Description

This invention relates to a kimono having a cut-out pattern fabric that is cut out in any shape attached thereto, and a method for attaching this cut-out pattern fabric to a kimono fabric.

Kimonos are made through a process in which a pattern is applied to kimono fabric made of silk or synthetic fibers such as polyester by dyeing (hand painting or stencil dyeing, etc.) or printing (inkjet printing or transfer printing, etc.), a process in which the fabric is cut along the cutting lines that will form each component part of the kimono, and a tailoring process in which each component part of the cut kimono fabric is sewn together.
On the other hand, the value of a kimono can be increased by adding a new aesthetic expression such as cutting out kimono fabric or other fabrics other than kimono fabric, synthetic sheets, leather, etc. into any shape and attaching this cut-out pattern to the kimono fabric.
Furthermore, by making the cut-out pattern consistent with the design of the kimono fabric, an even more aesthetic effect can be achieved.
Thus, when the cut-out pattern fabric is attached to the kimono fabric, it must be attached without deviating from the intended attachment location, and if a pattern is formed at the intended attachment location of the cut-out pattern fabric, it must be attached without deviating from the pattern. Furthermore, Patent Document 3 discloses a patterned fabric for kimonos and the like and a printing method for the patterned fabric, in which each unit pattern is formed symmetrically to each other at a specified width inward from the edge of the patterned fabric so that when adjacent patterned fabrics are sewn together, the unit patterns match up.

Problem to be solved by the invention

The transfer pattern fabric of the above-mentioned [Patent Document 1] is made by copying a pattern drawn on paper or the like, and this transfer pattern fabric is sewn onto a kimono to increase the value of the kimono.
On the other hand, when attaching a cut-out pattern fabric of a different material as an aesthetic means for expressing the kimono, a common method is to create image data of the pattern on a display screen using a computer image processing system, then convert this image data into cut-out formation data, and create the cut-out pattern fabric based on the cut-out formation data using an NC cutter device or the like connected to a computer.
However, after a kimono fabric has been dyed or printed with a design or pattern, it goes through a steaming process to fix the color and bring out the color, a washing process to remove impurities and dirt other than the dye or ink, and a drying process before being made into a finished product. As a result, the fabric shrinks overall during these processing steps, and the rate of shrinkage varies depending on the orientation of the warp and weft threads in the kimono fabric and on the material.
On the other hand, the cut-out pattern fabric is formed with the attachment position on the kimono fabric in mind in advance, and when this attachment position is assumed to be a plain part of the kimono fabric, if the attachment position of the cut-out pattern fabric is decided by eye for each component part of the kimono fabric (described in detail below), then due to the influence of shrinkage of each component part of the kimono, the attachment position may shift from the assumed attachment position after the kimono is made, which may result in the intended aesthetic effect being lost or the uniformity of the product being lost.

Furthermore, when the cut-out pattern fabric is sewn onto the kimono fabric while each component part of the kimono fabric is attached to an embroidery frame, the kimono fabric is stretched before being attached to the embroidery frame, and the kimono fabric's elongation rates in the warp and weft directions differ, distorting the pattern or design of the kimono fabric, making the above-mentioned misalignment even more noticeable.

Furthermore, as in Patent 2, when the cut-out pattern is a sticker or sheet with an adhesive on the back side that is attached to the kimono fabric, if the kimono fabric stretches, it will not be possible to attach it accurately to the intended location.
Also, if the material and thickness of the sticker are the same as the kimono fabric, there will be less of a noticeable contrast effect when attached to the kimono fabric.
Therefore, it is desirable that the cut-out pattern material be made of a material that is different from the kimono fabric in terms of thickness, texture, or light reflection, etc., to create a striking contrast effect.

