Description

The present invention relates to a clasp and a wristwatch.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a three-fold clasp equipped with a cover member or the like has been known as a clasp provided at a connecting portion of a band of a wristwatch or the like (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
The cover member constitutes the exterior surface of the clasp and is the part that is visible together with the links of the band when the band is fastened. Therefore, the design of the band can be improved by applying decoration to the cover member that constitutes the exterior surface of the clasp.

Patent No. 4641098

However, because the clasp is a part that comes into contact with the wrist each time the watch or other watch to which the band is attached is put on or taken off, simply attaching a decorative member to the surface or fitting it into a recess runs the risk of the decoration coming off when the clasp is repeatedly operated.
On the other hand, if the decorative member is fixed to the exterior surface of the clasp by means of screws or the like, the number of parts increases, and the number of steps required for assembly also increases, resulting in increased costs.

The present invention was made in consideration of the above circumstances, and aims to provide a clasp and wristwatch with excellent design by applying decoration to the cover member that is difficult to remove without increasing the number of parts.

In order to solve the above problems, the buckle according to the present invention comprises:
a cover member having a first opening and a second opening formed on an exterior surface;
a first decorative member inserted into the first opening of the cover member;
a second decorative member inserted into the second opening of the cover member,
The first decorative member is formed with a first fitting portion, and the second decorative member is formed with a second fitting portion,
The first fitting portion and the second fitting portion are in a fitted state on the rear side of the cover member.

The present invention has the effect of providing a clasp and wristwatch with excellent design by applying a decoration to the cover member that is difficult to remove without increasing the number of parts.

The locking unit 7 comprises a unit body 71 and a connecting portion 72 provided at one end thereof (in this embodiment, the end located on the first band 1a side, the right end in Figure 3, etc.) and fitted into the cutout portion 532 of the cover member connecting portion 53 of the middle plate 5.
The connecting portion 72 has an axial hole formed therein that penetrates in the width direction of the band 1, and when the connecting portion 72 is fitted into the cutout portion 532 of the middle plate 5, the through hole 531 of the cover member connecting portion 53 and the axial hole of the connecting portion 72 are connected to each other.

The unit body 71 is formed with an opening/closing window 73 that is engaged with the engaging projection 44 of the lower plate 4 when the clasp 10 is in the folded state (folded in three). In addition, push buttons 74 protrude from both sides of the unit body 71.
The unit body 71 has a built-in locking mechanism including a spring or the like (not shown), and when the push button 74 is pressed inward, the opening and closing window 73 opens to receive the locking portion 442 of the locking projection 44, and when the push button 74 is released, the opening and closing window 73 closes due to the restoring force of the spring or the like (not shown), sandwiching the locking portion 442 of the locking projection 44. In this way, the locking projection 44 is locked to the locking unit 7.
Incidentally, the locking mechanism built into the unit body 71 can be of various known constructions, and therefore detailed description thereof will be omitted.

The cover member 3 is positioned so as to overlap the outer surfaces of the lower plate 4 and the middle plate 5 when the clasp 10 is folded (i.e., when the first band 1a and the second band 1b are connected by the clasp 10), and constitutes the external appearance of the clasp 10.
The cover member 3 has an exterior portion 31 that constitutes an exterior surface of the cover member 3. The exterior portion 31 is formed in a long, flat plate shape. A pair of side walls 32 are vertically provided on both sides of the exterior portion 31.

The cover member 3 is made of, for example, metals such as titanium, stainless steel (SUS), and aluminum, ceramics, etc. The materials constituting the cover member 3 are not limited to those exemplified here. For example, the cover member 3 may be made of hard synthetic resins such as ABS resin, super engineering plastics such as polyarylate (PAR), and engineering plastics such as polyacetal (POM) and polycarbonate (PC).
Furthermore, if the cover member 3 is made of the same material as the link body 11 that constitutes the first band 1a and the second band 1b, the clasp 10 portion becomes less noticeable, and it is possible to realize a band 1 with an excellent appearance as if the first band 1a and the second band 1b were one continuous piece, which is preferable.

