連結体は、前後の受台を屈曲させる屈曲中心となる前後いずれかの受台に設けられた回転軸を回動自在に支持するとともに、前後の受台にそれぞれ設けられた挿通孔と符合する連結孔を設け、連結孔と前後いずれかの受台に設けられた挿通孔とを選択ピンで連結することで、前後の受台を屈曲させる屈曲中心が前後いずれかの受台に設けられた回転軸に変更されて、前後の受台を屈曲させる屈曲中心を前後に変更できるようにしたことを特徴とするリクライニング式ベッド。
