Description

The present invention relates to a packaging box.

Conventionally, a corrugated cardboard packaging box has been known that has four side walls rising from each side of a substantially square bottom panel, and a pair of opposing first side walls have flaps connected to both ends via fold lines and bonded to the adjacent second side wall panel to form a body that surrounds the bottom panel (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

The packaging box described in Patent Document 1 includes a folded plate connected to the first side wall plate via a narrow bridge portion, and the folded plate is folded back toward the first side wall plate while diagonal pieces connected to both side ends of the folded plate via creases are folded toward the inner surface of the packaging box, and the side ends of the diagonal pieces are brought into contact with the second side wall plate, forming a triangular prism-shaped body at the four corners, which is made up of the first side wall plate, the second side wall plate, and the diagonal pieces.

The packaging box described in Patent Document 1 is reinforced by the triangular prisms at the four corners, so it has excellent strength against vertical loads, and can prevent the lower packaging box from being crushed when multiple packaging boxes are stacked vertically.

Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 3-38718

However, the packaging box described in Patent Document 1 has a flat back surface of the bottom panel, so when multiple packaging boxes are stacked one on top of the other, the upper packaging box can move freely relative to the lower packaging box in a direction parallel to the bottom panel, which creates the inconvenience of the risk of the upper packaging box slipping off.

The present invention aims to provide a packaging box that can eliminate such inconveniences and prevent the upper packaging boxes from sliding off when multiple packaging boxes are stacked one on top of the other by restricting the upper packaging boxes from moving in a direction parallel to the bottom panel.

In order to achieve this object, the first packaging box of the present invention is a packaging box made of a first paperboard having a rear bottom plate with a notch at the corner, and a second paperboard having a front bottom plate located on the rear bottom plate, and the packaging box comprises a bottom portion made of the rear bottom plate and the front bottom plate located on the rear bottom plate, a pair of first side wall plates rising from opposing sides of the rear bottom plate, a folded plate connected to the first side wall plate on the side opposite the rear bottom plate via a narrow bridging portion, and a folded plate connected to opposing sides of the front bottom plate that are parallel to the direction connecting the pair of first side wall plates. The packaging box has a pair of second side wall panels rising from the bottom, a pair of flaps connected to both side ends of the second side wall panels via fold lines and sandwiched between the first side wall panel and the folded-back panel, a diagonal piece connected to both side ends of the folded-back panel via fold lines, diagonal from the folded-back panel toward the second side wall panel, and a side end abutting the second side wall panel, a protruding part protruding from an end of the diagonal piece opposite the bottom, and a recessed part located on the back surface of the bottom and corresponding to the notch, and the protruding part abuts the recessed part when multiple packaging boxes are stacked one on top of the other.

The packaging box of the present invention is formed by combining a first paperboard having a rear bottom plate with a notch at the corner, and a second paperboard having a front bottom plate located on the rear bottom plate.

The packaging box of the present invention has a bottom formed by the rear bottom plate and the front bottom plate located on the rear bottom plate, and the bottom is surrounded by a pair of first side wall plates rising from opposing sides of the rear bottom plate and a pair of second side wall plates rising from opposing sides of the front bottom plate parallel to the direction connecting the pair of first side wall plates. At this time, the first side wall plate has a folded plate connected to the opposite side of the rear bottom plate via a narrow bridging portion, and the second side wall plate has a pair of flaps connected to both side ends via fold lines, and the flaps are sandwiched between the first side wall plate and the folded plate.

The folding plate has diagonal pieces connected to both side ends via fold lines, and the diagonal pieces are diagonal from the folding plate toward the second side wall plate, with the side ends abutting the second side wall plate. As a result, the corners of the packaging box of the present invention are reinforced by the diagonal pieces, and multiple packaging boxes can be stacked one on top of the other.

The packaging box of the present invention also includes a protruding portion where the oblique piece protrudes from the end opposite the bottom, and a recessed portion located on the back surface of the bottom and corresponding to the notch, and is configured so that the protruding portion abuts against the recessed portion when multiple packaging boxes are stacked one on top of the other. As a result, when multiple packaging boxes of the present invention are stacked one on top of the other, the protruding portion abuts against the recessed portion, and the bottom of the upper packaging box is held by the protruding portion of the lower packaging box, restricting the upper packaging box from moving in a direction parallel to the bottom, and preventing the upper packaging box from sliding down.