At one end of the side wall portions 32, shaft holes 33 for connecting the cover member 3 to the free end side of the second band 1b are provided at corresponding positions on each of the pair of side wall portions 32.
In this embodiment, the link body 11 provided on the free end side of the second band 1b is formed with a connecting through hole (not shown) that penetrates in the width direction of the link body 11 (i.e., the width direction of the band 1), and the axial hole 33 of the side wall portion 32 is positioned at a position corresponding to this through hole of the link body 11.
A connecting shaft (not shown) is inserted into the through hole of the link body 11 and both ends of the connecting shaft are engaged with shaft holes 33 formed in a pair of side wall portions 32, so that one end side of the cover member 3 is freely rotatably attached to the free end side of the second band 1b via the connecting shaft.
The cover member 3 and the second band 1b need only be connected in such a way that the second band 1b can be rotated relative to the cover member, and the configuration is not limited to that exemplified here.

2 and 3, it is preferable that a plurality of shaft holes 33 are provided along the longitudinal direction of the band 1 at corresponding positions on each of the pair of side walls 32. By providing a plurality of shaft holes 33 along the longitudinal direction of the band 1 in this manner, it becomes possible to easily fine-tune the length of the band 1 by changing the shaft hole 33 to which the connecting shaft 13 is engaged, without having to attach or detach the link body 11, etc.
In this embodiment, an example is shown in which four axial holes 33 corresponding to each of a pair of side wall portions 32 are provided as axial holes for adjusting the band length, but the number of axial holes 33 is not limited to this and may be more or less than this.

The other end of the pair of side wall portions 32 is provided with a connecting shaft hole 34 into which an end of a connecting shaft 54 for connecting the cover member 3 to the other end of the middle plate 5 is fitted.
As described above, in this embodiment, the connecting shaft 54 is inserted into the through hole 531 formed in the cover member connecting portion 53 of the middle plate 5 and the axial hole formed in the connecting portion 72 of the locking unit 7 to connect the middle plate 5 and the locking unit 7, and then both ends of the connecting shaft 54 are fitted into a pair of axial holes 34 provided in the side wall portion 32 of the cover member 3, so that the middle plate 5, cover member 3, and locking unit 7 are each connected to each other so as to be freely rotatable via the connecting shaft 54.

An opening 35 is formed between the shaft holes 33 and 34 in the pair of side wall portions 32, into which a push button 74 of the locking unit 7, which will be described later, is fitted.
The locking unit 7 is held in a predetermined position within the cover member 3 by the connecting portion 72 being pivotally supported on the side wall portion 32 of the cover member 3 together with the middle plate 5 and the push button 74 being fitted into the opening 35 .

A pair of openings 37 (a first opening and a second opening) are formed in the exterior portion 31 that constitutes the exterior surface of the cover member 3. In this embodiment,
In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 3 and other figures, a pair of rectangular openings 37 are arranged in a substantially straight line at a predetermined interval along the longitudinal direction of the band 1 .
As described below, a decorative member 8 (8a, 8b) is attached to each opening 37.

As shown in Fig. 3 etc., a pair of decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) are provided corresponding to the openings 37 of the cover member 3. A portion of each of the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) is inserted into the pair of openings 37 from the exterior surface side of the cover member 3 (the upper side of the exterior part 31 in Fig. 2).
The decorative member 8 is formed of a hard synthetic resin, such as ABS resin, super engineering plastics such as polyarylate (PAR), polyacetal (POM), polycarbonate (PC), and other engineering plastics. Note that the materials constituting the decorative member 8 are not limited to those exemplified here. Depending on the shape and configuration, the decorative member 8 may be formed of metals such as titanium, stainless steel (SUS), and aluminum, ceramics, glass, and the like.

