Below, an embodiment of the present invention will be explained using the drawings. (Overall configuration of splash prevention panel)
Fig. 1 is a front view of a splash prevention panel 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention. In the splash prevention panel 1 of this embodiment, a transparent panel 2 having a height of about 80 cm is independently arranged on an L-shaped stand base 4. As a countermeasure against infectious diseases with high infectiousness, it is not enough to be able to temporarily block splashes as in the past, and it is necessary to frequently disinfect the panel. However, if an acrylic panel is frequently wiped with a disinfectant such as alcohol, the acrylic plate will become cloudy. Therefore, in this embodiment, a PET member (polyethylene terephthalate) is used as the material for the transparent panel 2. The PET member has excellent alcohol resistance and will not become cloudy even if wiped with a disinfectant such as alcohol. In addition, as for the material, a material having excellent alcohol resistance and weather resistance such as PC (polycarbonate) or PVC (polyvinyl chloride) may be appropriately used. Conversely, the present invention does not exclude the use of an acrylic plate as the material for the transparent panel 2. As described later, this embodiment has an advantageous structure for cleaning the transparent panel 2, which makes it easy to deal with a cleaning method that involves wiping with water and wiping off, which is somewhat cumbersome. Therefore, it would certainly be advantageous to use an alcohol-resistant PET material or the like, but even if an acrylic plate is used instead, the invention still has sufficient significance.
Returning to the present embodiment, it is not sufficient to use a PET material or the like. If the lower part of the transparent panel 2 were simply fixed to the stand base 4, the PET material would bend easily during use and vibrate because it does not have the same rigidity as an acrylic plate. To solve this problem, in the splash prevention panel 1 of this embodiment, the support member 3 supports the upper and lower parts of the transparent panel 2 by tying them together in an inverted V shape, thereby reducing the flexibility of the transparent panel 2. The transparent panel 2 of this embodiment has a total of six screw holes drilled at predetermined positions, two at the top and four at the bottom.
The support member 3 is composed of a main pipe portion and joint portions for screwing and fixing to the transparent panel 2 or the stand base 4 at the top and bottom, and is U-shaped in side view. As shown in Fig. 3, the stand base 4 is composed of a stand main body portion 41 and a stand auxiliary member 42, and the vertical wall portion and horizontal plate portion of the stand main body portion 41 form an L-shape. It is assumed that a cash register drawer, a POS terminal, or a weighing device for selling by weight will be placed on the horizontal plate portion of the stand main body portion 41. In these usage modes, the weight of the equipment causes the stand base 4 to be placed stably on the cash register (around the cash register), and the splash prevention panel 1 will not accidentally fall over.
Of course, it can also be used in a configuration in which the drawer is placed under the counter. In that case, it is preferable to take measures to stabilize the stand base 4.

(Stand base configuration)
4 is an enlarged view of part A in FIG. 3, and FIG. 5 is a further enlarged view of FIG. 4, showing the state in which the transparent panel 2 has been removed. As already mentioned, the stand main body 41 is L-shaped with a vertical wall portion and a horizontal plate portion. The stand auxiliary member 42 has an auxiliary front wall 421, and supports the transparent panel 2 by sandwiching and fixing the transparent panel 2 between the vertical wall portion of the stand main body 41. The auxiliary front wall 421 is bent with a part of its lower edge extended, and functions as a panel stopper 424 when the transparent panel 2 is inserted (see also FIG. 9). The stand main body 41 and the auxiliary front wall 421 have holes drilled at positions corresponding to the four holes at the bottom of the transparent panel 2, and the distance between these holes and the panel stopper 424 is predetermined, so that the positioning of the vertical height is completed by inserting the transparent panel 2 to the back where it hits the panel stopper 424. The panel stopper 424 provides a gap between the transparent panel 2 and the top surface of the table counter, making it possible to deal with unevenness caused by poor processing accuracy; however, if there is absolutely no concern about unevenness, the panel stopper 424 of this embodiment can be eliminated and the top surface of the horizontal plate portion of the stand main body 41 can be made to function as the panel stopper.
The stand auxiliary member 42 has an auxiliary bottom surface portion 423, which is attached to the horizontal plate portion of the stand main body portion 41 and fixed by welding. With this configuration, the stand main body portion 41 and the stand auxiliary member 42 have an integrated structure that will not separate from each other even if they are not screwed together. The auxiliary side wall 422 serves to increase the rigidity or support force of the stand auxiliary member.