The packaging box of the present invention preferably has four corners with the cutouts that are triangular in plan view, and when the side ends of the oblique pieces abut against the second side wall plate, the folded plate and the second side wall plate form a triangular prism having a cross section that corresponds to the triangular shape of the cutouts, and the protrusions preferably come into line-of-sight contact with the hypotenuse of the triangle of the recess in plan view.

The packaging box of the present invention has such a configuration that the recess corresponding to the cutout is also triangular in plan view, and when multiple packaging boxes are stacked one on top of the other, the protrusion makes linear contact with the hypotenuse of the triangle of the recess, so that the bottom of the upper packaging box is held from all four diagonal sides of the bottom by the protrusion of the lower packaging box. As a result, it is possible to reliably restrict the upper packaging box from moving in a direction parallel to the bottom, and to reliably prevent the upper packaging box from sliding off.

In addition, in the packaging box of the present invention, the first paperboard and the second paperboard are preferably made of corrugated cardboard, the width direction of the first paperboard is parallel to the direction connecting the pair of first side wall panels, and the width direction of the second paperboard is preferably parallel to the direction connecting the pair of second side wall panels.

The cardboard has a corrugated core sandwiched between a front liner and a back liner, and the corrugations are arranged in parallel with each other. In this application, the direction in which the parallel corrugations extend is called the "paper width direction," and the direction that crosses the parallel corrugations is called the "machine direction." The paper width direction and the machine direction are perpendicular to each other.

In the packaging box of the present invention, the first paperboard has a width direction parallel to the direction connecting the pair of first side wall panels, and the second paperboard has a width direction parallel to the direction connecting the pair of second side wall panels, so that the corrugations of the corrugated cardboard are parallel in the vertical direction in the first side wall panel and the second side wall panel, respectively, and excellent strength can be obtained against vertical loads.

In addition, in the packaging box of the present invention, the corrugations of the cardboard of the back bottom plate and the corrugations of the cardboard of the front bottom plate are perpendicular to each other at the bottom, making it difficult for the bottom to bend due to the weight of the items contained in the packaging box.

The second packaging box of the present invention is a packaging box made of a first paperboard having a rear bottom plate with a notch at the corner, and a second paperboard having a front bottom plate located on the rear bottom plate, and the packaging box comprises a bottom portion made of the rear bottom plate and the front bottom plate located on the rear bottom plate, a pair of first side wall plates rising from opposing sides of the front bottom plate, a folded plate connected to the first side wall plate on the opposite side to the front bottom plate via a narrow bridging portion, and a folded plate rising from opposing sides of the rear bottom plate parallel to the direction connecting the pair of first side wall plates. The packaging box is characterized by having a pair of second side wall panels, a pair of flaps connected to both side ends of the second side wall panels via fold lines and sandwiched between the first side wall panel and the folded-back panel, a diagonal piece connected to both side ends of the folded-back panel via fold lines, diagonal from the folded-back panel toward the second side wall panel, and a side end abutting the second side wall panel, a protruding portion protruding from an end of the diagonal piece opposite the bottom portion, and a recessed portion located on the back surface of the bottom portion and corresponding to the notch portion, and the protruding portion abuts the recessed portion when multiple packaging boxes are stacked one on top of the other.

That is, in the first packaging box, the first side wall plate and the folded plate rise from the rear bottom plate with a notch at the corner, and the second side wall plate and a pair of flaps connected to it and sandwiched between the first side wall plate and the folded plate rise from the front bottom plate to form the packaging box. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and in the second packaging box, the first side wall plate and the folded plate rise from the front bottom plate, and the second side wall plate and a pair of flaps connected to it and sandwiched between the first side wall plate and the folded plate rise from the rear bottom plate to form the packaging box.

Therefore, the corners of the packaging box of the second invention are reinforced by the oblique pieces, and multiple packaging boxes can be stacked one on top of the other. Furthermore, when multiple packaging boxes of the present invention are stacked one on top of the other, the protruding portion comes into contact with the recessed portion, and the bottom of the upper packaging box is held by the protruding portion of the lower packaging box, restricting the upper packaging box from moving in a direction parallel to the bottom, and preventing the upper packaging box from sliding off.

Next, the first embodiment of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the attached drawings.

The packaging box 1 of the first embodiment is constructed by combining a first paperboard 2 and a second paperboard 3 shown in FIG. 1. Both the first paperboard 2 and the second paperboard 3 are formed by punching out corrugated cardboard into a predetermined shape.

