Description

The present invention relates to a bicycle basket cover.

Conventionally, basket covers that are attached to the front or rear basket of a bicycle to prevent items stored in the basket from being stolen by snatching or other theft have been known (see, for example, Patent Document 1). Such basket covers are widely constructed with a lid that can be opened and closed at the top opening of a cylindrical cover body. With such basket covers, the inside of the basket cover can be shielded from the outside by closing the lid, preventing theft by snatching or other theft.

Conventional car covers have fixing members such as strings at multiple points near the top end of the cover body, and are fixed to the car by tying the strings to the car. However, when strings are used as fixing members, the work required to fix the car cover to the car becomes complicated, which increases the workload of the user.

The present invention was made in consideration of the above-mentioned circumstances, and the problem that the present invention aims to solve is to provide a bicycle basket cover that can reduce the workload of the user by simplifying the work required to fasten the basket cover to the basket.

Below, we explain the means to solve the above problems.

A bicycle basket cover 10 (hereinafter simply referred to as "basket cover") according to a first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figs. 1 to 4. The basket cover 10 according to this embodiment is attached to the front basket B of a bicycle C or to a rear basket (not shown). As shown in Fig. 1, the basket cover 10 according to this embodiment is attached to the front basket B when used. In this embodiment, the direction of travel of the bicycle C (the left side in Fig. 1) is described as the front of the basket cover 10.

As shown in Figures 1 to 4, the basket cover 10 comprises a cylindrical cover body 11 with a bottom that is provided along the inner surface of the front basket B of the bicycle C, a lid 12 that can open and close the upper end opening of the cover body 11, and a lid fastener 13 for fixing and releasing the lid 12 to and from the cover body 11.

The cover body 11 is made of a waterproof and flexible sheet-like fiber material, and is formed to have a shape that is the same as or slightly smaller than the inner periphery of the front basket B. The cover body 11 is inserted into the front basket B from above, as shown by the dashed arrow in FIG. 2. The basket cover 10 according to this embodiment is used by inserting the cover body 11 into the front basket B, thereby preventing luggage and the like stored in the basket cover 10 from directly hitting the front basket B. As shown in FIG. 3, the cover body 11 is formed so that its upper end is positioned slightly above the upper end Bt of the front basket B when inserted into the front basket B. Also, as shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, the cover body 11 is fixed to the front basket B by a locking portion 14, which will be described later.

The lid 12 is formed of a sheet-like fiber material that is waterproof and flexible, just like the cover body 11, and has a lid fastener 13 on its periphery. The lid 12 has a shape similar to that of the top surface of the front basket B and is roughly the same size as or slightly larger than that top surface. The rear edge of the lid 12 is connected to the rear edge of the upper end of the cover body 11, and the upper end opening of the cover body 11 can be opened and closed using this connection as a fulcrum.

The lid fastener 13 is a fastener for fixing or releasing the outer edge of the lid 12 to the top end of the cover body 11. The lid fastener 13 is provided so as to be freely opened and closed by two sliders 13a. It is also possible to provide the lid fastener 13 around the entire periphery of the lid 12 so that the lid 12 can be removed when it is opened.

The upper end of the cover body 11 is provided with multiple locking portions 14 (six in this embodiment). Specifically, two locking portions 14 are provided on the front and rear surfaces of the cover body 11, and one locking portion 14 is provided on each of the left and right side surfaces. The cover body 11 is fixed to the upper end Bt of the front basket B by the locking portions 14.

The locking portion 14 includes an inner locking piece 15a, which is a first locking piece, and an outer locking piece 16a, which is a second locking piece. The inner locking piece 15a and the outer locking piece 16a are formed of a strip-shaped material that can be wound around the upper end Bt of the front basket B.

The inner locking piece 15a is provided with an inner side fastener 15b, which is a first hook-and-loop fastener. The outer locking piece 16a is provided with an outer side fastener 16b, which is a second hook-and-loop fastener. In detail, as shown in FIG. 4, the inner side fastener 15b is provided on the outer surface when the inner locking piece 15a is wrapped around the upper end Bt of the front car B. The outer side fastener 16b is provided on the inner surface when the outer locking piece 16a is wrapped around the upper end Bt of the front car B.

In the above-mentioned locking portion 14, the inner locking piece 15a is wound around the upper end Bt, and the outer locking piece 16a is wound around the outer surface, so that the inner side fastener 15b and the outer side fastener 16b are attached to each other. In this way, the cover body 11 is fixed to the upper end Bt of the front basket B by adhering the inner locking piece 15a and the outer locking piece 16a of the locking portion 14 with a hook-and-loop fastener.