Fig. 4(a) is a side view of the first decorative member 8a, Fig. 4(b) is a perspective view of the first decorative member 8a seen from diagonally above, Fig. 5(a) is a side view of the second decorative member 8b, Fig. 5(b) is a perspective view of the second decorative member 8b seen from diagonally above.
In this embodiment, a pair of decorative members 8, the first decorative member 8a and the second decorative member 8b, have different shapes, but both have member main bodies 81a, 81b and legs 82a, 82b (plate-shaped tongue portions) provided on the underside of the member main bodies 81a, 81b.
In this embodiment, the portion of the decorative member 8 (8a, 8b) that is inserted into the opening 37 of the cover member 3 is the legs 82a, 82b and a portion of the member bodies 81a, 81b.

The member bodies 81a, 81b are formed so that the widthwise length of the band 1 and the longitudinal length (extension direction) of the band 1 are smaller than the opening 37 of the cover member 3, and are inserted into the opening 37 together with the leg portions 82a, 82b described below.
A flange portion 83 is formed on the outer periphery of the upper end of the member main bodies 81a, 81b, which abuts against the edge of the opening 37 and protrudes around the opening 37. When the decorative member 8 (8a, 8b) is attached to the cover member 3, the lower surface of the flange portion 83 abuts against the exterior surface (surface of the exterior part 31) of the cover member 3. This prevents the entire member main bodies 81a, 81b from falling out of the opening 37, and maintains the upper surfaces of the member main bodies 81a, 81b exposed to the exterior surface (surface of the exterior part 31) of the cover member 3.

The shapes of the member bodies 81a and 81b are not limited to the illustrated example.
The member bodies 81a and 81b may be appropriately hollowed out to reduce weight.
Furthermore, the upper surfaces of the member bodies 81a and 81b need only be larger than the opening 37 of the cover member 3 and large enough to cover the entire opening 37, and the shape thereof does not have to be the same as that of the opening 37. For example, when the opening 37 is rectangular, the upper surfaces of the member bodies 81a and 81b may be various polygonal, circular, elliptical, or the like large enough to cover the opening 37.
The upper surfaces of the member bodies 81a and 81b may be provided with patterns, various logos, etc., or may be decorated by embedding decorative pieces made of glass or the like.
When the upper surfaces of the member bodies 81a, 81b are configured in this way, the design of the cover member 3 to which the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) are attached can be further improved.

As shown in Figures 4(a), 4(b), 5(a), and 5(b), the legs 82a and 82b are plate-shaped tongues extending from the lower ends of the member bodies 81a and 81b. The legs 82a and 82b are formed such that the length in the width direction of the band 1 is smaller (narrower) than the width of the opening 37 of the cover member 3, so that they can be inserted into the opening 37 of the cover member 3.
When the decorative member 8 (8a, 8b) is attached to the cover member 3, the legs 82a, 82b extend in directions facing each other, and at least their tip portions overlap when positioned inside the cover member 3 on the back side of the exterior portion 31.
The legs 82a, 82b may have any shape as long as they are partially overlapped, and the shape, size, etc. are not limited to the illustrated example. For example, the legs 82a, 82b may have different widths as in the illustrated example, or may be formed to have the same width.

4(a) and 4(b), a first fitting portion 84 is formed on leg portion 82a, which is the portion inserted into opening 37 of first decorative member 8a, which is one of decorative members 8 on one side. In this embodiment, first fitting portion 84 is a protrusion formed on the back side (the lower side in FIG. 4(a)) of leg portion 82a.
5(a) and 5(b), the leg 82b, which is the portion inserted into the opening 37 of the second decorative member 8b that is the other decorative member 8, is formed with a second fitting portion 85 configured to be able to fit into the first fitting portion 84. In this embodiment, the first fitting portion 84 is a hole portion formed in the leg 82b at a position corresponding to the first fitting portion 84. When inserted into the opening 37, the first fitting portion 84 and the second fitting portion 85 are in a fitting state on the non-visible side of the cover member 3 (the back side of the cover member 3, i.e., the back side of the exterior portion 31).
In this embodiment, the first fitting portion 84 which is a protrusion is press-fitted into the second fitting portion 85 which is a hole.