The first cardboard 2 comprises a rectangular rear bottom plate 21, a pair of first side wall plates 23 connected to opposing sides of the rear bottom plate 21 via a first fold line 22, and a folded plate 25 connected to the first side wall plates 23 on the side opposite the rear bottom plate 21 via a narrow bridging portion 24. The rear bottom plate 21 has right-angled isosceles triangular cutout portions 21a at its four corners, and a narrow rectangular insertion hole portion 21b along the first fold line 22.

The bridging portion 24 has a width equivalent to the thickness of the second paperboard 3, and has a second fold line 24a at the boundary with the first side wall panel 23 and a third fold line 24b at the boundary with the fold-back panel 25. The second fold line 24a and the third fold line 24b are formed parallel to each other with a distance equivalent to the thickness of the second paperboard 3. The upper end of the first side wall panel 23 is cut downward at a location adjacent to the second fold line 24a to form a rectangular wave shape, and the lower end of the fold-back panel 25 is cut upward at a location adjacent to the third fold line 24b to form an inverted convex shape.

The folding plate 25 has a diagonal piece 26 on each side via the fourth fold line 25a, and a pair of first tongue pieces 25b protruding at a position adjacent to the fourth fold line 25a by a length equivalent to the thickness of the second paperboard 3.

The diagonal piece 26 has a width equivalent to the length of the hypotenuse of the right-angled isosceles triangle of the cutout portion 21a. In addition, the diagonal piece 26 has a rectangular protruding portion 26a that protrudes by a length equivalent to the thickness of the first paperboard 2 from the end opposite the rear bottom plate 21 when the packaging box 1 is made. The first paperboard 2 is arranged so that the paper width direction of the cardboard is parallel to the direction connecting the pair of first side wall plates 23, 23.

On the other hand, the second paperboard 3 has a rectangular front bottom plate 31, a pair of second side wall plates 33 connected to opposing sides of the front bottom plate 31 via a fifth fold line 32, and a pair of flaps 35 connected to both side ends of the second side wall plate 33 via a sixth fold line 34. The front bottom plate 31 also has a second tongue 31a protruding from the center of the side adjacent to the fifth fold line 32 by a length equivalent to the thickness of the first paperboard 2, and a third tongue 31b protruding from both ends of the side by a length equivalent to the thickness of the first paperboard 2, and a recess 31c between the second tongue 31a and the third tongue 31b. The second paperboard 3 has a corrugated board paper width direction parallel to the direction connecting the pair of second side wall plates 33, 33.

Next, the method for assembling the packaging box 1 of this embodiment will be described with reference to FIG.

When assembling the packaging box 1, first, the first side walls 23, 23 of the first paperboard 2 are folded along the first fold line 22 so as to rise from the rear bottom plate 21. The second side walls 33, 33 of the second paperboard 3 are folded along the fifth fold line 32 so as to rise from the front bottom plate 31, while the pair of flaps 35 are folded along the sixth fold line 34 so as to face each other.

At this time, the first cardboard 2 has a width direction of the cardboard parallel to the direction connecting the pair of first side wall panels 23, 23, and the second cardboard 3 has a width direction of the cardboard parallel to the direction connecting the pair of second side wall panels 33, 33. Therefore, in the first side wall panel 23 and the second side wall panel 33, the corrugations of the cardboard are parallel in the vertical direction, respectively, and excellent durability against vertical loads can be obtained.

Next, as shown by the arrow in Figure 2, the second paperboard 3 is superimposed on the first paperboard 2 so that the front bottom plate 31 of the second paperboard 3 is positioned on the back bottom plate 21 of the first paperboard 2. At this time, the direction connecting the first side wall plates 23, 23 of the first paperboard 2 is perpendicular to the direction connecting the second side wall plates 33, 33 of the second paperboard 3. By doing so, the corrugation of the cardboard of the back bottom plate 21 of the first paperboard 2 and the corrugation of the cardboard of the front bottom plate 31 of the second paperboard 3 are perpendicular to each other.

Next, the fold plate 25 of the first cardboard 2 is folded toward the first side wall plate 23 along the second fold line 24a and the third fold line 24b, and the flap 35 is sandwiched between the first side wall plate 23 and the fold plate 25. When the fold plate 25 is folded as described above, the first tongue piece 25b is inserted into the recess 31c of the second cardboard 3, and the fold plate 25 is fixed in place. Next, the diagonal piece 26 is folded along the fourth fold line 25a, and the side edge is abutted against the second side wall plate 33, completing the packaging box 1 shown in FIG. 3.

