in Figure 10, the conventional ventilation device described above is structured so that a shutter support member 101 is provided with a shielding wall surface 103 so that both sides of the shutter plate overlap when the shutter plate is closed, in order to reduce light leakage from the outside of the room due to the gap between the frame body of the ventilation device and the shutter plate. However, because the shutter support member 101 is provided on both inner sides of the blowing opening end of the frame body of the ventilation device, the shielding wall surface 103 of the shutter support member 101 becomes an air flow resistance in the air flow path when the ventilation device is operating.

Therefore, the present invention provides a ventilation device that reduces light leakage from the outside and the inflow of wind and rain from the outside due to gaps between the ventilation device frame and the shutter plate, and also reduces air flow resistance when the ventilation device is in operation.

To achieve this objective, a wall-mounted ventilation fan according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a hollow rectangular prism-shaped frame body having an intake opening on the upstream side, an exhaust opening on the downstream side, and an air passage connecting the intake opening and the exhaust opening, a shutter plate for opening and closing the exhaust opening, and a shutter support member for rotatably fixing the shutter plate to the frame body, the shutter support member having an inclined surface that slopes downward to narrow the area of the air passage toward the downstream side, and the downstream end of the inclined surface forms the inner wall of the exhaust opening.

The present invention can provide a ventilation device that reduces light leakage from the outside and the inflow of wind and rain from the outside due to gaps between the ventilation device frame and the shutter plate, and prevents a decrease in ventilation air volume by reducing air flow resistance during operation, and is quieter.

(Embodiment)
FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of a ventilation device according to the present invention.

As shown in FIG. 1, the wall-mounted ventilator 1 according to the present invention includes a bellmouth 6, a blower 5, and a frame 4.

The bellmouth 6 is a member that straightens the airflow so that it can be smoothly sucked into the wall-mounted ventilation fan 1. The bellmouth 6 is a resin member that is attached to cover the frame 4 and is configured around the blades 14. The bellmouth 6 has a bellmouth side wall 22, a bellmouth upstream opening 41, a bellmouth downstream opening 49, and an opening 21. The bellmouth side wall 22 has a hollow truncated cone shape with its bottom surface located on the upstream side, and has an arbitrary gap between it and the blades 16 described below. The bellmouth side wall 22 is a surface that is provided to suppress the generation of wingtip vortices, improve ventilation performance, and reduce noise.

The bellmouth upstream opening 41 is a substantially circular opening provided on the plane of the upstream end of the bellmouth 6.

The bellmouth downstream opening 49 is located downstream of the bellmouth upstream opening 41 and is a circular opening with a smaller diameter than the bellmouth upstream opening 41.

The opening 21 is a space extending from the bellmouth upstream opening 41 to the bellmouth downstream opening 49, which is located on the inner side of the bellmouth side wall 22, and is a circular hole located in the center of the bellmouth 6. The opening 21 is an opening for sucking in air by the airflow created by the blower unit 5 when the wall-mounted ventilation fan 1 is in operation.

The blower 5 is provided at the front center of the frame 4, and generates an airflow that passes through the inside of the wall-mounted ventilation fan 1. The blower 5 includes a blade 14 and a spinner 15. The blade 14 includes a base 36 and a number of blades 16 on the side. The blade 14 is arranged with the upper surface of the base 36 facing the suction opening 7. The suction opening 7 will be described later. The blade 14 rotates in the circumferential direction of the base 36 to generate an airflow from the suction opening 7 to the blowing opening 8. The blade 14 can be, for example, a propeller fan.

The base 36 is cylindrical and located in the center of the blade 14, and is fixed to the rotating shaft of the motor 11.

The blades 16 are attached to the cylindrical side of the base 36 and generate airflow when the wall-mounted ventilation fan 1 is in operation.

The spinner 15 is a resin member that secures the blades 14 to the rotating shaft of the motor 11.

The details of the frame 4 will be described with reference to Figure 2. Figure 2 is a top perspective view showing the frame 4 of the wall-mounted ventilation fan 1 according to this embodiment.

The frame 4 is a hollow rectangular prism-shaped metal part having an intake opening 7, an exhaust opening 8, and an air passage 9. The frame 4 includes a motor support member 10, a motor 11, a first engagement portion 40, and a shutter 12.

The suction opening 7 is a rectangular opening provided on the upstream side of the frame 4, to which the bell mouth 6 is connected. Each of the four sides of the suction opening 7 is provided with a flange 24.

The flange 24 extends upstream on the same plane as the four sides and has a surface for attaching the bell mouth 6.

The blow-out opening 8 is provided on the downstream side of the frame 4 and is a rectangular opening having approximately the same area as the suction opening 7. The blow-out opening 8 is an outlet for the airflow generated when the wall-mounted ventilation fan 1 is in operation, and is an opening that connects to the outside air when the wall-mounted ventilation fan 1 is installed on a wall. The blow-out opening 8 is closed by a shutter 12 when the wall-mounted ventilation fan 1 is not in operation.

The air passage 9 is a space that connects the intake opening 7 and the exhaust opening 8, and the motor support member 10 and the motor 11 are arranged on the air passage 9.

The motor support member 10 is a metal member that is fixed to the inner side surface 13 of the frame body 4 and is a member that fixes the motor 11.

The motor 11 is fixed to a motor support member 10 fixed to the frame 4, and has a rotating shaft protruding toward the suction opening 7. The motor 11 rotates the rotating shaft when power is supplied, thereby rotating the blades 14 fixed to the rotating shaft.

The first engagement portion 40 is a plurality of holes provided on the side surface 13a perpendicular to the side surface 13 of the frame body 4, which engage with the shutter support member 17 described below.