In addition, it is preferable to provide a dowel or the like on at least one of the outer periphery of the convex portion which is the first fitting portion 84 and the inner periphery of the hole portion which is the second fitting portion 85, so as to have a structure that prevents the fitting from coming loose when pressed in.
The first fitting portion 84 and the second fitting portion 85 may be any suitable portion as long as they are capable of fitting together, and the shapes thereof are not limited to those shown in the figures.
For example, the second fitting portion 85 provided on the leg 82b of the second decorative member 8b may be a convex portion, and the first fitting portion 84 provided on the leg 82a of the first decorative member 8a may be a receiving portion (hole portion) that corresponds to this convex portion and receives the convex portion.
The receiving portion for receiving the protrusion may be a hole penetrating the leg portion 82b as shown in Figs. 5(a) and 5(b), or may be a recess not penetrating the leg portion 82b.

Next, the operation of the clasp of this embodiment and the wristwatch 100 to which it is applied will be described.
In this embodiment, the band 1 is constructed by attaching a first band 1a to one band attachment portion 25 of the main body case 21 of the watch body 2, attaching a second band 1b to the other band attachment portion 25, and attaching a clasp 10 at a position connecting the free ends of the first band 1a and the second band 1b.
When attaching the clasp 10 to the band 1, the free end side of the first band 1a is attached to the first band connection portion 42 on the lower plate 4 of the clasp 10, the connecting shaft 13 is inserted into the free end side of the second band 1b, and both ends of the connecting shaft 13 are fitted into the shaft hole 33 in the cover member 3, thereby attaching the second band 1b to the cover member 3.
In addition, the middle plate 5 is attached to the lower plate 4 by inserting the shaft member 431 through the middle plate connecting portion 43 of the lower plate 4 and the lower plate connecting portion 52 of the middle plate 5 .

Next, the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) are attached to the cover member 3.
Fig. 6(a) is a side cross-sectional view showing the state in which the first decorative member is attached to the cover member, and Fig. 6(b) is a perspective view of the state in which the first decorative member is attached to the cover member, as viewed from the back side of the exterior part. Note that Fig. 6(a) shows a cross-section of only the exterior part 31 of the cover member 3, and illustrates a side view of the first decorative member 8a attached to the exterior part 31.
The first decorative member 8a is inserted from the opening 37 (first opening) provided on the side where the shaft hole 33 for adjusting the band length is formed, among the openings 37 of the cover member 3. Specifically, the first decorative member 8a is inserted from the free end side of the leg 82a to the back side of the exterior part 31 of the cover member 3, with the free end of the leg 82a facing the other opening 37 (second opening).
As shown in Figures 6(a) and 6(b), the first decorative member 8a is inserted into the opening 37 until the flange portion 83 of the member main body 81a abuts the upper surface of the exterior portion 31, so that only the upper surface of the member main body 81a is exposed on the upper surface of the exterior portion 31, and the remaining portion is positioned on the back side of the exterior portion 31.