As shown in FIG. 3, the packaging box 1 of this embodiment has a bottom 4 consisting of a rear bottom plate 21 and a front bottom plate 31 located on the rear bottom plate 21, a pair of first side wall plates 23 rising from opposing sides of the rear bottom plate 21, and a pair of second side wall plates 33 rising from opposing sides of the front bottom plate 31 parallel to the direction connecting the pair of first side wall plates 23. The second side wall plates 33 have a pair of flaps 35 (not shown) on each side end, and the flaps 35 are sandwiched between the first side wall plate 23 and a folded plate 25 connected to the first side wall plate 23 via a bridging portion 24.

The packaging box 1 also has a diagonal piece 26 that diagonally extends from the folded plate 25 toward the second side wall plate 33, and the side ends of the diagonal piece 26 abut against the second side wall plate 33, forming a triangular prism 5 that is a right-angled isosceles triangle in cross section with the first side wall plate 23 and the second side wall plate 33 at the four corners of the packaging box 1. At this time, the width of the diagonal piece 26 is equivalent to the hypotenuse of the right-angled isosceles triangle of the cutout portion 21a, so the cross-sectional shape of the triangular prism 5 is the same as that of the cutout portion 21a.

The diagonal piece 26 also has a protruding portion 26a that protrudes from the end opposite the rear bottom plate 21. The protruding portion 26a protrudes by a length equivalent to the thickness of the first paperboard 2.

The packaging box 1 has a triangular recess 6 on the back surface of the bottom 4, which corresponds to the notch 21a, due to the front bottom plate 31 being positioned on the rear bottom plate 21. The recess 6 has a depth equivalent to the thickness of the first paperboard 2.

Next, referring to FIG. 4, we will explain the effect of stacking multiple packaging boxes 1 of this embodiment one on top of the other.

As described above, the packaging box 1 of this embodiment has triangular prisms 5 in the shape of right-angled isosceles triangles in cross section at the four corners, and a recess 6 in the shape of a right-angled isosceles triangle on the back surface of the bottom 4. The cross-sectional shape of the triangular prisms 5 is the same as that of the cutouts 21a, in other words, the same as that of the recess 6. In addition, the oblique piece 26 that forms the hypotenuse of the right-angled isosceles triangle in cross section of the triangular prisms 5 has a protruding portion 26a that protrudes to a length equivalent to the thickness of the first paperboard 2, and the recess 6 has a depth equivalent to the thickness of the first paperboard 2.

When multiple packaging boxes 1 of this embodiment are stacked one on top of the other, the protruding portion 26a of the diagonal piece 26 of the lower packaging box 1 comes into surface contact (planar line-of-sight contact) with the hypotenuse of the right-angled isosceles triangle of the recess 6 of the upper packaging box 1. As a result, the bottom 4 of the upper packaging box 1 is held from all four diagonal directions of the bottom 4 by the protruding portion 26a of the lower packaging box 1, reliably restricting the upper packaging box 1 from moving in a direction parallel to the rear bottom plate 21 and reliably preventing the upper packaging box 1 from sliding off.

At this time, the bridge portion 24 of the lower packaging box 1 is inserted into the insertion hole portion 21b of the upper packaging box 1, so that the upper packaging box 1 is further restricted from moving in a direction parallel to the rear bottom plate 21, and the upper packaging box 1 is reliably prevented from sliding down.

In this embodiment, the cross-sectional shape of the triangular prism 5, the cutout portion 21a, and the recess 6 are all in the shape of a right-angled isosceles triangle, but the cross-sectional shape of the triangular prism 5, the cutout portion 21a, and the recess 6 may be the same triangular shape and do not have to be an isosceles triangle.

In addition, in this embodiment, the shape of the protrusion 26a is rectangular and is made to abut against the hypotenuse of the right-angled isosceles triangle of the recess 6 with planar line-of-sight contact, but the shape of the protrusion 26a may be any shape, such as triangular or wavy, as long as it can abut against the recess 6, and the contact state with the recess 6 is not limited to planar line-of-sight contact, and may be any state, including planar viewpoint contact.

Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 5. In the first embodiment, the first side wall plate 23 and the folded back plate 25 are connected to the rear bottom plate 21 having a notch 21a at the corner, and the second side wall plate 33 is connected to the front bottom plate 31. However, the present invention is not limited to this. The second embodiment of the packaging box 10 will be described with the first side wall plate 23 and the folded back plate 25 connected to the front bottom plate 121, and the second side wall plate 33 connected to the rear bottom plate 131 having a notch 131a at the corner.