Incidentally, the inventor of the present invention initially tried to prototype a splash prevention panel in which the stand main body 41 and the stand auxiliary member 42 were not integrated into one body, but the transparent panel 2 was sandwiched between them and screwed together during assembly, but this proved difficult to assemble and required the efforts of two people. This will be explained later in the section on assembly procedures.
Although the integral structure is advantageous for ease of assembly, the present invention does not intend to exclude the integral structure. If lower cost is more important than ease of assembly, separate members may be attached.

(Advantageous configuration for compatibility with POS terminals, etc.)
6 is a plan view of the splash prevention panel 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention. It is assumed that a cash register drawer and a POS terminal are placed and used in the area of the width of the stand base 4 plus a certain width on the left and right (please also refer to FIG. 15). A table or counter on which devices such as a cash register drawer and a POS terminal are placed usually has an opening on the table top so that the power cables and drawer connection cables of these devices can be neatly routed. If the horizontal plate part of the stand base 4 was simply a flat plate, it would be necessary to place the stand base 4 at a position slightly offset from the opening and route the cables to the side in order to avoid filling up the opening. In that case, the cables, which are unintentional and unsightly, would be in the customer's line of sight. Therefore, the stand base 4 according to the embodiment of the present invention has a cutout part from the front to the center and a hole part at the rear, so that the power cable and the drawer connection cable can be directly led from directly below the device to the opening provided on the table top.
As shown in Fig. 6, the transparent panel 2 extends to the left side from the area where the POS terminal and other devices are placed. However, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the lower part is open so that products and other items can be handed over, and the shape is an L-shape rotated 180 degrees when viewed from the front. Even if the customer and the store clerk can face each other above the POS terminal, it would be pointless if they were to face each other when the terminal shifts to the side to hand over the product. Therefore, the transparent panel 2 is designed to block the view between the customer and the store clerk even when the terminal is in a horizontal position shifted from the POS terminal.
However, if the business style does not involve frequent face-to-face contact between customers and store clerks for the delivery of merchandise, it is of course possible to use a rectangular transparent panel 2.

(Configuration of Support Member)
7 is an enlarged view of part B in FIG. 6. The upper side of the pipe portion of the support member 3, which is the main body of the support member 3, is connected to the upper joint, and the upper joint is fixed to the upper part of the transparent panel 2 by the upper screw 31. The lower side of the pipe portion is connected to the lower joint, and the lower joint is fixed to the lower part of the transparent panel 2 by the lower screw 32. The support member 3 is not a framework attached to the transparent panel 2, but is U-shaped in a side view extending parallel to the transparent panel 2 at a position separated from the transparent panel 2, so that it contributes sufficiently to the structure. The support member 3 is detachable from the transparent panel 2, so that if it is once removed from one side of the transparent panel 2 and then reattached to the opposite side, it is possible to realize a splash prevention panel 1 of a left-right inversion type.
In this structure of the support member, the transparent panel and the support member do not come into contact with each other except for the portion where they are connected and fixed. This structure has the advantage that the contact area between the transparent panel and the support member is small, making cleaning, especially wiping, easier. However, since alcohol can be used, if the difficulty in wiping can be overlooked to some extent, the support member can be made of a thick metal plate or the like.
The structure of the support member can also be said to be a structure in which it is connected to the lower fixed part of the transparent panel and is connected to the upper fixed part in a manner that gradually moves away from the lower fixed part. More specifically, as shown in Figure 1, it is connected in an inverted V shape, but a V-shaped connection is also possible. With this structure, it is possible to provide customers with a customer-side display, also known as a customer display or customer-side display, with good visibility.

The auxiliary side wall 422 gives rigidity to the stand auxiliary member 42, and the panel stopper 424 makes it easy to position the transparent panel 2 when assembling it. The configuration of the stand auxiliary member 42 is one of the points that greatly contributes to the self-supporting strength and ease of assembly of the splash prevention panel 1, and can be said to be one of the major features of the present invention.

