なお、本願発明は、電動等の自動式のシャッター装置、及び手動式のシャッター装置に適用することが可能である。

前記工程によれば、図8(b)に示すように、鍔部12aの幅方向端部(エッジ状部分12a1)がガイドレール20から比較的大きく引き離され、立上り片部12bの厚肉部12b2が、ガイドレール20の外側に比較的大きく露出する。
このため、座板部材12の幅方向端部側に、座板キャップ13を装着するための作業が容易になる。

前記したように、座板キャップ13を座板部材12に嵌め合わせる作業では、座板キャップ13を開閉方向に沿うように回転させると、座板部材12に対し座板キャップ13を容易に嵌め合わせることができる。
これらの作業は、第二被覆部13bがガイドレール20の幅広部21aに位置するため、例えば、開閉体10の閉鎖途中位置で作業する場合と比較して容易である。

止着具14は、頭部と軸部からなるリベットであり、前記軸部が、第一片部13b1、座板部材12の立上り片部12b、第二片部13b2等に挿通され、その先端側がかしめられる。
このように、新たな座板キャップ13を座板部材12に止着するために、座板部材12の座板キャップ係止部12b1は用いなくてもよい。