In addition, the kimono fabric in [Patent 3] is cut into each component part of the kimono, which is then joined and sewn together to make a kimono. However, when cut-out patterns are attached to adjacent patterns on each of these components, the shrinkage of the kimono fabric during the processing process causes adjacent patterns to shift or deform, and the outline of the cut-out patterns is no longer continuous, which results in a significant loss of the intended aesthetic effect.
Furthermore, when sewing a cut-out pattern to adjacent parts of the kimono fabric, if the parts are cut at adjacent points, there is a risk of fraying at the cut parts, and on the other hand, if the cut parts are sewn together with an overlock or embroidery, the continuity of the shape of the cut-out pattern will be lost.

Means for solving the problem

The present invention relates to a kimono having a cut-out pattern attached thereto and a method for attaching the cut-out pattern to a kimono fabric, and the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 14.

The kimono 1 is made of a kimono fabric 2 made of natural or chemical fibers such as silk or polyester threads, and a pattern 3 is formed on the kimono fabric 2 by dyeing or printing.
FIG. 1 shows an example of the front of a kimono 1, and a pattern 3 is formed continuously at intervals in the longitudinal direction on the kimono fabric 2.
The pattern 3 is an example of a small pattern, while FIG. 2 shows an example of the back of the kimono 1, in which the pattern 3 is an example of a discontinuous pattern.
In addition, the kimono 1 of this invention has a cutout pattern ground 4 attached to a key part of the overall design.

As shown in FIG. 3(a), the kimono 1 is made of a long roll of cloth 5, and on this roll of cloth 5, each component part 6 of the kimono 1 is divided by marks and lines. Each component part 6 is made up of a right body part 6a, a left body part 6b, a right sleeve 6c, a left sleeve 6d, a right hem 6e, a left hem 6f, a main collar 6g, and a hanging collar 6h. Each component part 6 has a pattern 3 formed thereon, and is cut along cutting lines 7.
FIG. 3(b) shows the details of the left body 6b of each component part 6. This left body part 6b has a seam allowance 8 formed on the outside. With each component part 6 in a predetermined position as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, it is sewn into a kimono 1 by using an imaginary sewing line 9 on the inside of the seam allowance 8 as a guide.
In addition, an imaginary sewing line 9 is formed by scoring the kimono fabric 2 using the marks (F) at the four corners of the left body 6b as reference points, and an imaginary line 10 indicates the shoulder 11 of the kimono 1.
In addition, in (b), the pattern 3 is formed in adjacent portions of each component part 6, but in this embodiment, when adjacent component parts 6 are sewn together, the pattern 3 is formed to extend from an imaginary sewing line 9 to a cutting line 7 so that the pattern 3 is continuous.
Among the patterns 3 on the kimono fabric 2, the pattern 3 at the intended location for attaching the cut-out pattern ground 4 has a pattern 13 used as a base and dyed or printed thereon.
In addition, the pattern 13 which also serves as a base pattern and is formed in adjacent parts of the component parts 6 as in the above embodiment is formed, like the pattern 3, to extend from the imaginary sewing line 9 to the cutting line 7 so that the base pattern 13 is continuous when the adjacent component parts 6 are sewn together.
As described above, the pattern 3 that can also be used as a base is formed by making the outer and inner shapes of the pattern 3 approximately identical to those of the pattern 3 at the intended location of attachment of the cut-out pattern ground 4, and is used in combination with the pattern 3. In cases where other intended locations of attachment of the cut-out pattern ground 4 on the kimono fabric 2 are plain, or in the case of a pattern 3a as shown in Figure 2, a base 12 that is approximately identical to the outer and inner shapes of the cut-out pattern ground 4 is formed.