As described above, the shaft hole 33 for adjusting the band length is provided on the non-visible side (back side) of the cover member 3, at one end in the longitudinal direction of the band 1 (the left side in Figs. 6(a) and 6(b)), and some of the link bodies 11 that make up the band 1 are disposed therein. When it is particularly desired to shorten the band 1, the leading link body 11 is engaged with the rightmost shaft hole 33 out of the multiple shaft holes 33, and the following link body 11 is disposed on the non-visible side (back side) of the cover member 3.
For this reason, it is desirable to leave a certain amount of space below the exterior part 31 of the cover member 3 on the side where the axial hole 33 is provided, and it is preferable that the first decorative member 8a attached to the opening 37 on the side where the axial hole 33 is provided is formed to be smaller (thinner) in thickness in the thickness direction of the band 1 than the second decorative member 8b provided on the other side.
As a result, even when the leading link body 11 is engaged with the shaft hole 33 located on the far right side, interference between the link body 11 and the cover member 3 or component member 40 can be avoided when opening and closing the clasp 10.
Both the member body 81a and the legs 82a of the first decorative member 8a may be thin, or only the member body 81a located in a position that is particularly likely to interfere with the piece body 11 may be thin. The extent to which the first decorative member 8a is made thinner than the other, second decorative member 8b is appropriately determined based on the shape and thickness of the piece body 11, the positional relationship between the shaft hole 33 of the cover member 3 and the opening 37 (first opening) to which the first decorative member 8a is attached, and other factors.

Fig. 7(a) is a side cross-sectional view showing the state where the second decorative member 8b is attached to the cover member to which the first decorative member 8a is attached as shown in Fig. 6(a) and Fig. 6(b), and Fig. 7(b) is a perspective view showing the state where the second decorative member 8b is attached to the cover member as viewed from the back side of the exterior part. Note that Fig. 7(a) shows only the exterior part 31 of the cover member 3 in cross section, and illustrates the side views of the first decorative member 8a and the second decorative member 8b attached to the exterior part 31.
After the first decorative member 8a is attached, as shown in Figures 7(a) and 7(b), the second decorative member 8b is inserted from the opening 37 (second opening) of the cover member 3 that is provided on the side where the shaft hole 34 is formed. Specifically, the second decorative member 8b is inserted from the free end side of the leg 82b to the back side of the exterior part 31 of the cover member 3 with the free end of the leg 82b facing the other opening 37 (first opening).

As shown in Figures 7(a) and 7(b), the second decorative member 8b is inserted into the opening 37 until the flange portion 83 of the member main body 81b abuts the upper surface of the exterior portion 31, so that only the upper surface of the member main body 81b is exposed on the upper surface of the exterior portion 31, and the remaining portion is positioned on the back side of the exterior portion 31.
In this state, a portion of the tip side of the leg 82b of the second decorative member 8b overlaps a portion of the tip side of the leg 82a of the first decorative member 8a, and a convex portion serving as a first fitting portion 84 on the leg 82a is pressed into a receiving portion (hole portion) serving as a second fitting portion 85 on the leg 82b, thereby integrating the first decorative member 8a and the second decorative member 8b.

Furthermore, after inserting the shaft 54 through the cover member connecting portion 53 of the middle plate 5 and the connecting portion 72 of the locking unit 7, each end of the shaft 54 is fitted into the shaft hole 34 of the cover member 3. Also, by fitting the push button 74 of the locking unit 7 into the opening 35 of the cover member 3, the push button 74 is made to protrude to the outside (side portion) of the cover member 3. As a result, the middle plate 5 and the locking unit 7 are locked to the cover member 3.
This completes the assembly of the clasp 10. The assembly procedure of the clasp 10 is not limited to the above.

Figure 8 is a side cross-sectional view of the clasp 10 in a folded state (three-fold state) in which the non-visible side (rear side) component 40 of the cover member 3 to which the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) are attached is overlapped, and Figure 9 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the area IX indicated by the dashed line in Figure 8.
As shown in FIGS. 8 and 9 , in this embodiment, a component 40 is disposed below the decorative members 8 ( 8 a , 8 b ) that are fitted around the rear surface side of the exterior portion 31 of the cover member 3 .
In particular, in this embodiment, the locking unit 7 of the component 40 is disposed inside the cover member 3, below the second decorative member 8b.
In this embodiment, the second decorative member 8b of the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) is arranged so that the distance between the member body 81b (the lower surface 86 of the member body 81b in this embodiment) and the component member 40 (the locking unit 7 in this embodiment) is smaller (narrower) than the thickness of the leg 82b (tongue portion). As a result, even if there is play between the convex portion that is the first fitting portion 84 and the receiving portion (hole portion) that is the second fitting portion 85, causing rattling, the second decorative member 8b can only be lowered to a position where the lower surface 86 of the member body 81b abuts against the upper surface of the locking unit 7. In other words, it can only be lowered to a distance narrower than the thickness of the leg 82b (tongue portion). Therefore, the convex portion that is the first fitting portion 84 is prevented from coming off the receiving portion (hole portion) that is the second fitting portion 85, and the fitted state can be maintained.

