Claims (13)
- 経路に沿ったRFIDタグの移動方向を検出するシステムであって、
2つのRFIDポータルと、
RFIDタグリーダーと、
を備え、
2つの前記RFIDポータルのそれぞれは、前記経路に沿ったそれぞれの領域で前記RFIDタグを検出するように配置されており、前記領域は互いに排除されるように配置されており、
前記RFIDタグリーダーは、関連付けられたプロセッサおよび複数の分離したポートを有し、各前記ポートは2つの前記RFIDポータルのいずれかに接続されており、前記プロセッサは、どのポータルが前記RFIDタグからの第1の信号を受信するか、及び前記第1の信号を受信したポータルによって検出された同じ前記RFIDタグからの第2の信号をどのポータルが後続して受信するかを決定するように構成されており、
前記プロセッサは、前記第1の信号を受信したポータルから前記後続して前記第2の信号を受信したポータルへの経路に沿って、移動方向に対応する信号を提供し、
複数の前記RFIDポータルのうち、第1のポータルは前記経路の頭上に取り付けられ、第2のポータルは前記経路に隣接する床の上に取り付けられる、システム。 - 前記RFIDポータルは指向特性を有し、各前記RFIDポータルは対応する領域に向けられ、前記RFIDポータルに対応する前記領域は、他の前記RFIDポータルに対応する前記領域から離れる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 複数の前記RFIDポータルは、前記経路に平行な方向に互いに離間している、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 複数の前記RFIDポータルの少なくとも1つは前記経路の上に配置される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記プロセッサは、小型ボードコンピュータによって提供される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2のポータルは前記経路の一方側の床の上に取り付けられ、第3のポータルは前記第2のポータルと反対側の前記経路の側における床の上に取り付けられる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2のポータルはドア開口に隣接し、前記第1のポータルは前記ドア開口から離れている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも3.048m幅である経路に沿って貨物の移動を監視するシステムであって、前記経路の頭上に取り付けられ、その長さがRFIDタグ用の前記経路の全幅をスキャンするのに十分であるポータルと、前記ポータルに接続されたRFIDタグリーダーと、前記経路に隣接する床の上に取り付けられる別のポータルと、を備える、システム。
- 経路に沿って貨物の移動を監視するシステムであって、前記経路より高く、前記システムで用いられる材料搬送装置の高さよりも高い位置にある第1のオーバーヘッドRFIDポータル、貨物搬送装置、前記貨物搬送装置の上にある通常(customary)の貨物の在庫(pile)または積載(stack)の高さと少なくとも同じ高さにあるRFIDタグ、および前記経路に隣接する床の上に取り付けられるRFIDポータルを含む、システム。
- 前記貨物搬送装置はコンテナであり、前記RFIDタグは前記コンテナの上端に取り付けられる、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1のオーバーヘッドRFIDポータルから前記経路の方向に離間した第2のオーバーヘッドRFIDポータルを含む、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 経路に沿った貨物の動きを監視するシステムであって、関連するドア開口の高さと少なくともほぼ同じ高さにある第1のオーバーヘッドRFIDポータル、および前記経路に隣接する床の上に取り付けられる別のRFIDポータルを含み、前記第1のオーバーヘッドRFIDポータルは少なくとも3.048m幅の経路をスキャンすることが可能である長さを有する、システム。
- 前記第1のオーバーヘッドRFIDポータルからの前記経路に沿って離間した第2のオーバーヘッドRFIDポータルを含み、
RFIDタグリーダーは、前記第1のオーバーヘッドRFIDポータルおよび前記第2のオーバーヘッドRFIDポータルの両方のポータルに接続され、各前記ポータルが最初に同じRFIDタグを検出する時期を決定する処理を行い、どのポータルが最初に前記RFIDタグを検出するかによって前記RFIDタグの移動方向を決定する、請求項12に記載のシステム。