FIG. 4 shows an example of an atari 12 or a pattern that can be used as both an atari and a pattern, in which (b) and (c) are lines or dashed lines indicating the attachment position of the cut-out pattern ground 4, (d) is a mark indicating the attachment range, and (a) is a solid pattern 3, or a pattern 3 with varying shades, or the outer diameter and inner shape are dyed or printed on the kimono ground 2 so as to resemble the pattern 3.
The pattern 3, the outline 12, and the pattern 13 that can be used as both an outline and a pattern are drawn on a display screen by a computer image processing system, and the pattern 3 or the outline 12 and the pattern 13 that can be used as both an outline and a pattern are arranged based on an image of the outline of each component part 6 of the kimono 1 in Figure 1 or Figure 2. Next, after the component parts 6 are disassembled, they are arranged on the cloth 5 as shown in Figure 3 to create dyeing or printing image data.
Using the image data, a printing pattern or transfer paper is created and used to dye the kimono fabric 2, or the kimono fabric 2 is printed on by an inkjet printer. Next, the kimono fabric 2 is cut and sewn to each component part 6 to complete the kimono 1.

In providing the kimono 1 having the cutout pattern fabric 4 attached to the kimono fabric 2, the cutout pattern fabric 4 is attached in a location that will produce the most aesthetic effect when the kimono 1 is made, taking into consideration economic rationality, as shown in Figures 1 and 2.
The attachment location of the cut-out pattern ground 4 on the kimono fabric 2 is presumed, and the atari 12 or the pattern 13 serving as atari and the like is formed at this assumed attachment location, so that even if the assumed attachment location of the cut-out pattern ground 4 on the kimono fabric 2 is a plain pattern, the cut-out pattern ground 4 can be attached without deviating from the assumed attachment location.
When the kimono fabric 2 has a small pattern continuing in a certain pattern and the cut-out pattern ground 4 is attached to any of the designs 3, the attachment position of the cut-out pattern ground 4 can be distinguished from the other designs 3 by forming a pattern 13 which also serves as a base.

The cut-out pattern fabric 4 may be made of the same or different material as the kimono fabric 2, and may be made of natural fibers, synthetic fibers, synthetic seals, synthetic leather, natural leather, etc. Alternatively, it may be made of a three-dimensional raised fabric 4a in consideration of the contrast with the kimono fabric 2, or it may be made of velvet, felt, flocked fabric, sheet-like seals 4b, or metal foil.
Since the cut-out pattern ground 4 is attached to the outline 12 of the kimono ground 2 or the outline/pattern 13, the cut-out data can be created by converting the outer shape or inner diameter of the image of the outline 12 or the outline/pattern 13 into cut-out data, and the cut-out data can be used to cut out the kimono ground 2 using an NC cutter device or the like connected to the computer.

As mentioned above, the kimono fabric 2 shrinks during processing such as steaming, washing and drying after dyeing or printing; for example, it shrinks by about 3 cm to 5 cm for an average length of 11.4 m of a roll of fabric, and by about 2 to 3 cm for a width of 36 cm (this amount varies depending on the material and the degree of processing). Even if the fabric is stretched to correct the shrinkage after drying, it still shrinks relatively, so the atari 12 or the atari/pattern 13 will shrink and deform.
Therefore, if the cut-out pattern ground 4 is cut out based on image data of the outline 12 or the outline/combined pattern 13, when it is attached to the outline 12 or the outline/combined pattern 13 of the kimono ground 2, the outline 12 or the outline/combined pattern 14 will be shrunk as shown by the two-dot chain line in Figure 6(a) so that the cut-out pattern ground 4 will be attached in an offset position, or if the outline 12 or the outline/combined pattern 13 is deformed as shown in Figure 6(c), the outline 12 or the outline/combined pattern 13 will protrude from the outer shape of the cut-out pattern ground 4.
As described above, when the cutout pattern ground 4 is attached to the picture 3 at the intended attachment location, it is larger than the other pictures 3, so it creates a sense of incongruity with the other pictures 3, and on the other hand, if the attachment position of the cutout pattern ground 4 is biased, the balance with the other pictures 3 is lost.
Also, as shown in FIG. 4(e), when the pattern 3 has a complicated shape such as a floral pattern, the pattern 13 serving as a guide is formed by the outline of the pattern 3 and the inner diameter line dividing the interior, and the cutout pattern ground 4 is attached to fit the divided range.
As shown in FIG. 4(e), when the cut-out pattern ground 4 is a combination of a plurality of ground patterns, the deviation or misalignment from the pattern 13 serving as a guide becomes more apparent.