As described above, the push button 74 of the locking unit 7 is fitted into the opening 35 of the cover member 3, so that the positional relationship with the exterior portion 31 of the cover member 3 does not change when the clasp 10 is in the folded state (tri-fold state) shown in Figures 8 and 9, or even when the clasp 10 is released.
As a result, whether the clasp 10 is in the connected or released state, the distance between the second decorative member 8b attached to the exterior portion 31 and the member main body 81b is maintained narrower than the thickness of the leg portion 82b (tongue portion), preventing the second decorative member 8b and the first decorative member 8a connected thereto from coming off the cover member 3.

When fastening (connecting) the clasp 10, the lower plate 4, the middle plate 5 and the cover member 3 are folded in three, the push button 74 of the locking unit 7 is pushed in to open the opening/closing window 73 and receive the locking portion 442 of the locking protrusion 44, and the push button 74 is released to close the opening/closing window 73 and sandwich the locking portion 442 of the locking protrusion 44 within the opening/closing window 73. This keeps the locking unit 7 locked to the locking protrusion, and the clasp 10 is in a connected state in which the first band 1a and the second band 1b are connected.
To release the connection of clasp 10, push button 74 is pressed again to release the locking state of locking projection 44. This releases the connection of clasp 10, making band 1 removable.

As described above, according to this embodiment, in the clasp 10 of the band 1 having the cover member 3 and the component member 40 overlapping the non-visible side of the cover member 3, a pair of openings 37 are formed in the exterior portion 31, which is the exterior surface of the cover member 3, and a portion of a pair of decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) is inserted into the pair of openings 37 from the surface side of the exterior portion 31 of the cover member 3, a first fitting portion 84 is formed in the portion of one of the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) that is inserted into the opening 37, and a second fitting portion 85 that is configured to be able to fit into the first fitting portion 84 is formed in the portion of the other of the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) that is inserted into the opening 37, and the first fitting portion 84 and the second fitting portion 85 are configured to be in a fitted state on the non-visible side of the cover member 3 when inserted into the opening 37.
This eliminates the need for a separate part compared to when fixing by screwing or the like, and makes it possible to fix the decorative member 8 (8a, 8b) so that it does not come off the opening 37 while reducing the number of parts; it also enables the decorative member 8 (8a, 8b) to improve the design of the clasp 10.
In addition, since the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) are integrated on the back side of the cover member 3, the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) are unlikely to come off even when subjected to impact, without affecting the appearance of the clasp 10.

Furthermore, the decorative member 8 (8a, 8b) of this embodiment has a flange portion 83 that abuts the edge of the opening 37 and protrudes around the opening 37 in the portion exposed on the surface of the exterior portion 31 that constitutes the exterior face.
With this configuration, it is possible to prevent gaps from being generated around the opening 37 in external appearance, thereby realizing a high level of design.
Furthermore, by the flange portion 83 being caught on the edge of the opening 37 , the entire decorative member 8 ( 8 a , 8 b ) can be prevented from falling into the inside of the opening 37 .