(Assembly procedure for splash prevention panels)
The following describes the procedure for assembling the splash prevention panel 1. Fig. 10 shows the state of the splash prevention panel 1 before assembly when unpacked, and shows the product as a splash prevention panel assembly kit.
The part indicated as "Circle Number 1 Fence Assy" is a transparent panel 2 to which a support member 3 is screwed to form an integrated unit. However, only the upper part is fixed with screws, and the lower part is secured with shipping tape. Note that the transparent panel 2 shown in this figure is not the L-shaped one rotated 180 degrees as explained so far, but a rectangular one.
The part indicated as "Circled Number 2 Stand Base" is the stand base 4 described in this specification, and as already explained, is an integrated structure in which the stand main body 41 and the stand auxiliary member 42 are fixed by welding. In addition, the package contains four screws (two screws for fastening the stand main body 41, the transparent panel 2, and the stand auxiliary member 42 at two points on the lowest end, and two spare screws).

11 to 14 are diagrams showing the assembly procedure in the order of steps. First, the transport tape attached to the lower end of the support member 3 shown in FIG. 11 is peeled off, and the screws temporarily fixing the support member 3 are temporarily removed. Since the transparent panel 2 is supported by the fitting portion, this adjustment work can be easily performed by one person.
After that, temporarily fasten the stand base with the two screws that were removed and two of the four screws that were included in the package, as shown in Fig. 13. Finally, tighten the temporarily fastened screws from the rear side of the stand base using a screwdriver, as shown in Fig. 14.

It will be easily understood that the ease of assembly described above is due to the integral structure of the stand main body 41 and the stand auxiliary member 42 of the stand base 4 of this embodiment. If the structure is not integral, in other words, if two separate flat plates without any fitting parts are assembled by screwing them from the front and back of the transparent panel 2, at least two workers are required, one to support the panel and one to screw them in. As a countermeasure against viral infections that are highly contagious through droplet infection, it is important to reduce the assembly work and prevent infection between workers, and the integral structure contributes greatly to infection prevention. However, it goes without saying that if it is sufficient to deal with ordinary infections that are not highly contagious, it is possible to implement a structure other than the integral structure by placing importance on low cost.

(How to use splash prevention panels)
The splash prevention panel 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention has a simple structure, but can maintain a stable self-supporting state. This is because it is designed on the assumption that a cash register drawer or a POS terminal will be placed on top. Despite this, it is possible to neatly store the drawer connection cable and the power cable. Although a support member 3 is provided to maintain the strength of the panel, as can be seen from FIG. 15, it is possible to serve customers without creating a sense of incongruity between the store clerk and the customer. In this regard, a transparent panel without any frame or the like is so smart that you will not notice the panel's presence, and this clear panel is advantageous in that it will not become cloudy and will maintain its smartness forever.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the height is 80 cm, but this height is selected as an appropriate height for the scene assumed in this embodiment. The height of the splash prevention panel must be an appropriate height to block splashes between people facing each other from the surface on which it is installed. For example, in the case of a counter with a customer side height of about 1 m, a panel of about 80 cm is required, but the height to the counter on the customer side and the store side is not necessarily the same, and there are also configurations in which the store side is high and the customer side is low so that it is easy to see when handing over menus, etc. and products. Due to these factors, it is necessary to consider the height of the panel on the customer side and the store clerk side. When the specifications of the store counter are changed, it may be necessary to change the height of the splash prevention panel, but in the present invention, it is possible to deal with this by replacing only the panel with one of different specifications (height). In such a case, it is easy to understand that the feature of the present invention contributes to easy panel replacement.
So far, examples of use in situations where a cash register drawer or a POS terminal is installed have been described, but the present invention can also be used in situations where face-to-face sales equipment used in restaurants or weighing and pricing machines capable of issuing price labels used in butcher shops are installed. In these sales formats, multiple equipment may be arranged side by side, and naturally multiple splash prevention panels 1 will also be arranged side by side. In such cases, the distance between the splash prevention panels 1 and between the customer and the store clerk feels more natural, and is ideal because there is almost no sense of incongruity. In addition, it is also effective in terms of safety to apply a visible color, etc., to the outer edge of the counter, especially when the store clerk or customer passes by, using tape or paint to prevent the body from coming into contact with the outer edge.

A splash prevention panel assembly kit for assembling a splash prevention panel described in any one of claims 1 to 9 , characterized in that the transparent panel and the support member are fixed at approximately the upper end and the lower end of the front surface, while being packaged separately from the stand base.
