Description

The present invention relates to a gutter decorative plate that is attached to an L-shaped bent eaves gutter to prevent rainwater from jumping over the gutter.

Conventionally, a gutter trim plate is attached to the gutter so that the eaves panel does not get wet even if rainwater flows from the roof at the inside corner into the gutter and splashes back (Patent Document 1).

However, the eaves gutter decorative plate described in Patent Document 1 is an attachment part that corresponds to the shape of the ear of one eaves gutter, and if the shape of the ear of the eaves gutter is different, it cannot be attached to the eaves gutter, and it was necessary to prepare an eaves gutter decorative plate for each different shape of the ear of the eaves gutter.

This disclosure was made in consideration of these issues, and a single eaves gutter decorative plate can be attached to multiple eaves gutters.

The eaves gutter decorative plate according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is attached to the front ear of the eaves gutter arranged at the inside corner of the roof. The eaves gutter decorative plate has a decorative plate body that prevents rainwater from jumping over the eaves gutter, and a mounting portion that is provided below the decorative plate body and clamps the front ear and attaches to the front ear. The decorative plate body has a bottom wall portion at its lower end and a standing wall portion that stands upright from the bottom wall portion. The mounting portion has an abutment portion that extends downward from the front end of the bottom wall portion and abuts against the front surface of the ear provided in front of the front ear, and a locking portion that is provided behind the bottom wall portion and locks against the rear surface of the ear provided behind the front ear, thereby clamping the front ear. The locking portion has a plurality of fitting surfaces that correspond to different types of rear surfaces of the ear. One surface of the locking portion has a first mating surface having a shape corresponding to the shape of the rear surface of the ear of one eaves gutter and abuts against the rear surface of the ear, and the second surface of the locking portion has a second mating surface having a shape corresponding to the shape of the rear surface of the ear of the second eaves gutter and abuts against the rear surface of the ear. The locking portion is characterized in that the mating surface corresponding to the shape of the rear surface of the ear is selectively provided on the bottom wall portion facing forward.

The eaves gutter structure according to one aspect of the present disclosure comprises the eaves gutter decorative plate and an eaves gutter provided at the eaves edge.

The eaves gutter decorative plate of the present disclosure allows a single eaves gutter decorative plate to be attached to multiple eaves gutters.

As shown in FIG. 1, the eaves gutter decorative plate 100 is attached to the eaves gutter 200 located at the inside corner of the roof 300. As shown by W in FIG. 1, rainwater flows from the roof 300 to the eaves gutter 200, and flows toward the inside corner of the roof 300, where it joins and flows into the inside corner of the eaves gutter 200. Depending on the amount of rainwater, it may jump over the eaves gutter 200, so the eaves gutter decorative plate 100 is used to prevent the rainwater from jumping over the eaves gutter 200.

The eaves gutter 200 has a front wall 210, a bottom wall 220, and a rear wall (not shown), and further has a front ear 211 at the top of the front wall 210. The eaves gutter decorative plate 100 is attached to the front ear 211 and is provided above the front wall 210.

The eaves gutter decorative plate 100 will be explained in more detail using Figures 2 to 5.

As shown in FIG. 2, the eaves gutter decorative plate 100 has a decorative plate body 110 that prevents rainwater from jumping over the eaves gutter 200, and an attachment portion 140 that is provided below the decorative plate body 110 and clamps the front ear portion 211 to attach it to the front ear portion. The decorative plate body 110 has a bottom wall portion 120 at its lower end, and a standing wall portion 130 that stands upright from the bottom wall portion 120. The standing wall portion 130 prevents rainwater from jumping over the eaves gutter 200.

2 and 3, the mounting portion 140 has an abutment portion 141 extending downward from the front end of the bottom wall portion 120 and abutting against the front ear portion 212 provided in front of the front ear portion 211, and a plurality of (two in the illustrated example) locking portions 142 provided at the rear of the bottom wall portion 120 and locking against the rear ear portion 213 provided at the rear of the front ear portion 211. The eaves gutter decorative plate 100 is attached to the eaves gutter 200 by clamping the front ear portion 211 using the abutment portion 141 and the plurality of locking portions 142. In addition, as shown in FIG. 5, the abutment portion 141 may abut against the upper end of the front wall 210 of the eaves gutter 200, in which case the upper end of the front wall 210 against which the abutment portion 141 abuts may be the front ear portion 212.

As shown in Figures 3, 4, and 5, the locking portion 142 has multiple (four in the illustrated example) mating surfaces 143 that correspond to different types of ear rear surfaces 213. A first surface of the mating surface 143 of the locking portion 142 has a first mating surface 144 that has a shape that corresponds to the shape of the ear rear surface 213 (see Figures 3 and 4) of the first eaves gutter, and a second surface of the mating surface 143 of the locking portion 142 has a second mating surface 145 that has a shape that corresponds to the shape of the ear rear surface 213 (see Figures 4 and 5) of the second eaves gutter.

As shown in FIG. 3, by providing the locking portion 142 on the bottom wall portion 120 with the first mating surface 144 facing forward, the front ear portion 211 can be clamped using the abutment portion 1141 and the first mating surface 144, and the eaves gutter decorative plate 100 can be attached to the first eaves gutter. Also, as shown in FIG. 5, by providing the locking portion 142 on the bottom wall portion 120 with the second mating surface 145 facing forward, the front ear portion 211 can be clamped using the abutment portion 141 and the second mating surface 145, and the eaves gutter decorative plate 100 can be attached to the second eaves gutter. Therefore, by selectively providing the locking portion 142 on the bottom wall portion 120 with the mating surface 143 corresponding to the shape of the ear rear surface 213 facing forward, it becomes possible to attach the eaves gutter decorative plate 100 to different types of eaves gutter 200, and it becomes possible to reduce the number of types of eaves gutter decorative plates 100.

The locking portion 142 may also be formed integrally with the bottom wall portion 120. In that case, the locking portion 142 is formed integrally with the bottom wall portion 120 with the first fitting surface 144 facing forward, so that the eaves gutter decorative plate 100 can be attached to the first eaves gutter. As shown in FIG. 6, when attaching the eaves gutter decorative plate 100 to the second eaves gutter, the locking portion 142 is cut off from the bottom wall portion 120 with a saw, cutter, or scissors. The cut-off locking portion 142 is attached to the bottom wall portion 120 so that the second fitting surface 145 faces forward. The method of attaching the locking portion 142 to the bottom wall portion 120 is not important as long as the locking portion 142 can be attached to the bottom wall portion 120, such as by bonding with an adhesive or fastening with screws. By selectively cutting and separating the locking portion 142 from the bottom wall portion 120 to match the shape of the ear rear surface 213, and attaching the mating surface 143, which has a shape corresponding to the shape of the ear rear surface 213, facing forward, it becomes possible to attach the eaves gutter decorative plate 100 to different types of eaves gutter 200.

In the illustrated example of FIG. 2, multiple (two in the illustrated example) locking portions 142 are provided, but as long as the eaves gutter decorative plate 100 can be stably attached to the eaves gutter 200, there may be only one locking portion 142.

As a result, one eaves gutter decorative plate 100 can be selectively attached to multiple eaves gutters 200. This makes it possible to reduce the number of different types of eaves gutter decorative plates 100.

In addition, by combining the eaves gutter decorative plate 100 of this embodiment with the eaves gutter 200 attached to the eaves of a building, it is possible to provide an eaves gutter structure that makes it difficult for rainwater to jump over the eaves gutter 200.