In the following, the same components as in the first embodiment will be given the same reference numerals, and their explanation will be omitted, with only the differences being explained.

The third paperboard 30 comprises a rectangular front bottom plate 121, a pair of first side wall plates 23 connected to opposing sides of the front bottom plate 121 via a first fold line 22, and a folded plate 25 connected to the first side wall plates 23 on the side opposite the front bottom plate 121 via a narrow bridging portion 24. The front bottom plate 121 has a narrow rectangular insertion hole portion 21b along the first fold line 22.

The bridging portion 24 has a width equivalent to the thickness of the fourth paperboard 30, and has a second fold line 24a at the boundary with the first side wall plate 23 and a third fold line 24b at the boundary with the fold-back plate 25. The second fold line 24a and the third fold line 24b are formed parallel to each other with a gap equivalent to the thickness of the fourth paperboard 30. The fold-back plate 25 has diagonal pieces 26 on both side ends via the fourth fold line 25a, and a pair of first tongue pieces 25b protruding at a position contacting the fourth fold line 25a by a length equivalent to the thickness of the third paperboard 30.

The diagonal piece 26 has a width equivalent to the length of the hypotenuse of the right-angled isosceles triangle of the cutout portion 131a described below. The third cardboard 30 has a paper width direction parallel to the direction connecting the pair of first side wall panels 23, 23.

The fourth cardboard 30, on the other hand, comprises a rectangular rear bottom plate 131, a pair of second side wall plates 33 connected to opposing sides of the rear bottom plate 131 via a fifth fold line 32, and a pair of flaps 35 connected to both side ends of the second side wall plate 33 via a sixth fold line 34. The rear bottom plate 131 has right-angled isosceles triangular cutouts 131a at its four corners.

The fourth paperboard 30 also has a rectangular protrusion 131b on its side edge that spans the second side wall 33 and the flap 35 and protrudes a length equivalent to the thickness of the third paperboard 30.

The fourth cardboard 30 has a width direction parallel to the direction connecting the pair of second side wall panels 33, 33.

Next, we will explain how to assemble the packaging box 1 of this embodiment.

When assembling the packaging box 1, the second side wall panels 33, 33 of the fourth paperboard 30 are then folded along the fifth fold line 32 so that they rise from the rear bottom panel 131.

Next, the third paperboard 20 is superimposed on the fourth paperboard 30 so that the front bottom plate 121 of the third paperboard 20 is positioned on the back bottom plate 131 of the fourth paperboard 30. This causes the corrugations of the cardboard on the back bottom plate 131 of the fourth paperboard 30 and the corrugations of the cardboard on the front bottom plate 121 of the third paperboard 20 to intersect at right angles to each other.

Next, the pair of flaps 35 of the fourth paperboard 30 are folded opposite each other along the sixth fold line 34.

The first side walls 23, 23 of the third paperboard 20 are folded along the first fold line 22 so as to rise from the front bottom plate 121. These first side walls 23, 23 come into contact with the back side of the flap 35 of the first paperboard 2.

Next, the fold-back plate 25 of the third paperboard 20 is folded toward the first side wall plate 23 along the second fold line 24a and the third fold line 24b, and the flap 35 is sandwiched between the first side wall plate 23 and the fold-back plate 25. At the same time, the diagonal piece 26 is folded along the fourth fold line 25a, and the side edge is abutted against the second side wall plate.

Furthermore, when the folding plate 25 is folded as described above, the first tongue piece 25b is inserted into the insertion hole portion 21b, thereby fixing the folding plate 25. With the above steps, the packaging box 10 is completed.

When multiple packaging boxes 10 of this embodiment are stacked one on top of the other, a right-angled isosceles triangular protrusion formed by the protrusion 26a of the diagonal piece 26 of the lower packaging box 10 and the protrusion 131b that is bent at a right angle and protrudes upward comes into contact with the back surface of the front bottom plate 121 through the cutout 131a of the back bottom plate 131. As a result, the bottom 4 of the upper packaging box 10 is held from all four diagonal directions of the bottom 4 by the protrusions of the lower packaging box 10, reliably restricting the upper packaging box 10 from moving in a direction parallel to the back bottom plate 131 and reliably preventing the upper packaging box 1 from sliding off.

1...packaging box, 2...first paperboard, 3...second paperboard, 4...bottom, 6...recess, 21...rear bottom plate, 21a...notch, 23...first side wall plate, 25...fold plate, 26...diagonal piece, 31...front bottom plate, 33...second side wall plate, 35...flap.