In this embodiment, the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) have member bodies 81a, 81b and legs 82a, 82b (tongue portions) extending from the member bodies 81a, 81b toward the other decorative member 8 (8a, 8b), and among these, the second decorative member 8b is disposed so that the distance between it and the component member 40 is smaller (narrower) than the thickness of the legs 82b (tongue portions). Specifically, the gap between the lower surface 86 of the member body 81b and the locking unit 7, which is the component member 40, is configured to be smaller (narrower) than the thickness of the legs 82b (tongue portions).
This prevents the second decorative member 8b from descending further than the thickness of the leg portion 82b (tongue portion), more reliably preventing the mating portions of the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) from coming loose.
In addition, the component member 40 that is positioned so as to narrow the gap with the underside 86 of the member main body 81b may be a member other than the locking unit 7 as long as it maintains its positional relationship with the exterior portion 31 of the cover member 3 in both the connected and disconnected states of the clasp 10.

Furthermore, in this embodiment, a portion of the link body 11 that constitutes the band 1 is arranged on the non-visible side of the cover member 3, which is one end of the band 1 in the longitudinal direction, and the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) that are arranged on the side where the link body 11 is arranged (in this embodiment, the first decorative member 8a) is thinner in the thickness direction of the band 1 than the decorative member that is arranged on the other side (in this embodiment, the second decorative member 8b).
As a result, even when the leading link body 11 is locked so as to provide the shortest band length that can be adjusted by the axial hole 33, the link body 11 does not interfere with the cover member 3 or the component member 40 when opening and closing the clasp 10, and the clasp 10 can be operated smoothly.
In addition, the first decorative member 8a and the second decorative member 8b are configured to have different thicknesses in the thickness direction of the band 1. Therefore, when the first decorative member 8a and the second decorative member 8b are inserted and attached in the opening 37 in the reversed manner (for example, when the second decorative member 8b is attached to the opening 37 (first opening) on the left side of FIG. 6(a)), a part of the link body 11 constituting the band 1 comes into contact with the second decorative member 8b, and the clasp 10 cannot be closed. This makes it possible to prevent the first decorative member 8a and the second decorative member 8b from being attached in the reversed manner.

In this embodiment, either the first fitting portion 84 or the second fitting portion 85 is a convex portion having an anti-slip structure, and the other of the first fitting portion 84 and the second fitting portion 85 is a receiving portion (a through hole portion or a recess portion) that corresponds to the convex portion and receives the convex portion.
This allows the first fitting portion 84 and the second fitting portion 85 to have a fitting configuration that is more difficult to come off, using a simple structure.

In addition, if a wristwatch is configured with a band 1 equipped with a clasp 10 as shown in this embodiment, and a watch body 2 to which this band 1 is attached, a watch with a band 1 having an excellent appearance can be created by applying decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) to the parts that are visible when worn on the wrist, and a wristwatch 100 with excellent design can be realized.

Although the above describes an embodiment of the present invention, it goes without saying that the present invention is not limited to such an embodiment and various modifications are possible without departing from the spirit of the invention.

For example, in each of the above embodiments, an example is shown in which two rectangular openings 37 are arranged along the longitudinal direction of the band, but the size, shape, arrangement, etc. of the openings 37 are not limited to the illustrated examples.
The size, shape, and placement of the opening 37 are determined appropriately depending on the size and shape of the decorative member 8 (8a, 8b) and the desired position of the decorative member 8 (8a, 8b) on the exterior surface of the cover member 3.
For example, the shape of the opening 37 does not have to be rectangular. The pair of openings 37 may have different shapes. The pair of openings 37 is not limited to being arranged along the longitudinal direction of the band 1. For example, they may be arranged along the width direction of the band 1, or may be arranged diagonally with respect to the longitudinal direction or width direction of the band 1. The number of openings 37 is not limited to one pair, and two or more pairs may be provided. By changing the arrangement of the openings 37 and the number of openings 37, the arrangement of the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) can be changed in various ways, and a clasp 10 with excellent design can be obtained.