Furthermore, when an atari 12 or a pattern 13 that doubles as a atari 12 is formed at the adjacent locations of each component part 6 of the kimono fabric 2 as shown in Figure 3 (b), even if adjacent atari 12 or patterns 13 that double as atari 12 are formed so as to be continuous when placed face to face, the shrinkage of the kimono fabric 2 differs depending on the material and the degree of processing, and also differs at the ends and center of the roll of cloth 5, so that when adjacent sewing lines 7 are placed face to face and sewn, adjacent atari 3 or patterns 13 will be misaligned.

Furthermore, as shown in Figures 6(e) and 11(b), when the kimono fabric 2 is attached to an embroidery frame 15, 16 and the cut-out pattern fabric 4 is sewn and embroidered with a computer sewing machine or the like, the kimono fabric 2 itself is pulled when attached, so that the outline 12 or the outline/picture 13 stretches and deforms.
As described above, if the cutout pattern ground 4 is attached to the kimono ground 2 in a manner that is misaligned or deviates from the atari 12 or the atari/combined pattern 13, the original purpose of attaching the cutout pattern ground 4, which is to enhance the aesthetic effect and value of the kimono 1, will not be achieved.

In this invention, the cut-out pattern ground 4 is attached so as not to deviate from or deviate from the intended attachment location of the kimono ground 2 or the picture 3 at the intended attachment location, and when the kimono ground 2 has completed processing such as color fixing after dyeing or printing, the atari 12 or the pattern 13 which also serves as the atari is read, the read data is converted into cut-out formation data, and the cut-out pattern ground 4 is formed by the cut-out formation data.
When a cut-out pattern fabric 4 is sewn onto the kimono fabric 2 after the above-mentioned processing steps, the kimono fabric 2 is attached to the embroidery frames 15, 16, and the outline 12 or the pattern 13 used as the outline is read, the read data is converted into cut-out forming data, and the cut-out pattern fabric 4 is formed by the cut-out forming data.
The reading means is a scanning or copying means such as a fixed scanner, a hand scanner, or a copier, or a photographing means such as a smartphone or a camera. These reading means are connected to a computer, and the read data is converted into cut-out forming data on a display screen, and a cut-out pattern 4 is formed by a cut-out forming device such as an NC cutter device connected to the computer.

FIG. 5 shows a cut-out pattern fabric 4 formed by cutting out based on the read data of the kimono fabric 2 after the processing steps such as color fixing, in which (a) shows an example in which the pattern fabric 4 is made to match the outer shape of the atari 12 or atari pattern 13, (b) shows an example in which the cut-out pattern fabric 4 is made smaller than the atari 12 or atari combined pattern 13 to make it easier to attach the cut-out pattern fabric 4 to the inside of the atari 12 or atari combined pattern 13, (c) and (b) show cut-out pattern fabrics 4 attached to adjacent parts of each component part 6, and this cut-out pattern fabric 4 is formed by extending outward from the imaginary sewing line 9, like the atari 12 or atari combined pattern 13, and (e) shows a cut-out pattern fabric 4 attached to a part defined by the outer and inner outlines of the atari 12 or atari combined pattern 13.