The shutter 12 includes a shutter plate 19 and a shutter support member 17. The shutter 12 closes when the wall-mounted ventilation fan 1 is not in operation to prevent outside wind and rainwater from entering the room when the fan is not in operation, and opens when the wall-mounted ventilation fan 1 is in operation by the air currents generated by the blades 14 to ensure the air outlet opening 8.

The shutter plate 19 is fixed to the shutter support member 17 in a state in which it can rotate around a protrusion of the shutter support member 17 (described below). The shutter plate 19 is a metal plate-like member that actually prevents outside wind and rainwater from entering the room.

Next, the shutter support member 17 will be described with reference to Figures 3, 4, and 5. Figure 3 is a top perspective view of the shutter support member 17 according to the present invention, Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view of the shutter support member 17 in Figure 3 taken along line AA, and Figure 5 is a rear perspective view of the shutter support member 17.

The shutter support member 17 is an elongated part and includes a shutter plate mounting shaft 52, an inclined surface 42, and a shielding wall surface 43.

The shutter plate mounting shaft 52 is a generally cylindrical protrusion that protrudes vertically from the top surface 47 of the shutter support member 17. The top surface 47 is the surface that faces the inner circumference of the frame body 4. The shutter plate mounting shaft 52 is inserted into a shutter hole 53 (described later in FIG. 6) provided in a side wall formed in an upright shape on the side of the shutter plate 19, thereby assembling the shutter plate 19 to the shutter support member 17; details will be described later.

The inclined surface 42 has an inclined low side 50, which is one of the long sides of the shutter support member 17, as one end side, and is inclined at a certain angle toward the top surface 47 in the short side direction, with its highest point being the inclined high side 51, which is the other end side.
The inclined surface 42 is attached so that, when the shutter support member 17 is attached to the frame 4, the area of the air passage narrows as it approaches the downstream side.

The shielding wall surface 43 is perpendicular to the upper surface 47 of the shutter support member 17, shares an inclined high side 51 with the shutter support member 17, and is a surface parallel to the long side of the shutter support member 17.

As shown in FIG. 5, the shutter support member 17 has a second engagement portion 44 on the back surface, which is composed of a claw portion 45 and an insertion portion 46.

The claw portion 45 is an L-shaped protrusion that protrudes vertically from the back surface of the shutter support member 17, and the insertion portion 46 is an approximately cylindrical protrusion that protrudes vertically from the back surface of the shutter support member 17.

The shutter support member 17 is fixed to the frame body 4 by engaging the first engagement portion 40 and the second engagement portion 44 of the frame body 4, as will be described in detail later.

Next, the assembly method of the shutter 12 will be described with reference to Figure 6. Figure 6 is a perspective view showing the engagement between the shutter support member 17 and the shutter plate 19.

First, as shown in FIG. 6, the shutter plate mounting shaft 52 of the shutter support member 17 is inserted into the shutter hole 53 provided in the side wall 48 formed in an upright shape on the side of the shutter plate 19. At this time, the two shutter support members 17 are inserted into the corresponding shutter holes 53 with the shutter plate mounting shafts 52 facing each other. As a result, the shutter plate 19 is fixed to the shutter support member 17 in a state in which it can rotate around the shutter plate mounting shaft 52.

Next, with the shutter plate 19 attached to the shutter support member 17, the shutter 12 is attached to the frame body 4. That is, as shown in FIG. 7, the back surface of the two shutter support members 17 with the shutter plate 19 attached is made to face the inner periphery of the side surface 13a of the frame body 4, and the claw portion 45 of the shutter support member 17 is inserted into the hole portion constituting the first engagement portion 40. When the claw portion 45 is inserted into the hole portion, the shutter support member 17 slides upward until the L-shape of the claw portion 45 engages with the first engagement portion 40. By moving until the L-shape is engaged, the insertion portion 46 and the other hole portion constituting the first engagement portion 40 match, and the insertion portion 46 is inserted into the hole portion, thereby fixing the shutter 12 to the frame body 4. Note that the hole portion into which the insertion portion 46 is inserted is a hole portion other than the hole portion to which the claw portion 45 corresponds.

When the shutter 12 is fixed to the frame 4 as described above, as shown in FIG. 8, the shielding wall surface 43 of the shutter support member 17 protrudes toward the inner periphery of the frame 4, i.e., the inclined high side 51, which is the downstream end of the inclined surface 42, forms the inner periphery of both ends of the blow-out opening. As a result, when the shutter 12 is closed, the shielding wall surface 43 and both side surfaces of the shutter plate 19 overlap, and the shielding wall surface 43 can close the gap formed between the shutter plate 19 and the frame 4 when viewed from the downstream side of the blow-out opening 8 to the front, thereby reducing light leakage and the intrusion of outside wind and rain.

Also, as shown in FIG. 9, the inclined surfaces 42 at the air outlet 8 of the frame 4 form a smooth inner wall of the air passage 9. In other words, even if the shutter support members 17 are provided on the inner surfaces on both sides of the air outlet 8 of the frame 4, the air resistance caused by the shutter support members 17 can be reduced, and a decrease in the ventilation air volume and the generation of abnormal noise can be prevented.

Furthermore, the wall-mounted ventilation fan 1 allows the shutter 12 to be attached and detached to the frame body 4 by sliding the shutter support member 17, which reduces the number of parts such as screws that secure the shutter support member 17 to the frame body 4.

In addition, with such ventilation devices, the opening and closing action of the shutter 12 can deteriorate due to the accumulation of oily smoke and dust over a long period of use. However, by disengaging the shutter support member 17 from the frame body 4, both the shutter 12 and the shutter support member 17 can be removed from the frame body 4, which improves the cleanability of the shutter support member 17 in particular and prevents a decrease in the inherent exhaust capacity of the ventilation device.

The ventilation device of the present invention can be applied to air conditioners and blowers equipped with shutters.