Furthermore, the shapes and configurations of the first and second fitting portions that fit the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) together are not limited to those exemplified in the embodiment.
For example, as shown in Figures 10 and 11, a cutout portion 94 may be provided on one side (the first decorative member 9a in the illustrated example) of the legs 92a, 92b, which are flat tongue-shaped portions of the decorative member 9 (9a, 9b), and a protrusion 95 shaped to fit in planarly with this cutout portion 94 may be provided on the other side (the second decorative member 9b in the illustrated example).
In this case, as shown in FIG. 11, the decorative members 9 (9a, 9b) are fitted in a planar manner at a position substantially flush with the underside of one of the member main bodies 91a (the first decorative member 9a in the illustrated example).
With this configuration, the thickness can be reduced (thinned) by the thickness of one of the legs 92a, 92b, which are flat tongue-shaped portions, compared to when the two legs are overlapped and fitted together.
In this case too, the thickness of the member body 91b on the other side (the second decorative member 9b in the illustrated example) is made thicker than the thickness on one side (the first decorative member 9a in the illustrated example), and its underside 96 is positioned so that the distance (gap) between it and the component member 40 (the locking unit 7 in the illustrated example) is smaller (narrower) than the thickness of the leg portion 92b (tongue portion).
This prevents the second decorative member 9b from descending further than the thickness of the leg portion 92b (tongue portion), thereby preventing the mating portions of the decorative members 9 (9a, 9b) from coming loose.

In addition, in this embodiment, an example is given of a case in which both of the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) have member main bodies 81a, 81b and leg portions 82a, 82b (plate-shaped tongue portions) extending from the member main bodies 81a, 81b toward the other decorative member 8 (8a, 8b), but the configuration of the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) is not limited to this.
The legs 82a, 82b (plate-shaped tongue portions) need only be provided on at least one of the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b); for example, one of the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) may be composed only of a member main body having a first fitting portion on its underside, and only the other of the decorative members 8 (8a, 8b) may be provided with a member main body and legs (plate-shaped tongue portions) extending from the member main body, and this leg (plate-shaped tongue portion) may be provided with a second fitting portion that fits into the first fitting portion.
In this case, legs (plate-shaped tongue portions) are provided on both decorative members 8 (8a, 8b), and the thickness of one leg portion (plate-shaped tongue portion) can be made smaller (thinner) than when these are overlapped and fitted together.
In addition, in the present embodiment, the decorative member 8 includes the first decorative member 8a and the second decorative member 8b, but the first decorative member 8a may be singular or plural, and the second decorative member 8b may be singular or plural. For example, when there is one first decorative member 8a and two second decorative members 8b, it is sufficient that the first fitting portion of the first decorative member 8a and the second fitting portions of the second decorative members 8b are fitted together.

The configuration of the exterior portion 31 of the cover member 3 is not limited to the illustrated example. For example, the portion where the flange portion 83 of the decorative member 8 (8a, 8b) is located may be recessed by the height (thickness) of the flange portion 83. This allows the upper surfaces of the member bodies 81a, 81b exposed on the surface of the exterior portion 31 to be flush with the surface of the exterior portion 31, resulting in a clasp 10 that is decorated with the decorative member 8 (8a, 8b) but does not get caught on fingers or nails.

In addition, in each of the above embodiments, the band 1 is described as being composed of multiple link bodies 11, but the band to which the clasp of the present invention can be applied is not limited to being composed of multiple link bodies 11. For example, the band 1 (first band 1a and second band 1b) may be made of urethane resin, leather, or the like, and the clasp of the present invention may be applied to the buckle portion that connects the first band 1a and the second band 1b.

In addition, in each of the above embodiments, the clasp 10 is provided on the band 1 of the wristwatch 100, but the band to which the clasp of the present invention can be applied is not limited to a wristwatch band.
The clasp of the present invention can be widely applied to any band having a structure that includes a first band and a second band that are connected by a clasp.