FIG. 6 shows the cutout pattern fabric 4 attached to the kimono fabric 2, FIGS. 6(a) and 9(a) show an example where it is sewn with thread 17, FIG. 6(b) shows an example where parts of the kimono fabric 2 are sewn to adjacent parts, FIGS. 6(c) and 9(b) show an example where the cutout pattern fabric 4 is a sticker 4b and is adhered to adjacent parts of the kimono fabric 2, and FIG. 6(d) shows an example where the cutout pattern fabric 4 is a sticker 4b and parts of the kimono fabric 2 are adhered to adjacent parts.
FIG. 7(a) shows an example in which, when sewing a cut-out pattern fabric 4 to a kimono fabric 2, the cut-out pattern fabric 4 is temporarily fixed by applying pressure and heat with an iron or the like via an adhesive seal 18 in order to temporarily secure the cut-out pattern fabric 4 and sew it. FIG. 7(b) shows an example in which the cut-out pattern fabric 4 is a napped fabric 4a or a seal 4b. In the case of the napped fabric 4a, the cut-out pattern fabric 4 is temporarily fixed by applying a small amount of adhesive such as glue to the back side. In the case of the cut-out pattern fabric 4 being a seal 4b, an adhesive layer is formed on the back side and the fabric is adhered by peeling off the release paper.

FIG. 8 shows an example in which a cut-out pattern fabric 4 is sewn onto a kimono fabric 2 by embroidery. By increasing or decreasing the width of the embroidery stitches using a computer sewing machine or the like in accordance with a set program, an embroidery pattern can be added and attached to the cut-out pattern fabric 4.

Figures 10, 11 and 12 show examples in which a cutout pattern fabric 4 is sewn to adjacent portions of the kimono fabric 2. In Figures 10(a) and (b), the cutout pattern fabric 4 is sewn to the outside from the imaginary sewing line 9, in the same way as the atari 12 or the atari combined pattern 13. Therefore, when the kimono fabric 2 is tailored as shown in Figures (11), (a) and 12(a), the adjacent portions are sewn without being cut, so that the adjacent portions do not become fuzzy or frayed. Also, the raised fabric 4a in the adjacent portions can be sewn with the raised nap pressed down, so that no gaps are generated at the joints between the cutout pattern fabric 4 and the kimono fabric 2.
FIG. 12(b) shows a case where the cutout pattern base 4 is a sticker 4b, and similarly to the above, the sticker 4b does not peel off or stand up at adjacent portions.

A method for attaching the cut-out pattern fabric 4 to the kimono fabric 2 is shown in FIG. 13 and FIG.
FIG. 13 shows STEP 1, a process of dyeing or printing an atari 12 or a pattern 13 that doubles as an atari on the intended location of the cut-out pattern ground 4 or a picture 3 on the intended location of the cut-out pattern ground 4 on the kimono fabric.
STEP 2: A process for treating the kimono fabric 2 after dyeing or printing, such as color fixing.
STEP 3: A process of reading the atari 12 or the atari/pattern 13 of the kimono fabric 2 after the processing process by a reading device connected to a computer.
STEP 4: A process of converting the read and photographed data of the rough guide 12 or the rough guide and picture 13 into cut-out formation data of the cut-out pattern ground 4.
STEP 5: A process of cutting out the cut-out pattern ground 4 by a cutting device connected to a computer based on the cut-out forming data.
STEP 6: A process of attaching the cut-out pattern fabric 4 to the intended attachment location or to the intended attachment pattern on the kimono fabric 2.
By the above method, the cut-out pattern ground 4 can be attached to the kimono ground 2 at the intended location or without deviation from the picture 3 at the intended location.

FIG. 14 shows STEP 1, a process of dyeing or printing an atari 12 or a pattern 13 that can be used as an atari and a pattern on a kimono fabric 2 at a location where a cutout pattern fabric 4 is to be attached or on a pattern 3 at a location where the cutout pattern fabric 4 is to be attached.

STEP 7: A step of temporarily fixing the cut-out pattern fabric 4 formed by cutting out the pattern to the atari 12 or the atari/pattern 13 of the kimono fabric 2 attached to the embroidery frames 15 and 16.
STEP 8: A process of sewing the cut-out pattern fabric 4, which is temporarily attached to the kimono fabric 2, to the kimono fabric 2.
By the above method, the cut-out pattern ground 4 can be attached to the kimono ground 2 at the intended location and without deviation from the picture 3 at the intended location.