As described above, the basket cover 10 according to this embodiment employs a locking portion 14 equipped with an inner locking piece 15a and an outer locking piece 16a, each of which is provided with a hook-and-loop fastener, as a fixing member between the cover body portion 11 and the front basket B. This makes it possible to fix the basket cover 10 to the front basket B simply by wrapping the inner locking piece 15a and the outer locking piece 16a around the upper end portion Bt of the front basket B. In other words, the basket cover 10 simplifies the work required to fix the basket cover 10 to the front basket B, thereby reducing the workload of the user.

In addition, in the basket cover 10 according to this embodiment, the inner side fastener 15b is provided on the outer surface of the inner locking piece 15a, and the outer side fastener 16b is provided on the inner surface of the outer locking piece 16a. This allows the inner locking piece 15a to be stored inside the outer locking piece 16a when the cover main body 11 is fixed to the front basket B by the locking portion 14. In other words, as shown in FIG. 3, when the basket cover 10 is in use, it is possible to make the locking portion 14 compact, so that the design of the basket cover 10 can be maintained at a high level.

Next, the basket cover 110 according to the second embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 5 and 6. The basket cover 110 according to this embodiment is also intended to be attached to the front basket B of a bicycle or a rear basket (not shown).

In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 6, the cover body 111 covers the lower side of the front car B, so that its length in the height direction is slightly longer than the height of the front car B. A slit 111a is formed on the rear surface of the cover body 111. In addition, an expandable portion 111b that is continuous with the slit 111a is provided on the lower surface of the cover body 111, and is configured to be contractible by a rubber band or the like.

The cover body 111 is attached to the front car B so as to cover the front car B from above, as shown by the dashed line arrow in Figure 5. At this time, the slit 111a is widened and the front car B is inserted inside the cover body 111, and then the expandable portion 111b is contracted to cover the bottom surface of the front car B, thereby storing the front car B inside the cover body 111. As shown in Figure 6, the cover body 111 is formed so that its upper end is positioned slightly above the upper end Bt of the front car B when the front car B is inserted.

The upper end of the cover body 111 is provided with multiple locking portions 114 (six in this embodiment). Specifically, as shown in FIG. 6, two locking portions 114 are provided on the front and rear sides of the inner peripheral surface of the cover body 111, and one locking portion 114 is provided on each of the left and right sides. The cover body 111 is fixed to the upper end Bt of the front basket B by the locking portions 114.

The locking portion 114 has an inner locking piece 115a, which is a first locking piece, and an outer locking piece 116a, which is a second locking piece. The inner locking piece 115a and the outer locking piece 116a are formed of a strip-shaped material that can be wound around the upper end Bt of the front basket B.

The inner engaging piece 115a is provided with an inner side fastener 115b, which is a first hook-and-loop fastener. The outer engaging piece 116a is provided with an outer side fastener 116b, which is a second hook-and-loop fastener. The inner fastener 115b and the outer side fastener 116b are attached to each other by wrapping the outer engaging piece 116a around the outer surface of the inner engaging piece 115a wrapped around the upper end Bt. In this way, the cover main body 111 is fixed to the upper end Bt of the front basket B by bonding the inner engaging piece 115a and the outer engaging piece 116a of the engaging part 114 with the hook-and-loop fastener.

As described above, the basket cover 110 according to this embodiment also employs a locking portion 114 having an inner locking piece 115a and an outer locking piece 116a, each of which is provided with a hook-and-loop fastener, as a fixing member between the cover body portion 111 and the front basket B. This makes it possible to fix the basket cover 110 to the front basket B simply by wrapping the inner locking piece 115a and the outer locking piece 116a around the upper end portion Bt of the front basket B. In other words, the basket cover 110 simplifies the work required for fixing the basket cover 110 to the front basket B, thereby reducing the workload of the user.

In addition, in the basket cover 110 according to this embodiment, the cover body 111 is provided along the outer surface of the front basket B. As shown in FIG. 6, the locking portion 114 is provided on the inner surface of the cover body 111, and when the top opening of the cover body 111 is closed by the lid 112, the locking portion 114 is accommodated inside the space formed by the lid 112 and the cover body 111.

The basket cover 110 according to this embodiment is configured as described above, so that it cannot be removed from the front basket B when the cover body 111 is closed by the lid 112. That is, when the lid 112 is closed by the lid fastener 13, the locking portion 114 cannot be removed from the front basket B unless the lid fastener 13 is operated to open the lid 112. For this reason, when the lid 112 is closed, the cover body 111 cannot be removed from the front basket B. In this way, the basket cover 110 according to this embodiment is configured so that the locking portion 114 is housed inside the lid 112 and the cover body 111, thereby making it possible to further improve crime prevention performance.
